I tried to make my Trevelyan in the EVA CC. You guys can see her here.

 

Haven't decided on a name. Maybe Ariana? Or Reina? I usually suck at CCs but I think she turned out OK.

Very nice! She looks more like a Reina to me.

 

That would be interesting. Do you think if he does, that would effect their relationship/interaction?

I would think he would know of her at least by being with the warden during the last blight.

I haven't even thought about that. I think it would make a great conflict if Cullen feels a bit uncomfortable around Leliana at first. But I also think that he will deal with it quickly because there are more important matters to take care of.

 

I'm not sure how much insight Cullen really has regarding the Warden's companions. There was a lot of chaos in the tower after Uldred's rebellion. Cullen had probably other things on his mind than the Warden's travel companions .

 

 

I think that they'll recognize Leliana's presence (probably Morrigan too when they'll meet) in the tower regardless if they were or not in the party. Though the keep beta testers might have more info on the subject .

Morrigan will definitely recognize Leliana should they meet. I can literally see her reaction: Morrigan: Oh no, not her again!

 

I'm not sure about Cullen. If Leliana wasn't in the party during the Broken Circle quest they never met. Even if Leliana was in the party he might not remember her at all. First of all, so many years have past since then. Secondly, Cullen was a bit "distracted" because he was tortured. But I cross my fingers that it is somehow acknowledged if they have met before.

 

You also gave me one more reason to come up with a clever plan how to smuggle myself into beta tests  .

Amusingly, the server it tries to connect you to is called "tranquility" LOL! But yeah, I dunno if it's down to my internet or if the servers are just borked.

Maybe after you can get into CC and make her you'll be able to decide.

Sometimes I think I'm going to call a character something and then find once I've got her looking the way I want, the name doesn't fit.

So maybe you'll find she'll fit more of one name than the other...?

 

But my 2 cents is really depends on how you play her, if snarky I'd go with Lilah, goofy/easy going I'd go with Lyra.

I could imagine Leliana and Cullen getting into heated debates, especially now that Leliana has really toughened up. But, as you said, I don't see them arguing or being needlessly rude to each other. I suspect most disagreements will be work related.
 
That being said, I could see Leliana maybe telling Cullen/Josephine not to get too attached to the Inquisitor due to the nature of the job (if you're pursuing a romance with them) in a similar way to what Wynne did in DA:O, especially if your Warden died killing the archdemon and Leliana was romancing him/her at the time. I can't picture what Josephine's response would be (maybe a strongly worded letter, LOL!) But I could imagine Cullen being a bit up-tight and sharp in his response, knowing that the threat of the relationship going to hell or the Inquisitor/him getting killed is all to real, but not wanting to think about it.

I think it's a possible scenario.

You can always use a variant of your name,I usually do that for self-insert playthroughs.
Although, Lyra is a beautiful name.

lol I actually named one of my Sheps Lola and freaked out when he called me it, it was like oh cool name recognition.

I did it in DA2 as well, I called one of my rogue Hawkes Amelia, she was very anti mage by the end and had the talk with Meredith and she told me about her sister, I'd never had that talk before and when she called her sister Amelia it blew me away. I thought wow really laying the sympathy on thick there woman

Personally,I'd prefer it if that was indeed the case.I usually headcanon that all the companions are with the warden/Hawke,during a quest.
Having,only three of them in your party is simply gameplay limitation.

Out of those two, I prefer Lyra. You get the song and everything after all. But I've always preferred the 'Liala' spelling of Lilah. Had a friend called that once.

Man I really wish they would release a CC for DAI! Remind me again what is the downside of releasing one? I get why they don't release a demo due to backlash/sales concerns, but can a CC really negatively affect sales so much? Am I missing something?

I hope this is the case. Only having three of your traveling companions with you at a time should be a concession to game mechanics. I replayed Origins recently and actually struggled with who to bring during the Broken Circle quest because I was thinking about how both Morrigan and Leliana might meet Cullen again in Inquisition.

If you romanced Alistair in DAO and talked him into having a threesome with Isabela, he will react diifferently when he talks to Isabela again in DA 2 during his short cameo. So, the game actually acknowledges what happened. I'm not sure what Alistair's reaction is If you don't drag him along to The Pearl and he never meets Isabela. I *believe* he doesn't recognise her in DA2.  The same applies to Leliana. If she has never been to The Pearl, I don't think she recognises Isabela in DA 2. Judged by this, I think Cullen will only recognise someone who was a party member during the Broken Circle quest. In my opinion it makes more sense this way, to look at it from narrative point of view (as in: what kind of information does this character possibly have?). So, personally, I don't think that it's a question of gameplay mechanic. I could be wrong though.

We spent five years on EVE from vanilla. Have a lot of fond memories and met a lot of great people. Started out running a Corp. Then when Aliiances were brought in we joined up with a bunch of other Corps to form an Alliance and take over a section of 0.0 space. Got into a protracted 'land'  war with 2 other Alliances. It was a huge amount of fun but it is an....intense mmo and we burned out on it. A lot of people we knew did. I've dipped back in a few times since then but short of mining a couple of roids haven't had any desire to go back properly.

Been trying to catch up this morning in a Percocet induced state, and nothing makes sense to me!  Im like this is English I know it is, no one speaks Russian on the BSN (writes I mean...)  Errr, sorry to any cyrillic users....

And then my mind was doing tangents right in here (so i deleted them).

 

I was about to send my very first blog post over to my editor, when coming down the stairs I tripped and fell, and I was in the hospital, which wasnt too bad, because hey now it doesn't hurt too much.  They were all like, "You must be very talented to cause that much damage down a half flight of stairs", and I was all "But aren't I lucky to be alive?!".  Anyhow (snerk) I separated my shoulder, cracked my elbow and wrist, and twisted my knee.  And I got my second black eye in my life!

 

Anyhow, since I cant read English, I decided to hold off on my blog post for a couple of days (laughing maniacally).  It does give me a chance to ask Eric and Lola if I can link to their YouTube channels/videos with credit and not being a jackass and stuff  You can PM yay or nay if you get this, if not Ill send you a pm when Im doing the "Visit the really cool people here for more DA:I info".  I have alot of games to go through though.

 

Probably because of the meds (or maybe not, Im kind of a strangeling), I always think about what life would be like in certain games.  Not as the hero, Im not the type ya see, but maybe if I was Josephine in Inquisition, or Chie in Persona 4... I have these huge scenarios that I've been writing, and I was all Oh hey!  Trade advisor and Military advisor work closely together!  I could do that!  And then self insert later...  (wiggles eyebrows).  I was fortunant that I could pen and paper (literally typing is taking forever, so im getting one huge post out of the way and then Ill jsut read for the rest of the day). 

 

Soooo, I guess a last request, would it be possible to have people pm their fanfictions so I have things to read today?    Pleeeeeaaassssseeee???   (hugs muches to all)...  I hope that is everything because typing is a b-word!
