also regarding the talent trees we only get to choose one and thats it? Like if i choose the fire ability thats the only powers i will have and nothing else? If so.. thats kinda..... not cool...

I have this whole very involved "canon" I want to import for my first world state. But to answer your question, I'll be siding with the mages. My "canon" Hawke is a mage who had a bit of a savior complex regarding Anders, and I'm curious to see how her choices affect Thedas.

I can't really justify siding with the templars either (though I do enjoy the extra content we get if we do)--no way am I going to punish the majority for a singular minority act so I think I will side with the mages. Though I have never let Anders live either. I guess in my head siding with the mages but killing Anders is the only way I can get some middle ground in the DA:2 ending.
that's what ive ended up doing. i usually end up killing anders now...even if he's my lover. and siding w/mages.

No, you can pick and choose any and all of the spells.

We can only choose on specialisation. Which I personally prefer. It probably means the specialisations are more developed... and hey! It'll apparently come up in story! (Some more than others, obviously. I'm expecting Templar and Necromancer to get a lot of side-eyeing. And maybe the Tempest Rogue? I would hope Rogue's have at least one specialisation that can be as much of a 'thing' in plot as Templar and Necromancer.)

Sweet baby Jesus thank God !!! I was a lil bit worried there that we would get to have only one ability.. I was like.. umm.. well all of these abilities look cool it would be sad if I only get to pick 1 and thats it for the whole game

Yeah, I'm surprised at that too! Maybe they dropped it because a Bard means more than just songs lore wise? Maybe they'll make 'Bard' an actual character background in a future game?
