I'm so happy someone taped this.
LOL, you're totally not paying any attention to the demo itself, are you!

Mind you, Mike Laidlaw also said that freckles were in and then Mark Darrah said they weren't so ML retracted the statement. Maybe they are but they're having a few problems with them, thus not directly confirming either way until they know for sure whether it'll make it into the CC or not?
Maybe with this extra month they'll add them in? Mind you, with presets in the previous games you could pick one and adapt his/her face to suit, so in theory maybe we will be able to have freckles but we'd lose them if we changed the skin tone/texture?

I don't know what you mean, Lola!

Whoa!Dual dagger rogue looks awesome! Not to mention that male quizie's voice is like butter.Throwing daggers confirmed!
If we do get them on some of the presets then I think that will probably be the case. I'm all good with that prospect
Ideally (though unlikely) I'd like to be able to control how many and how prominent the freckles are. Like, maybe there would be several levels of freckles ranging from all over the face, to just across the nose etc. Then you could control the intensity of the freckles so that they look very noticeable to only lightly covered. Like, in the summer my freckles look more prominent than in the winter depending on how much of a tan I've got... which is weird because you'd think it would be the opposite.
Whoa!Rogues dual dagger rogue looks awesome! Not to mention that male quizie's voice is like butter.
Ikr? It was so delightful to see the rogue Inquisitor in action. THROWING DAGGERS OMG! Have I mentioned I like playing as a rogue?
Thanks, Lola, for making me laugh like a lunatic!!!
*Takes a bow*
Also,that German lady sounds awesome!
I love the way the neckline of lady Couteau's dress, looks.
Hoping my quizies will get to wear fancy clothes,as well .
I'm hoping we'll be able to pick and customise our outfit when we have to go to the ball. This is the sort of thing I'd like to see:
Picture the scene, the Inquisitor is on his/her throne dealing with various matters when Vivienne enters the room:
Vivienne: "Inquisitor/*Insert Surname*, I've taken the liberty of sending for the finest dress maker/tailor in Thedas. When you're ready speak with him/her in the *insert room*" (maybe insert a few snarky digs about the Inquisitor's usual choice of attire.)
When we approach the dress maker/tailor he/she fusses around us sizing up our vital statistics, muttering on about colours matching your eyes/hair/frame etc and tells us that he's/she's picked out the finest outfit templates for us to pick from. This would then open up the clothing and armor crafting/customisation area of our inventory with a vast array of different types of dresses/corsets/skirts/pant-suits/kilts/etc which we can pick and mix from as the base of our outfit, once our template is picked we can add or remove specific features, change the materials, colours, etc until we've created the outfit we want our Inquisitor to wear to the ball. All the while the dress maker/tailor is be making sarcastic comments as we customise:
"Oh, what an interesting choice."
"Well, I wouldn't have chosen THAT colour."
"Hm, not bad... I suppose."
"Lace? Ugh, that's so last year!"
"I've seen Chasind Wilder folk with more style."
And then maybe we'd have the option to say "surprise me" and the dress maker/tailor would put you in something really gaudy and ridiculous and then flap on about how fabulous you look, LOL!
![]()
*Edit* For some reason, I think the "surprise me" option would look even funnier on a Qunari protagonist, all I can imagine is this giant horned beast of a male/female festooned in ruffles and bows!
See, now I have this scene going through my head of the dress maker/tailor creating this ridiculous outfit for the Inquisitor that he/she has to try on, just as all of the companions and advisors walk into the room (for whatever reason), they take one look at the Inquisitor in this stupid outfit, still wearing his/her armored boots, and all try not to laugh/start sniggering then make their excuse to leave closing the door behind them. Laughter can be heard from outside halfway down the corridor.
... Someone turn that into a fanfic or piece of fanart!

Coming back to this... I think it's a fantastic idea to have the wardrobe customization to open like that. And the "surprise me" option would be great, especially if there was an honest to Maker random draw of 20 different outfits. You'd have a 50/50 shot at either something totally ridiculous or to be the bell of the ball - and then all the in between that would garner the snide comments or ooo's and ah's.
*Cullen comes out either very frilly or wearing an over the top massive cod piece* ![]()

I wonder if the companions that accompany us would also have to dress up? Or if we'd have to technically go in alone and have our companions sneak in (ala the MotA dlc). Ideally I'd want all 9 companions and 3 advisors to be in attendance in their best/stupidest outfits, or at least 3 companions of our choice and the 3 advisors would be there by default since they're the face of the Inquisition.
Didn't Cameron Lee or one of the other devs mention in an interview that Vivienne's introduction is via a party she holds for the Inquisition, which is (presumably) where she'd ask/we'd ask her to join our cause? In theory, if she's holding a party for the Inquisition then that would include all 3 advisors and any companions already recruited? In which case, they all should be in attendance at that one.
I do hope that the companions/advisors that wear really big heavy armor like Cullen and Blackwall at least have some sort of casual outfit. I mean, Cassandra and Iron Bull, despite being warriors, have a very light armored look to their outfits. Presumably we can strip down Blackwall's outfit anyway so that's not too much of a problem, but having romantic scenes with Cullen in his full get up is gonna look a bit strange, especially during kissing/hugging scenes where his big fluffy stole is gonna get in the way... that's some major clipping issues right there. Hell, imagine him in that torture scene instead of Leliana, It's gonna be fur everywhere distorting his face with his arms tied up like that! (Unless a different "bad" scene occurs depending on who you send in).

This issue worries me as well. I would feel ever so much better if I knew that our advisors had some sort of change of clothes. I don't even care if I'm in control of it or not. It would be nice if they just changed their clothes themselves according to where they are or what they happen to be doing at any given time. What are the chances any of the devs would answer such a question? Not likely, probably... ![]()
Thinking on it some more, I actually wonder if Vivienne's party happens fairly early on? Like, whilst Cassandra is still in-charge with the 3 advisors. So, Vivienne sends the invite and by that point as party members we'd only have Cassandra and Varric (because he's bound to be one of the first recruited since he was travelling with Cass) and by that point our protagonist is either still just Cassandra's little drag-around or newly "Inquisited??", we attend the party and Cass wants us/we can to try and recruit Vivi, doing so (should we wish) giving us our 3rd party member so that all our 3 slots are filled for when **** hits the fan, lol.
I mean, would Vivienne really invite the full party when the people she needs to get closest to would be (at that point) the 3 advisors and Cassandra/our protagonist (depending on whether we've been given the role of Inquisitor by that point).

Presumably the characters bodies each have their own separate file, right? Like, Cullen's helmet outfit is likely a completely different body/head setup to his non-helmet outfit body/head setup. In which case, they could just either make him a third casual outfit body/head setup, or if the body and head are separate files (like in DA:O and DA2) then just stick his head on one of the many casually clothed npc body files that they have available.
Mike Laidlaw did say when he was joking around on Twitter "revealing" Cullen spoilers that "Cullen sometimes wears armor". Now, whether that's just an obvious fact, or that in-game sometimes he doesn't wear armor is anyone's guess.
