Mmmm, no, definitely not the betraying type, I agree. I personally think he is loyal to a fault in DA:2 -- as you said, he goes too far in this direction. I would still like him to be loyal but not to the point of where he is blinded by it.

Do you think it could related to possibly a perceived betrayal by the inquisitor?

Not talking about flirting, maybe making a decision you know he or any character doesn't agree with or you lie to them or so forth?

It's been said that if you push the companions far enough then they will leave but it takes huge amounts of pushing to get it to the breaking point. I don't think it is the same for the advisers though. In the end I think they are all choosing to be part of the Inquisition for the greater good so they are all loyal to the Inquisition as a whole but if your Inquisitor is seen by them to be doing more harm than good, then they aren't going to stick around to watch you turn Thedas into an even bigger **** hole. Is that what you mean?

Since I’m disturbed by the idea that Cullen was so stupid in DA2, I’ve tried to explain his passive stance against Hawke. This is my idea.

INQUISITOR: So, all of you have met the Hero of Ferelden and Hawke. How were they?

LELIANA: The Warden was a close friend of mine. Hawke I only meet briefly. But it was hilarious that she thought I didn’t notice she was a mage. Seriously, she cast spells! What did she think? Did she think I was blind?

CULLEN: Yes, she was oblivious to the thought that someone noticed. A robe and a staff, not every other person wears that.

CASSANDRA: Varric made it seem as you never said a word about it.

CULLEN: Meredith told us to hold back on Hawke, I never understood why.

VARRIC: I do.

INQUISITOR: You bribed her?

VARRIC: You clearly never met that mad woman. No, I found out she had a dirty little secret and blackmailed her.

CULLEN: You did what?!

VARRIC: Oh, Cullen. You must have known something was up. Every mage in Kirkwall was fair game, but all surrounding Hawke was off limits. A little suspicious, won’t you agree?

CASSANDRA: How come you never told me that?

VARRIC: Why would I tell it to you? No one else knew, not even Hawke was aware.

INQUISITOR: So what was her dirty little secret?

VARRIC: Nothing of importance today.

Kinda. Talking about companions betraying the PC but the other way around but it blends into and become what you said too :)

I was making dinner and I was think what you you guys think about how the mage-templar war will be resolved (if at all)?

Personally I hope you can find a middle ground to resolve the conflict instead of just choosing one side over the other. I tend not to play mages but I do tend to side with mages but I can see both sides have faults and no one is completely right. I mean it might be harder to find a middle ground but I'd like the opportunity to at least try

EDIT: Cullen for ToP (best I can do sorry!)cullen-screenshot2_v1.jpg

I don't think it will be resolved in this game. We can probably push it into the direction that we want but that may be it. I don't actually support either group really, there are gargantuan faults on both sides in my opinion. Leaving the mages to govern themselves terrifies me just as much as giving control back to the templars. Ultimately I'd like to play the middle ground as well. The circles are needed, the templars are needed and freedom for mages is needed. How I'm going to go about achieving that -- I have no idea lol

I hope in some part it's not glazed over though and we can at least have some effect on the outcome/resolution.

Not sure how much it effects on the overall game or how much if interfers with the inquisition

I don't think it will be glazed over its just that this game is about resolving the mage/templar conflict, I think we will get to do that in later games but we will certainly be spearheading it into the direction that we want for it to be picked up by our protagonist in the next game.  :)

I think we will have to achieve some kind of stability if we want to save the world. Isn't it the Inquisition's purpose to restore the order, close the tears in the Veil, and give Cullen a happy ending? ;)

So I think we will stop this mage-templar war, but how will be up to us. I hope there will be a compromise, that both sides will be ok with. I want mages to have more freedom, families, the right to own the land; I want templars without lyrium addiction, and I want them to be on the same side as mages - to maintain the order in the Circle, and to hunt mages who became criminals, and demons, and abominations. Such changes never happen fast however.

I'd love this. I'd like more cooperation between the two and mages used much more for the ordinary folk especially with healing and education.

Between the two of us? YEAH! :P

But I like to think when push comes to shove we generally have each others back like the ANZACs!

Besides I admit to being a tragic for a hot Kiwi guy (Karl Urban, anyone? ;) )

EDIT: Actually Gala, I was wondering about your art. If you don't mind me asking do you draw that by hand (whether on paper/tablet/app) or do you use a program? I love your art and wondering how you go about creating such great works

I think it was somewhere during the first 10-20 minutes of the romance video. The sound was not always good however, maybe I missed something. They were talking about how a game romace unfolds, and there is some kind of betrayal, and if you forgive your LI, then you can continue the romance. I'll try to listen to it again when my daughter leaves me alone :)
She thinks Cullen is a bunny, or a kitten, btw. One of us!

LOL I saw this on tumblr and couldn't help posting it here cuz it's super accurate!
"friend-of-red-jenny:
The more I think about it, the more amused I am by how ridiculously attractive all of the advisors are.
Cassandra, what were you even thinking? Don’t you know that these people are the public face of your organization?
Half of the Inquisition’s legacy is going to be written in dirty ballads."

Oh, a betrayal element? I wouldn't mind one, so long as it isn't the kind of betrayal that makes the character a scumbag rather than simply nuanced and doing what they believed was right. I don't believe Cullen would have a betrayal element in his story, though. He's not that type of character, I don't believe, and more important the Advisors at least have to be trust worthy.

(Now if anyone is like Doc from SW:TOR? They're getting their arse left.)

Thank you for such kind words! I mostly draw in PaintTool SAI (paintings and doodles) and Clip Studio Paint Pro (comics) with wacom Intuos 4 (that's my tablet). When I don't have the access to my PC, or my laptop, I draw on Samsung Galaxy Note tablet in Autodesk Sketch Pro. And sometimes I sketch with pencils and/or a pen on paper, like this Daddy Cullen!

"Wasn't your... Sire, didn't your mole used to be on the other side?"

"I have a MOLE?!!?"

Although I didn't notice he still had the mole in DAII. I thought they had left it out? Although in the third picture it kinda looks like whoever put the mole in kinda just gave up and decided to put it somewhere in the middle of where it was in Origins and DAII.

You *may* have thought about this a tad too much... oh who I am kidding?! No you didn't :P

I never noticed his freckle (I thought it was a mole lol) in DA2
