I am so interested in Solas it's not funny. And Dorian and Cole and Sera and The Iron Bull and...Maker, it's gonna be hard to pick a group. :)

I think if I made a list of characters I'm interested in and most excited for, I'd have two pretty different lists. Blackwall'd be at the top of my interested in list, since we know precious little about the guy. At least the magazine pretty much confirmed my hopes for a Giles.

I'm most excited  for Josephine and Dorian, with Blackwall following close behind, Cullen's in this weird place where I'm intellectually interested, but not really excited.

I'm excited about the whole game, I think this is the longest that I've ever been excited about anything!

Indeed. I don't even think the wait for DA2 was this bad.

Well, I'm really hyped for the perk and judgment mechanics. All the wonderful RP opportunities.

The only thing I can remotely compare it to is the excitement I had when hearing a new Elder Scrolls was coming out (pre-Skyrim). This is infinitely more of that "can't wait for Xmas" feeling for me though because it's DA. I can make it my own.

Hi guys! Good to see you all today :)

I just caught up on the conversation, and as far as who I'm excited to see...well I can't really pick. I want to meet everybody so badly. And I want to pelt my enemies with giant flying rocks. (Because I've always kind of had a preference for Earth Spells, with Cold spells as a close second.)

But, if I had to pick- I'd say all the advisers and Blackwall. :3 Mentor figures always put a smile on my face.

Well, I'm really hyped for the perk and judgment mechanics. All the wonderful RP opportunities.

This too. Any possibility for RPing. Also excited to hear that Skyhold is really expansive, at least from the sounds of it.

The only thing from the magazine that I didn't like the sound of, (bar the errors), was that we get upgrades by improving certain aspects of the Inquisition. IIRC, from the example they gave, I'd rather have the benefit from the Espionage branch, but my first Inquisitor would prefer not to expand the Espionage branch as much. But I probably misinterpreted.

When you say "My Inquisitor" are you speaking from an RP perspective?

It's possible. Honestly I don't really like the sounds of that either. But, it is what it is, and since I'm playing Mass Effect 3 still (and Mass Effect 2 had ship upgrades so it's kind of similar?), I kind of get that vibe off of it.

Oh yeah. If it were me, I'd Espionage branch all the things, perks or no.

^_^ That's so weird.  I am more excited to meet and get to know Cullen than ever. The questions surrounding how and why he was chosen for his position in the Inquisition and the potential mystery of his last name, not to mention some of the little things we've learned about him since he was announced as an LI -- such as he's a BAMF and that his dialogue has a bit of wit and sass to it. I think there are a multitude of elements to his character that have increased my interest.  God, I just CAN'T WAIT FOR THIS GAME!!

Same here. Honestly, it's always a joy to get to know the people I'll be working with in any Bioware game. Although, being someone recently converted to the Cullen fandom, I do admit getting to meet him will probably illicit from me an especially excited statement of joy. (But like I said, I just want to meet everyone! And possibly hug them and grab a beer, if they're into that sort of thing, especially since it was said Skyhold has a tavern.)

I know! I can't wait to see the guy relax a little and finally meet the person that's behind the professional front. I can't wait to unwrap all his secrets! *giddy smile* ^_^

Absolutely!  I have so many questions...so many things I want to hear him talk about in his own words.  I'm so tired of my own speculation. I want to watch his character unfold and finally know what he's all about, what makes him tick.  I have the same kind of excitement about the other characters - such an embarrassment of riches we have - but Cullen's the one I'm anticipating the most, the one I am having to pinch myself about when I think I'm actually getting my hands on this game in a matter of a few months.  :D

Hold up, PC. Based on how I'm reading the information, the way you get perks depends on how you choose which advisor to utilize. Like say, if you have a quest, you can get presumably get one of three perks based on the advisor. I mean, it makes sense that to get a certain Secrets perk (Espionage) from a mission, you'd have to use Leliana on that specific mission.

Btw, there was a brief description of the perks system. Should I write it up and drop it in spoiler tags?

Take all of my likes.

I have to admit, the fact this came is even coming out makes me want to pinch myself sometimes to make sure this isn't a dream. This really is the kind of game I've always wanted to play, ever since I was a little kid! (Barring some of the more mature stuff, since well, I was a kid.) But, I always wanted to be the head of some big group saving the world, getting to be friends with people, and being able to make the protagonist just the way I want them, and being able to make the call about stuff (and choose a love interest, I really liked romances even as a kid, funny enough- I just always admired two people being so close and having each other's back no matter what- also why I like buddy stories, too.). And of course, it would need to be a fantasy game with dragons  and magic in it. ^^

It was stated a while back that Cullen left the Templar order. I highly doubt he's still a Knight Captain. But, it never hurts to ask the Devs for clarity or a reminder.

Where was it stated in the first place? I thought it was just speculated that he truly left the order all together....clarification would be very, very nice

Well this is what EP posted that worries me:
Spoiler

Basically, the way I'm reading it, if I decide I like the sound of the Secrets perks, (from a gameplay perspective), and I unlock a lot of them, my Inquisition will automatically become Espionage focused, which I don't necessarily want, (from a RP perspective), even if it's mostly an aesthetic change. Hopefully, there's more to it than that.
