She might get confused though. Templar? Check. Blond? Check. Cute? Check. Chivalrous? Check.
And Cullen has that spiffy helmet.
The lack of goofy humour would give it away, lol.

Cullen'll have to answer to Alistair if he tries going after my girl.
Oooo, I want him to talk about Meredith too!!!
YES! He needs to discuss Meredith. I agree with this so much. He needs to discuss the mistakes he made in Kirkwall. He's not a perfect character...he has flaws and it needs to be acknowledged.

Meredith is a must. Sometimes I'm afraid the writers will just say "here's your Cullen, tortured just enough to be be fashionable. Now swoon." without acknowledging that he made some very grave lapses in judgment. And I had something similar happen to me with ME, so I'm a bit wary.
THIS times a billion!!

I would love to hear a discussion of Meredith and overall a discussion of how he came into his own. I mean, it's a testament to his leadership skills as in both games, all we've seen him be is a follower until the very end of DA2. So, what's going to make him different from Meredith? How is he going to serve the interests of humanity as opposed to serving the 'Chantry and the Maker?' These things HAVE to be addressed because he is, ultimately, going to be the one in charge of our entire military force and the one with whom a lot of our advise is going to come from.

There's a high chance that's it's not public knowledge what happened to Meredith. The Inquisitor would need to hear Cullen's account of the situation to ensure that he can definitely be trusted as our military advisor and isn't suffering any effects from his time in Kirkwall. I mean, she/he isn't gonna know that Cullen won't try to usurp her/him, regardless of whether Cassandra feels he's trustworthy. We as the player know what went down, but our Inquisitor doesn't, so that whole Meredith/Kirkwall thing definitely requires a lengthly discussion.

And speaking of which, I wonder if Cullen was one of Varric's drinking buddies in the templars. *strokes chin*
Not to mention...we'd need to know that he isn't especially sympathetic to the Templar cause and doing some sketchy stuff behind our backs. After all, the least we have to go on is Varric's story, but even that doesn't show much if the 'behind closed doors' arguments and the like. We'd have to hear it from Cullen's perspective. Especially with how he came to realize (and he had to have realized it) that Meredith was going crazy and yes, she was taking red lyrium. Otherwise, the player would think that he just thought she was on her period that day or something.

I absolutely second this!
A character without mistakes,faults,and negative traits isn't a character!It's a mary-sue/gary-stu...

For all we know she could've been taking red lyrium as well, which is why we'd have to inquire about it from Cullen. We can only just assume most of these things because we have Varric's stories to go by. Perhaps Cullen can add more to the picture. No doubt the idol also made her crazy, but then we could hear tales from Cullen about just the extent of which it did as opposed to a one off "Rage Quit!"Well, she wasn't huffing the stuff but the red Lyrium idol she turned into a sword obviously effected her. Which is another reason to talk to Cullen, he was around her and that idol sword for years so we'd need to check that he wasn't hearing voices and stuff either.

Thats a good point. I'd like to know what they did with the big Giant statue. You think they would lock that up in a vault.

Suppose they find a journal that belonged to Meredith...where she discusses using Red Lyrium?

Sorry just edited my post but, we need to know we can trust Cullen because Cullen needs to have been the one to realize that there was some shady stuff going on to cause him to finally leave and join up with the inquisition. Also, to have him turn on his superior like that...Suppose they find a journal that belonged to Meredith...where she discusses using Red Lyrium?
I think the Chantry took it and placed it somewhere they could study it. Perhaps Therinfal Redoubt or another Seeker stronghold.Thats a good point. I'd like to know what they did with the big Giant statue. You think they would lock that up in a vault.

Edit: I mean he has to have come to realize she ACTUALLY went crazy and that there is some serious corruption going on in the order to make him leave it and join the inquisition
I don't think she was ingesting it, otherwise we would have a Behemoth running around.
