Cullen has to wear it. He can't let our entire army be distracted by his overwhelming sexiness. Our soldiers wouldn't be able to fight if they could see his face, "Oooooh, General Cullen! Oooooh, where did my pants go? And my armor? Oooooh, hot!"
It's enough that a half of our soldiers will be crushing on him anyway Without even seeing his face. Because that booty, that voice, and the fact that generals are always hot, regardless of how they look.

God, and I bet that the Chantry is gonna want to put some old conservative crone on the throne, which is gonna severely limit what support the give.

Plus, I think the reason we're not affiliated with the Chantry is because they're off infighting over who they want as the new Divine.

Yes, I think this has to be the reason for MDarrah's tap dancing around our lack of Chantry affiliation. I had always figured it was a difference of opinion in how to deal with the Breach threat, and the Inquisition just says, "Fine, we'll deal with it our own way. As we see fit."

^Lol, if we divorce them early in the game, I'd imagine it's Cass that says screw you to the bickering Chantry.

If I'm understanding the lore correctly, the first Inquisition happened before the founding of the Chantry. The Chantry was formed as a result. So perhaps the thinking is after, or possibly during, this Inquisition, the Chantry will be restored.

Perhaps. But I think the Chantry will never be the same after this. Something has got to change. The Circles, Templars, and Seekers will have to change.

There is actually a book in Witch Hunt you can read while searching for elven translations about the Inquisition. I think R2 read from it in the Dragon Age challenge she's doing on tumblr.

What I was thinking of is there IS a book in Witch Hunt that talks about the Inquisition symbol without actually telling us what it is. Shows how long BioWare has been working on this game.

LOL Yeah, my passage was just as recent as good ole Genetivi. But Witch Hunt does reference mages cowering before a black sun standard. It also mentions the Seekers of Truth.
