it's interesting. i've been lurking abt these forums pretty much all day and there is strangeness afoot.

 

it reminds me of when it got closer to launch for ME3. suddenly there were all these new posters. which i thought nothing of. you know games getting closer, more ppl want in. but then i noticed vast majority--not all--but many were there acting in very trollish, saboteur-y ways.

 

i'm noticing sumthing similar now w/dai. my mind can't help but drift to corporate saboteur stuff. it's big biz. companies hire ppl left and right these days to either bolster their product online while acting like "everybody" consumer. or hire them to bash the heck outta any competition. also to quell any dissent from others that may be complaining abt their product.

 

gov'ts do it too. "there is a war on for your mind".

 

at any rate, i'm suspicious.

I still have my N64 :) First console I ever got, along with my gameboy colour. Sadly, some kids took my gameboy because they thought that girls shouldn't be playing video games, and it doesn't work anymore because they put sand in it. :(


I was obsessed with Pokemon!! (Even have the complete collection of all the original cards in a binder). Played all the games on my gameboy and N64. I also collected many if their video tapes. ;-; (one of the absolute fondest memories of mine because at the time...my family was going through rough patches and I was constantly being taken away from my dad for a long time..... So, whenever me and my big bro got to see him, he would take us to this huge mall to get Pokemon cards and see the Pokemon movies. That show will forever have a special place in my heart!)

I still love Pokemon! My first games were Pokemon Stadium and Pokemon Yellow, so I have a huge soft spot for Pikachu. ^_^ I only had 5 channels on the tv growing up as well, so the few Pokemon tapes I got was watched repeatedly non-stop  :lol:

 

Pokemon also has a really special place in my heart because it was how I bonded with my first best friend ever (I was a really shy and lonely kid), but I also got my N64, gameboy and games from my grandpa, who was the only one who didn't really care that I didn't want to play with barbies at the time. He was super traditional, but it meant a lot that he cared more about what I wanted than what he thought would be "proper" for a girl to play with like the rest of my family did. Made me feel like maybe there wasn't something wrong with me after all, which is pretty important to a kid.

 

As odd as this sounds, I'm glad that Pokemon seems to have helped you and your brother as much as it helped me.
