Naw, I don't know what race I'm playing yet lol.
Still doing a self-insert? Thinking about a Qunmage?

I wonder when we'll get the next wave of DAI news? I don't think the convention coming up this week will give us any new news since it seems to be just the E3 demo again.
I know Aaron said "Wait till you see what I have planned for Gamescom" in response to the reaction of E3 ![]()
I'm just that old, actually. Celebrating my 40th in a couple of months. Which means my oldest, who's just shy of 15 now, is absolutely determined that she's old enough to start playing Dragon Age and Mass Effect, hehe.
I'm 33 and my oldest is 13. She has tried her hand at DA2 and she loves the story but has no patience for the gameplay. Not too long ago she rather bashfully told me that she's into yaoi stories - no sex, just the romantic stuff - that her anime series she watches have exposed her to. She said, "I kind of... like stories that pair so-and-so together even if that's not how it was in the show". She seemed to expect me to be... I dunno. She was surprised when I told her I understood and that it wasn't so different from my Dean/Cas shipping or other homosexual ships I have and that I read it and write such myself. After that she was all chatty about her ships and it was sooo adorable! The next day she brought me a cut-out of Cortana from a Game Informer magazine and she'd written on it: "I'm so glad you're my mom. If I had a different mom, I would kill her and go find you."
There are times I can't believe I have a teenager. I remember playing Thief with her napping on my torso and passing my all-night vigils over my sick son with Dragon Age Origins to keep me company. I've always played video games, and when I became a parent, I simply melded the two together. Now I play video games with my kids and we have a blast! I think parents who game will become the norm as generations pass. Of course, the drawback to this is my daughter likes to tease me for having Cullen as my phone's wallpaper. ![]()

That's still not until the middle of August, a little less than a month.
All I really know is that I'll be playing as either an Elf or a human female mage, depending on which I can make look like me and how I feel about their origins. Tbh, I'm not keen on being a noble or a dalish, but whatever, lol. I have a list of names to pick from, I can't decide which I like for the first playthrough, so here's the list:
Lyra
Soryn
Nuri
Tamriel
I suspect I'll probably go with Lyra first, unless I can find some drastically better names (I'm crap at coming up with serious names). As for personality, since my first playthrough is a self insert I guess she'll be as close to my personality as possible... which is probably not much since I doubt the Inquisitor will be able to swear every other word or make an arse of herself frequently, but I we'll see. I know I have a short temper, so I'll be able to have random bursts of anger during certain situations I guess. Definitely pro-mage, definitely wants to romance Cullen but will likely find all her companions attractive (knowing me!)
As I said above, physically she'll look like me... only better cos it's a fantasy game so why the hell not! Her hair colour will be whatever colour my hair will be at the time, possibly ginger/red if it doesn't go horribly wrong when I dye it in real life next week, LOL!

I feel that from August on they're really going to try and ADVERTISE. Because the game is about to come out.

I wonder if the Dalish mage might get access to a Keeper tree...

Indeed. They said that they're going to be doing different gameplay videos soon, as well as possibly some for the different specializations. I think we will get one or two of those before Gamescom. After that and PAX Prime, it'll be heavy info time.
However, if there is a leak, I'm gettin' the hell out of dodge.
I have to say that I've been getting the itch to write down all I know and remember for my hawkes and wardens. Yes multiples. I have a variety of mix and match sets lol. Maybe that's what I'll do this lazy afternoon.
My first Inquisitor is going to have a friendly, goofy attitude, certainly not leader like, which will make it fun I think!
What I wonder though, is what if we can't have our Inquisitor behave goofy? I mean, I know when it comes to Alix Wilton Regan she can nail that type of characteristic easily (like she did with Traynor) but what if that's not an option in DAI? At least, not frequently?
That's why I'm kinda up in the air about what my first Inquisitor will be like, simply because I'm really not sure I can create my personality with the options available until I play the game.

Aww, that's really sweet ![]()
My dad was the one that got me started on video games, back when all we had was some barely working console I can't for the life of me remember the name of. He wasn't a very hardcore gamer so when I moved on to things like Nintendo 64 that he couldn't keep up with, he would just watch and encourage me. I always tell myself that when I decide to have kids (not anytime soon though!) and they start to show an interest in video games, I'm gonna make them start with games like Zelda: Orcarina of Time and Banjo Kazooie so they start with the good stuff!
I've been playing Banjo recently on xbox arcade and it still just gives me such warm fuzzies.

I wonder if the Dalish mage might get access to a Keeper tree...
Technically I should be a rogue given my real life lock picking skills, ability to disappear quickly when needed and escape from locked room via windows and stuff, but yeah she'll be a mage just because I'm curious to see how a mage is treated and I wanna know how Cullen will react to romancing one.

If there's a leak, I'm popping popcorn. Though i'm not going to take it as seriously as the ME3 one.
If there aren't any options I'll just pretend lol. It's a hope I have but if it doesn't work out ahh well. What I wonder though, is what if we can't have our Inquisitor behave goofy? Is it silly that my number one questions right now are "What exactly are a Tempest and Rift Mage?"
1:44 in the Video, I believe we see the Tempest
Okay, Julian's a rogue now. That looks really cool.1:44 in the Video, I believe we see the Tempest

My dad was the person who got me into video games as well. I remember him getting me and my sister Heroes Might and Magic 3, Age of Empires 2, Sims 1, some old Pokemons and Final Fantasies. I think me game taste still has lot of do with these, I love more historical, fantasy and strategy games instead of FPS's and real time battle ![]()
Sadly my father isn't gamer anymore, he just plays some mobile and facebook games these days XD I have tried to get him play some Skyrim and Mass Effect with my PS3 but he's just complains how hard english is ^^;

I love all the Inquisitors and ideas people have posted!
And I think I've posted my male human rogue idea enough-- even if he keeps changing a little bit/developing personality wise on me. ![]()
I really need to get to work on other Quizzy ideas, but he's stuck in my head most for some reason.
Have these abilities been required often?
At work? Frequently!
