Well it was the more attacking us that got me. If they were here to genuinely debate, that would be a different story. But calling us feminists and trying to joke about sexual slavery is not something I have the patience for.

One of the saddest things is when I hear someone say, "I'm not a feminist, but..." and then they go on to say something really positive, progressive, and, well, very feminist.
Being a feminist is being a good human being! Embracing equality for all, regardless of gender, race, sexuality, etc. One day these good but confused folks will realize it's not an insult

Oh, of course! I don't find what s/he did a debate at all. I don't get why people have to be so rude over a character and their fans. I was just wistfully saying it would be nice if we could have a respectful conversation one day, with a nice person with simply differing views. *long sighing in to the distanceeee* At least this thread is great at handling people like that, it makes me happy.

When people now a days think feminist, they think of the extremist women that want to be held on a higher pedestal than others. Sad really, because my grandparents and mother are traditional feminists, or the ones that want equal rights with men.
