Jesus, this Big Bad has it all figured out. But I wonder how it knew just what to do to bring down the Veil as a whole. They must have an incredible amount of information under their belt.
 
Nonetheless, I think that the endgame boss of DAI isn't the overarching "Big Bad" of the series. The one we face at the end of this game is probably but a pawn of the entity/entities that Flemeth is fighting.

TBH, given that they've been building this story since DAO, I'm hoping this big bad is epic and utterly, selfishly destroying the world for his/her own purposes, not as someone else's pawn. It just feel like, I dunno, not as earth shaking to me if yet another someone else is pulling the strings. Although I would love for Flemeth to have some big role in managing the mischief somehow.

At the end of the day, I just want to know what the hell the Veil has been imprisoning for so damn long. Even if the Big Bad is defeated in DAI, I want the Black City arc to be explored much more.

Chest hair. The Veil has been imprisoning chest hair, and Varric is the catalyst.

Big bad will bring this world to end so that cycle can continue. Inquisitor can decide of between red, green and blue ending, does they want to destroy big bad but also all of fade with it (and magic with it)? Will they chose to only end kill big bad though this will lead to world to be destroyed and cycle to continue? Tune in to Mass.. Dragon Age Inquisition to find out!

Either the Big Bad is what the Veil has been imprisoning, and it's agents have been trying to free it or the Big Bad is merely trying to free something imprisoned behind the Veil.

Good point. Perhaps the Big Bad isn't necessarily killed. Maybe we fight something that it lets loose and the BB escapes to fight again another day. I kinda don't want such a clearly powerful enemy to only get one game.

Gah!! That's what made me ragequit Wizardry 7... knowing that the Big Bad gets away. (Although, what a hook for Wizardry 8). After all the work to get to him, it just seemed pointless. As a result, I've never finished Wizardry 7. If DAI ends that way, well, I guess I'll just have to see how they handle it.

I think it's fine if our ass gets kicked early on. After all, failing a trial is part of the Hero's Journey, and we need some time to achieve Grandmaster Level of Badassery before we face them a final time. I just hope the Big Bad hisses at us, "But you are no Jedi yet!"

According to the leak, which has been accurate thusfar.

The big bad is enciting war in Orlais so that and that they caused the breach in order to get god like powers. S/he is also tragetting the inquisitor for the glowy hand.

These are just paraphrased and it's been awhile since I've read it.
