Ah, I see.
...I...I'm now imaging your Dalish elf rugby tackling anyone who dares to take her staff.
Quite possibly, but don't forget the enraged spellcasting (Durkon's using his energy drain power in that shot).

Ooooh, dear. A warning to the wise: never touch the staff!

It is indeed something of an "Oghren's junk" moment.
So I just discovered Sebastian's DLC was originally going to be a Nathaniel DLC and they changed their minds. I am slightly sulky now
What. Where does one find information like this? And where can I send my sternly worded letter full of opinions about that choice?
Hopes this means we'll see him in Inquisition.
So for everyone that may have missed out, I wrote some more... stuff, the other day that is not NSFW.
For those that may have already read, this is the one where the Inquisitor is injured so you don't have to read again. ![]()
I was pretty tired when I wrote it so I think there is room for improvement, don't judge. ![]()
Do you think there will be The Interview today? ![]()

I'm thinking tomorrow if it comes this week at all. Today is likely "WHICH ROGUE" via twitter.
RE: character ages, I saw this very nice chart once that combined all known information from the games/novels/etc to show how old major characters are.
Hawke's age is generally confirmed to be set, right? In DA2's prologue she's 24, 25 in Act 1, making her 34 in 9:40.
My Warden Amell would be 29 in 9:40 and she's my youngest character.
I struggle with my Warden Cousland's age, because his father calls him "pup" and his older brother doesn't look that old, but I want him to be closer in age to Anora since he marries her... but if he's 30 in 9:30, why haven't his parents married him off yet? Anyway, going with that age, he would be 40 in 9:40.
My Warden Brosca who did the Ultimate Sacrifice was 25 during the events of Origins.
I want my Inquisitors to be close in age to NY Wardens and Hawkes. For now, my mage Trevelyan who is romancing Cullen will be 32.
As awkward as it would be for the Anora/Cousland pair, I always got the impression that Couslands, Mages and City Elves were around 18-20 in Origins. That's just how it 'feels' to me, though.
It's late and I'm game, hit me with your smut Shakalaka!
*slaps you in the face with a big bag of it* I have a lot of smut

I guess I just never meshed with Anders in DA:2 *shrugs* I never even romanced him. My first ever play-through I was "aw yeah, Anders nom nom nom," and he went "I would drown us in blood to keep you safe," and I was like "OK... Hey look, there's Fenris!"
Oh my gosh, I just have to comment on this with a big old YES. When he said that, my first Hawke, who was blithe and deflective almost to a fault, just cocked an eyebrow and made the decision that he was just too self serious for her. Plus, there was his whole "I'll break your heart blah blah blah I'm mad bad dangerous to know" shtick, which she chose to take seriously, instead of as a challenge. Merrill was a much better fit for my Hawke, which surprised me.
I'm confused. Why do you think Cullen is addicted to Lyrium?Cullen was the last surviving templar in the upper levels of the Circle Tower during the Broken Circle quest.Did he have enough lyrium for all the time he was captive? Did the templars can live without consuming lyrium? How long?Sorry if this topic has already been discussed.
By the end of DA2 he would have been a templar for at least 10 yrs so it's safe to assume he would be addicted.
Maybe the withdrawal symptoms increased his emotional state when trapped in the tower too, although being trapped and tormented is enough to send anyone over the edge, the lack of lyrium could have exasperated it.

Well, in order to use their abilities, Templars must use Lyrium. Even Alistair used Lyrium for a little while before DAO, which is why he could still use his Templar abilities in that game. Eventually, though, he would no longer be able to use them, so he started up again in the comics.
Which helps out with your next question: Templars can be off Lyrium for some time before they must get more. This was specifically addressed in the Asunder, if I'm correct. I haven't read it yet (MUST GET ON THAT PHATE) but I think a Templar said she had a month before she'd start to lose her mind to Lyrium addiction.
Now, we're not certain the specifics of lyrium addiction--how much does a person have to take before they are actually addicted to it, and how long must they be taking lyrium before not taking it becomes dangerous to their mental state, what's the minimum dose they have to take--but there was an interview, where one of the Dev's--Mark Darrah, if I'm not mistaken--said that addiction was part of DAI's story. Now, that could be specifically related to red lyrium, but I think it's likely they'll talk about regular lyrium, too.

Did he though? I remember him telling my warden he never had it as you are not given it until after you make your final vows, he was recruited as a warden before that.

I remember them doing that a while ago, before Mage and Warrior. I hope they don't do it again! I need an interview X_X
They confirmed that a mage Inquisitor was originally from the Circle, right?

Human mage yes

Yeah, DG said he did. So, either he lied or he didn't know.

In LadyInsanity's interview, he said the human mage Inquisitor is from a noble family, but taken to the Circle. I can't recall if they were taken at a young age or not.
Well, Good Heavens! How to make a grown woman blush..... Is it getting hot in here?
I really liked the bit at the end where he's talking about braiding the apprentices hair for them when they are little, that was really sweet.
We were talking the other day about how we hoped that it was the nicer Templars that went out and to retrieve the children that had come into their magic. I think that the Cullen from before crazy Uldred would have been nice to the little ones that were frightened and lonely, especially if they were traveling to the circle with him and he and a couple of other templars were all the child had to rely on. I think he would have made the effort.
Oh, and wahoo for smut!
