They confirmed that a mage Inquisitor was originally from the Circle, right?

Yes. Was born in a noble family, but taken to the Circle.

^At the very least, giving lyrium to a Templar will up their resistance to magic. It would also assuredly boost the powers that they learn. I'm of the mind that it could be possible to learn the abilities without lyrium, but they would pale in comparison to those people who do utilize lyrium.

Well, if the theory that EVERYONE once had magic is true...  :o

Except dwaves, apparently.

Except for whatever the devil Sandal is.

'Not enchantment'? Sandal you get back here and explain right now.

^I think the dwarves' inability to use magic is related to the raising of the Veil.

My theory on dwarves and magic was always that, after so many generations of living in close proximity to lyrium, they developed an immunity to it, which lead to a decrease in their magical abilities, until they no longer had any. And I still say that Sandal is the last un-tainted Old God. Sticking tho that theory until it is proven otherwise.

Hmm. Since dwarves apparently lose their immunity to lyrium the longer they live on the surface, do you think that given enough time on the surface away from lyrium (hundreds of years properly, unless evolution was rapidly accelerated somehow), they might be able to gain the ability to use magic?

Do they?

I'm pretty fascinated with how a DwarfQuisitor will handle this fade hand thing, myself, so I'm curious about their resistance/immunity.

Apparently so, according to the Lyrium page on the wiki at least.

Doubt it. There have been surface dwarves for many, many years. I don't think time is a factor.

Do you think, though, that an Orzammar dwarf would have been less susceptible to the red lyrium than Bartrand was?

Ah, Thane.

Yep!  ;)  Even knowing how that ends, my Femshep can't romance another. Here's to hoping they include another hot Drell in ME4!

Doubt it. Red lyrium seems to play by its own set of rules, easily bypassing Dwarven lyrium resistance.

It definitely does seem to have its own rules.

Edit: Aaaaaaaand of course I'm first post. xD Have a Cullen: (gif, not a picture)

Spoiler

From princessstabbity

By the way, princessstabbity.com is not affiliated with that tumblr. Although the tumblr has some pretty cool pics on it ;) I was asked about it previously so just thought I'd mention it. I did make one.. nothing on it yet. http://the-other-pri...ity.tumblr.com/

Speaking of dwarves, I just realized something (and I'm probably way behind the curve here, as I usually am). The Dwarf Inquisitor is from House Cadash - and so was Shale.

Spoiler

Makes me wonder if our companions or advisors will comment on our crazy golem/ex-golem ancestor who hates pigeons...

I guess I never took the "drown us in blood" thing as creepily as most. I always just saw it as I will kill anyone who even thinks of hurting you. Or maybe I just ignore it because of the noise Adam Howden makes during that kiss  I'm so shallow *shifty*

You and me both. That's the way I took that comment. Call me naive.  ^_^  I liked both Anders and Fenris but I romanced Anders in more playthroughs. I guess it's because I always sided with mages and because he is a mage, he is more sympathetic to their situation. I felt both characters were far too judgmental of the other side though. Fenris was always raging about mages and Anders made all Templars seem evil.   It was like, chill out guys.

I definitely tagged onto Anders. That's the way I took that comment as well. I still remember the reaction to that kiss on BSN, priceless.

Good morning, and sadly, I am out of coffee, which is a nightmare.
