One Piece talk? My favs at the moment are Law and Tashigi. From Straw Hats Zoro :P

Cullen in DAI sounds great :) I'd want him to be well less oblivious and more snarky at times than he previously was. Maybe more confident? Not too far from Cullen we had previously though, but some character deveploment is welcomed!

The thought of him actually displaying some wit and seeing him outside of the usual Templar/Soldier role is very intriguing to me! GE is the master of witty one liners so it's nice to hear that his writing displays some of those traits.

Ohh, that would be cool! How intriguing! :o I'd love to read that!

NZ spelling shouldn't be too different, right? I'm from Canada, so wouldn't we both be following the British method in any case? I think it's only the Americans that drop their "u"'s from everything. Silly. It's "colour" with a "u", dammit!

But there weren't any spelling mistakes that I could see, I'm mostly unsure about the way you had Cullen refer to the desire demon in his head. The "its" and "things" parts, specifically. I know the way you used "its" is right, but I'm not sure if "things" is. My first instinct is that it should be "thing's" rather than "things" because you're talking in the possessive and not the plural, but I'm not sure as I'm a little rusty.

Canada does it the British way? Yes! Well now that you point it out, yes, you are right! Hahaha, I can't believe I have gone so long without someone editing my works. ^_^

It's definitely one of my favourite Cullen pictures. That said, I don't think I've actually seen a picture of Cullen that I didn't like. So :S

I'm having silly thoughts about his hair right now (silly thoughts in general, but that's because it's 6 in the morning :S), because game engine limitations aside, do you think Cullen gets helmet hair, or is the swept back wavy look he has going for him a result of him... uh. Sweeping it back after taking off his helmet to avoid said helmet hair, and his hair is actually still fairly curly?

I've been thinking about helmet hair off an on lately, because I realized that my boyfriend is going to have it when he wears the Cullen cosplay, and I've been trying to think of ways to combat that.

And now I'm getting silly thoughts along the lines of Barney Stinson from HIMYM, in that Barney almost never has a bad picture ever, so maybe Cullen's hair is just naturally inclined to staying perfect despite helmet-yness. And now I'm not making sense. :S Sleep time I think.

That's how I've always seen it too. I mean, essentially Meredith gave Cullen a second chance at being a templar and once he got there he rose through the ranks quickly, which is more than he would have got if he'd stayed in Ferelden regardless of whether his torture had happened or not. I think he definitely had a lot of respect for her, especially since she understood and had first hand experience of the hell those blood mages and demons put him through... perhaps it made him feel a little less alone in his plight? I doubt he even realised that the reason he was promoted so quickly was due in part to Meredith seeking to use him as a means to crack down even harder on mages in Kirkwall, she basically wanted to shape him into her protege.

Overall, I think he felt he was kinda in debt to her and as such wanted to trust that she was doing the right thing and remain loyal to her, even when rumours started flying around that she was mad he stood by her to a fault. Deep down he knew it to be true, he makes that crystal clear throughout the game when he starts to openly voice his concerns to Hawke but due to his past and the promise he made to himself never to question the Order again he pushed those doubts to the back of his mind and continued to support and remain devoted to her against his better judgement, it wasn't until those final scenes where he couldn't deny or ignore Meredith's corruption any further that he finally took action.

... It must have been a really hard thing for him to come to terms with, especially after they'd slain Meredith and Cullen was left to restore some semblance of order. It's really no wonder that he's still processing the whole Kirkwall/Templar Order situation in DAI, that's over half his life gone down the sh!tter right there. I'm fully expecting him to go into details about why he's taking his role within the Inquisition so seriously, sounds like there could still be some angst there.

I would love to see this back up on him. Like perhaps he has trouble trusting his superiors now? Hmmm... interesting. Like he has a difference of opinion with the inquisitor that brings back all the Meredith stuff. And something like, he has a hard time backing down as a result.

Well my partner has pretty curly hair and he wears hats/beanie's all day and the result is his hair becomes more wavy rather than curly, so if you wanted to head cannon that, go ahead. ;)

Edit: he also has a tendency to run his hand through it a lot so that probably contributes to separating the curls as well.

That would certainly be interesting! I mean, I think I'd get a bit annoyed if he was going to be mistrusting through 70% of the game, but perhaps surrounding any Templar/red lyrium related stuff he'd be super adamant to the point of really stressing out about it and our Inquisitor would have a word with him in private to ask what was going on and he'd explain why he freaked out.

Hell, I can't imagine he'd be too pleased if we brought red lyrium back to the Skyhold with us like Dorian asks us to, I'd love to see Cullen freak out (especially if we're pursuing a relationship with him) and be like "that stuff is dangerous, I couldn't stand to see you go down the same route as Meredith and the others" etc.

It could even be our entree into hearing what happened with Meredith. You pull him aside for a Come To Andraste Talk and he fesses up. A heart option pops up, giving you a chance to comfort him and earn some points. Hmmm

I wonder if Cullen does lose his temper in the game at all? Like, not just with the Inquisitor if he/she is rude or needlessly harsh but in terms of some quests he can attend? Kinda like we see in DA2 with Wilmod where he's proper BAMF.

... Not gonna lie, part of me wants to send Cullen into that Redcliff castle quest unprepared just to see what his reaction is like to the Inquisitor when she comes to his rescue if the Inquisitor is persuing a relationship with him, lol.

Speaking of which, it would be nice for our Inquisitor to show some signs of distress or weakness when **** hits the fan. Like, when the big bad attacks our Skyhold, there's bound to be some degree of loss even if all our companions, advisors and main npcs survive. I'd like to see our character have the option to voice how he/she feels like we failed or let the team down, like we could have done more, etc and for the LI and companions to show concern and try to comfort us.

I really liked that aspect to ME3 with Shepard's nightmares and weary pissed off attitude after Kai Lang nearly got them all killed etc.

There is something really sexy about a guy losing his temper on something he's passionate about. Not in a "throwing chairs" way but... ya, like the Wilmod incident.

I'd hate to send him into Redcliffe to be tortured!  :crying:

But I'm gonna do it for the same reasons you are, Lola.

honestly I hope he has a temper. I think what we've seen so far it's just the diplomatic side of Cullen. Talking about what "they say" and "that's the popular school of thought" instead of what he thinks. But I always imagine he has a harder side. Hope we see something like that.

In fact we have seen his temper. Like when he blows up at Hawke for suggesting she doesn't care about the mage Templer debate in act one. I love that scene!

Or when he gets ready to throw down with aggressive Hawke during the Bethany scene after the deep Roads. Yum.

Ya, I'm not interested in hearing what "they" say from him. I want him to finally give his advice and opinions.

I've never been able to complete an aggressive Hawke play. There's always a point I get to where it's like "Tsk! I can't do/say that. It's mean, unnecessary and won't solve the problem." LOL

He's definitely got a hot headed side, but yeah I'd love to see him do it in defense of the Inquisitor. Like, maybe when we encounter the rebel Templars they give him a bit of sh!t for staying loyal to the Divine instead of rebelling with them, perhaps the leader makes some sort of backhanded comment about the Divine's death and give him sh!t for following the Orders of a "Knife ear"/"Horned barbarian"/"Fraud"/*Insert race/class/background appropriate insult* and then Cullen just knocks the f*cker out in one punch.

I can't either, but I choose the aggressive option during that scene cuz Serenity Hawke was PISSED.

I really hope that we don't have to tell the advisers what to do and they can make a lot of decisions on their own. Well, I mostly feel this way for Cullen. I think it would be extremely hot if he is like, persuasive and offers his own solutions/opinions. (I'm kind of sick of these guys lately who can't make definitive statements or even a simple decision on their own) But yes, I hope Cullen has a chance to make impulse decisions (like punching someone in the face)

*edit: i havent slept in so long I hope this paragraph makes sense lol * zzz

A bit off topic.. I can't remember who it was, but someone in here was saying their order for the DA playing cards was canceled by Amazon and they weren't too pleased. I just saw the playing cards (and everything else DA-related, apparently) are on sale at Things From Another World. Playing Cards

Look for links to Things From Another World on this page. Even the Flemeth statue is on sale, and the mini-figures they just came out with, and the pre-order for the art book... lots!!
