All I need is the spell trees for my Inquisitor, what CC looks like, specializations, and when I pick up companions, so I don't miss them. I want to avoid plot details like the plague.

CC would be nice, just so that we can get a rough idea of what we can do in it. I wanna be able to make a character that looks as unique as the companions and advisors do, which is something that we haven't been able to do all that well in the DA (or the ME) games in the past without mods.

Posting mine under spoilers since discussion has moved on (and I have a LOT of characters)

I have a worldstate for each class, so the Warden, Hawke, and the Inquisitor are all the same class but differ in gender, race, and specializations... except for my mage worldstate, where all of them are female humans.

 

Mage worldstate: Female Amell > Female Mage Hawke > Female Mage Trevelyan

 

Amell could be 18 at the start of Dragon Age: Origins. I intended for her to start off naive and sheltered. She was Irving's apprentice and he doted on her like a father. She was also very talented, which garnered her a lot of admiration... as well as envy. She's oblivious to Cullen's feelings for her, despite all the gossip, but she treats him just as kindly as anyone else. She's a practicing Andrastian, and looks on magic as a gift from the Maker that should be used to help others. As such, she specializes in Creation and Spirit magic that heals and protects others and enhances their abilities. In the beginning she's an idealist who always wants to see the best in others... but her experiences over the course of the Fifth Blight harden her personality and make her more cunning.

She betrays Jowan to Irving when pressed, but feels terribly guilty and confesses to Jowan after he destroys his phylactery. Following Ostagar, she returns to the Circle after hearing grave rumors in Lothering that the templars have called for the Rite of Anullment. She convinces Greaigor to give her a chance to find Irving, and joins forces with Wynne to save Irving and the surviving mages. At Redcliffe, she saves everyone in the village, and asks the Circle to perform the ritual that will save Connor. She sends Jowan into the Fade to deal with the demon to redeem himself for what he's done. She convinces Zathrian to end his curse on the werewolves, helps Harrowmont claim the throne of Orzammar, and destroys the Anvil of the Void. She's good friends with both Leliana and Morrigan, and romances Alistair, whom she supports as King at the Landsmeet - staying at his side as his mistress. She reluctantly agrees to Morrigan's ritual to save the life of the man she loves and her country's King, and following the Archdemon's defeat, she is named Chancellor and remains in Denerim to advise Alistair.

Because Alistair is King, however, she is called upon to travel to Vigil's Keep in Amaranthine and assist with the rebuilding of Ferelden's Wardens. It's not her first choice, but she understands that as a Grey Warden and the Hero of Ferelden, it's her duty. She recruits all possible Wardens (except Oghren... I just really don't like Oghren...) and is well-loved by all of them. She chooses to stay and defend Amaranthine during the dual-attack on the city and the Keep, and both hold. She agrees to listen to the Architect, but refuses to help him and slays him alongside the Mother.

Later, she returns to the Dragonbone Wastes in pursuit of Morrigan, hoping to see her old friend one more time. She inquires about the health of Morrigan's son, and is glad to see that Morrigan is safe. Morrigan leaves a gift for her before she leaves through the Eluvian (headcanon time... Amell was always jealous that Morrigan was able to have Alistair's child and she was not, so Morrigan left her an altered version of the Dark Ritual that will allow her and Alistair to conceive a child despite being Grey Wardens)

 

Hawke has lived her whole life as an apostate, and her father taught her to do anything necessary to survive. She has a fierce temper, and is quick to turn to violence. She hates the Chantry and the templars who hunt and oppress mages, and eagerly fights against them given the chance. She has an intense rivalry with her younger brother, Carver, who eventually joins the templars in part to spite her. Her only friendships in Kirkwall are with her lover, Anders, and Merrill, whose efforts to rebuild the Eluvian she supports - even if it involves blood magic. She is not on good terms with her other companions: her sense of vigilantism and "ends justify the means" approach chafes with Aveline, whom she does not help woo Donnic; she takes advantage of Fenris and sleeps with him, but later turns him over to his former master, Danarius; she cares little for Isabela's search, leading the pirate to leave Kirkwall for good with the relic; she presses Varric to kill Bartrand and then lets him keep the red lyrium shard recovered from Bartrand's haunted estate. She defends Merrill from the rest of her clan, slaughtering them in the process, and encourages Merrill to continue her studies into ancient elven history. She also aids Anders in his efforts to separate himself from Justice, though she feels that having a spirit on their side would aid the mages' cause. When Anders' true agenda is revealed, Hawke supports him wholeheartedly, only regretting that he did not trust her enough to share it with her. They carve a bloody swathe through the Gallows and escape Kirkwall, perhaps fleeing across the Waking Sea to Ferelden to aid the mages there...?

 

Trevelyan will have been an enchanter/senior enchanter in one of the Circles of Magi who managed to escape the slaughter of the Circles after Lord Seeker Lambert revoked the Nevarran Accord. Presumably, she will be present at the Shrine of Sacred Ashes as part of the peace conference between the mages and the Chantry. Where Amell and Hawke represent extremes of views towards mages and magic, Trevelyan will be in between - an Aequitarian who supports reform, but not removal, of the Circles. She will be more experienced and mature than Amell (30-32 years old) but will share Amell's compassion and kindness, and will desire to help others whenever possible. Hopefully, she will get along with most of her companions in the Inquisition; Cassandra and Vivienne will likely be staples in her party. Her personally will also hopefully endear her to Cullen, whom I'd like her to romance.

 

Phew, that was a lot to type! I might add my Rogue and Warrior characters at a later date!

Same, I kinda would like an earring option in CC. Nothing fancy, but a few basic ones would be great! Kingdoms of Amalur did it really well, and you could still see the earrings during cutscenes.

That would be cool. Having jewelry show on the character would be awesome too. It's a shame about the lack of freckles, although I know Mark Darrah said they they might be on some of the presets, so in theory surely we could just take that preset with it's freckled skin tone and then just change all the facial features to suit, right?

Human and elf females get Cullen at least first time round. My Qunari gets Iron Bull and I am hoping Varric is a LI for my dwarf if not she will ride the bull! fun fun lol

I plan at least 2 runs for Dorian and Sera. (Sera might take me a while though cause you know...Cullen )

 

I am hoping the human mage is from Kirkwall, if so I will play that first. Cause I would love to see the dynamics between her and Cullen. Probably wont happen but I can hope. She will be a bit of a neutral in that she would like mages to have their freedom but accepts it will never happen, so she would have strived for fairer treatment in the circle, but she would have abided by its rules. Therefore not gaining an ire from Cullen but she may have had a few dealings with him. Outside the circle she will fight for other peoples rights and do what she feels is fair.

I'm in two minds about wanting the human mage to be from Kirkwall. On the one hand it would be pretty amusing and we could head canon that she'd (or he) been admiring him from afar for years.

 

But on the other hand, I think my me!Inquisitor (if I play a human mage) would be kinda offended that he showed no interest in her prior to DAI and would automatically assume that he's only showing interest now because she's in a position of power. It's that whole "if I wasn't good enough for you then, then you can ****** off if you think you're having me now" situation (even though that wouldn't be the case, but I know how I think and what I'm like lol!) Plus, knowing that he had a thing for my Amell would make me/her feel like he's just settling for second best (even though, again, that wouldn't be the case). So I think, if the human mage is from Kirkwall then I just wouldn't play as her for my first playthrough, or I wouldn't romance Cullen for my first playthrough (which I promised myself I would)... I could just not play as myself for the first game, but it's a tradition I like to keep.

Soooo, um... has anyone else noticed that James Norton (Cole's VO) kinda looks like Cullen's new DAI model? I mean seriously, just sweep his hair back, dye his whole head of hair blonde and given him amber contact lenses and he could pull it off... hell, even his nose, the furrowed brow, his stubble and jawline are similar! This pleases me.

Personally, I can't see any resemblance between James Norton and Cullen but Norton does look like a younger version of Simon Baker., especially on the first picture.

I seriously hope not. Freckles are cute and I can't play with presets no matter how great they look. They aren't my characters : /

I really liked that you could see the jewellery in Skyrim.

I'd love to be able to have beauty marks too, especially if you can adjust the size and area of the face where it's situated... although I suspect that'd hoping for a bit much lol.

It all depends on where the PC is from. There is a Circle within pretty much each of the major Marcher territories. So any of the five Marcher Circles are fair game.

Yeah, I'd rather be from a new Circle, one that we haven't seen.

I'm hoping a mage Inquisitor is from the Montsimmard Circle, where Vivienne is from, rather than from Kirkwall.

 

Considering most of the mages in Kirkwall were insane blood mages, I don't especially want to play as one who hails from there...

Agreed, it would feel a bit weird. Especially if, for example, your protagonist was part of the Kirkwall circle and he/she rebelled if you (when playing as him/her) would have wanted them to stay and be pro-circle or visa versa. Plus, if they wanted us to see the more moderate side to both mages and templars then having the Inquisitor be from the Gallows is automatically gonna colour the players perception of how we go about treating Cullen, mages, and templars in DAI, moderate or not.
