One of the saddest things is when I hear someone say, "I'm not a feminist, but..." and then they go on to say something really positive, progressive, and, well, very feminist.

Being a feminist is being a good human being! Embracing equality for all, regardless of gender, race, sexuality, etc. One day these good but confused folks will realize it's not an insult

Indeed. If Le Troll thought it would be offensive, they were wrong. What's offensive is their plainly sexist attitude:

"I don't get why you like this guy who doesn't conform to the standards of male awesomeness that I adhere to and I just can't stand the idea that you have enough mind of your own to like something that isn't prescribed and doesn't suit the formula I'm putting out. Since I bothered to come in here, you owe me an explanation for this discrepancy!"

So....being on topic....(this is harder than I thought)....um.. Cullen, how do you think he will be effected by this whole "Red Templars" thing?

Cullen on mages: Some mages fine, other mages are dangerous!

Cullen on red lyrium: Hey Sandal! Disenchant the red lyrium!

Cullen on red lyrium users: Only okay is their name is Sandal!

 

I think Cullen would have a problem with red templars, but would be sad having to kill them since many of those "Red Templars" were his friends.

So....being on topic....(this is harder than I thought)....um.. Cullen, how do you think he will be effected by this whole "Red Templars" thing?

I think he'd be pretty depressed by their actions. He might even have known some of them, been friends with some of them. I think we may have been assuming they're the Templar zealots, but as it sounds there are multiple Templar factions, it could just be most of them were moderates whose superiors forced the red lyrium on to them, or themselves were forced to turn to as lyrium supplies ran dry.

So. Which mage do you think Cullen is more likely to get along with? I'm thinking Solas, since it's kinda in his description to be open-minded and willing to talk.

I think Cullen and Dorian will get along well. Dorian strikes me as someone who is self-confident, good with magic and actually a nice person. I'm not so sure about Solas. He wasn't in a circle and teached himself how to use magic. Even if Cullen has changed his opinion about the whole templar-circle-system, he might not approve of a mage who never had proper training. On the other hand, I think he might sympathize with Solas desire to help. Their relationship will probably be a bit conflicted. I don't believe that Cullen will like Vivienne. He will probably respect her for her position but she comes across as power hungry and Cullen has seen first hand what that can do to someone.

I still don't know what exactly the Red Templars are doing but Cullen will be very vocal about it. I can't imagine that he will do nothing . Once he sees the Red Lyrium or once he sees possessed templars, he will probably tell the Inquisitor about it. Maybe this is even Cullen's sidequest?
