Welcome! One important question to get out of the way now; do you have any pets?
You never asked me if I have any pets!

To pass the time, another random question! How old will you guys make your Inquisitor? I think the range is something like 20-40 (not exact, but in that range.)
My Inquisitor is 29 years old. So not super young, but not as old as everyone (except for maybe Sera) is.
(don't mind me just catching up on the thread!)

*GASP* Oh, no! What have I done!?!?! I've forgotten the Code Of The Cullenites. This shall surely bring shame to my entire village! *flail* (Do you have any pets, Boom?)

I might not of if I weren't here the day you joined. I always ask the newbs. ..............Do you have any pets, loominous? It's kinda a Cullenite requirement.

No
I had two cats -- Simi and Spock -- but I had to relocate them to another home when we moved last year. Twas sad
I miss my kitty cats
A requirment? I have children and I refer to them as either kittens or the litter... Will that do?
Aww, I'm sorry Boom. but you still had cats, so you can stay with us.

It's okay. When I first started posting I'd usually go right back to lurking, so I'm easy to miss. ![]()
I have two black cats who are brother and sister
Geena is my pretty graceful Princess who likes to play hard to get ("Yes, you may pet me, but only if you come to me. One does not simply walk up to another for a pet!"), and George is a clumsy adorable ass**** (my boyfriend's affectionate name for him). He's kinda big for a housecat, so he sort of walks like he doesn't know what to do with his limbs most of the time. Kinda like how when you get your first growth spurt and you're not used to the difference
He falls off of things all the time, but I love him. Both of them.

I wanna revisit the topic of Cullen's lyrium addiction. I am thinking maybe his personal quest might center around that. But the more I see of him in DAI, the more I think he's no longer on lyrium. What do you guys think?
HOLY **** I GOT IN
Welcome!

Aww, I don't have any pets. Even flies, spiders and cockroaches don't survive long where I live. There are tiny bugs who eat my parquet, can I count them as pets? ![]()
That's so cute! How old is she? My daughter is 2 and she has started to call him special *shrugs*
That's interesting. I wonder if it is Iron Bull, since he is still reporting to the Qun. I remember one of the devs saying that your inquisitor can be OK with this or you can tell him not to -- or something along those lines. What if you choose to tell Iron Bull no more reporting but he does it behind your back anyway?
She's a year and half, and she's just learning to talk, and says some crazy things sometimes.
I don't think you can demand from the Bull to stop reporting back? It looks like it's the condition under which he joins us - that he will be honest with us, but we don't freak out about him reporting to the Qunari. Maybe we will be able to convince him to leave Qun eventually, although I'm not sure I would want to do it
So remember that Redcliffe demo we saw, its for certain that I will pick Cullen for that job, he is a Templar dealing with mages is his forte. So will you folk be doing something likewise or not think about it till you get to it?
I think Cullen (and his soldiers) would be a good choice for the mission. It seems like a more direct strategy using military force would be less likely to result in anyone being captured or tortured.
However, before I make a final decision I'll be considering all the advisors' proposals, so I won't be saying for certain till I get to it in-game. ![]()

I think we will be able to either drive him towards the Qun or convince him to leave it behind. Kind of like what you could do with Sebastian.

This one is really hard for me. I had always thought that he would still be heavily using lyrium but now I'm not so sure. I contributed the dark circles under his eyes with lyrium usage but I think it was Gala that mentioned it could be due to him having nightmares about Kinloch and now that he is in a place where the vale isn't so thin, that he may finally be getting some sleep. I do think he would be using it but how much and his dependency on it -- I have no idea. It could very well be part of his personal quest.
Goodnight my lovely Cullenites! ![]()

I would love if he quit, but:
a) I don't think it's possible. We have never heard about anyone quitting that. Samson says that even trying nearly kills you. ![]()
Cullen still wears templar insignia, so apparently he thinks he's a templar, and he's proud of it. And since it was retconned that you can be a templar without lyrium (it was, right?), I suppose Cullen still needs the stuff to make his abilities work. I think if he lost his abilities, he wouldn't be wearing those gauntlets. Because it would be a lie, and he seems to be a very honest person.

Well, I kind of had a theory that the circles under his eyes were more like an anatomical thing. I had a friend at school, he always looked like he was on drugs and never slept, but it was just how his hypodermic tissues worked.
But since Cullen got rid of that, I guess he had the dark circles because of stress/nightmares and Kirkwall
Goodnight my lovely Cullenites!
Night Eric! ![]()
I think the dark circles had a lot to do with Cullen not sleeping well. The lyrium may have been a factor too, but I don't see it as the main one.

I think he has to be on lyrium since I doubt he would be over withdrawal symptoms so soon. I imagine templar talents will get handy as well with all apostates around.
So, about the betrayal element - apparently it was just an example. They were talking about complications a romance should have (to be interesting, I guess). Because BioWare writers approach the romance as a story, and a story must always have some kind of an obstacle the hero must overcome. So it may be, for example, that the character's heart was broken in the past, or that the character betrays you at some point, and if you can forgive them for that, you are getting a happy ending (kind of)
So it doesn't mean that someone of DAI love interests will betray us. I don't think they would have dropped a spoiler like that
Although everything is possible with BioWare (Rains of Castamere starts playing) ![]()
I just don't see Cullen as the betraying type, regardless. Cullen has plenty of faults, but I think it would be hard to argue that disloyalty is one of them - in fact he goes too far in the other direction. I'm sure his romance arc (and probably even his friendship arc) will have plenty of complications, but I don't think Cullen betraying the Inquisitor is going to be one of them. ![]()
What's this? I've actually reached the end of the thread?! Now I'm afraid that in the time it takes to write this post, twenty more pages will sprout up...

Mmmm, no, definitely not the betraying type, I agree. I personally think he is loyal to a fault in DA:2 -- as you said, he goes too far in this direction. I would still like him to be loyal but not to the point of where he is blinded by it.
