I wonder if they do have their own personal space? In ME3 they had rooms they preferred to hang out in, but mostly they had one shared room where they slept. I wonder if they'll actually have their own bedrooms that are decorated to their own tastes? And if you're romancing one of them, do they move into your bedroom?

 

You mean like, "Welcome to my quarters. My ridiculously sized quarters are your ridiculously sized quarters."?

 

Oh dear, imagine having to negotiate drawer and closet space with someone like say, Vivienne.  Although she could maybe use her old room as her closet if she moves in to your room. (Assuming she's a romance.)

 

But I think it'd be really cool if they had their own personal spaces. Like say we're wandering around the Keep and we peek into their bedrooms--- it'd be a really nice touch to be able to look into there and see all these personal touches in the bedrooms and be like, "Oh hey! This is totally Sera's room!" or "This room just screams Dorian."

 

Wasn't there something in that article from PC Gamer about being able to find our companions and advisor's kinda just hanging out in different parts of the Keep? And how the Keep itself is pretty vast as well? With a tavern and stuff.

So, I've been lurking here a while, but the discussion of armor and fanfiction romances involving Cullen's armor finally tempted me to comment. Speaking as someone who participated in a re-enactment group for years and still has a couple of good friends who are armorsmiths, there are a couple of things to note about metal plate armor. First, hugging someone in metal plate armor is kinda like hug an overheated giant tin can with hot sweaty contents (not that this ever stopped me, mind you). Second, for plate armor to bend at the joints and allow free movement, there are a lot of plates whose edges will open and close gaps as you bend and move. Whatever you do, you do not want any soft part of your body to end up in that gap (think scissors with dull edges closing). The good news is that once you know where the buckles are, armor can come off much faster than it goes on (as long as the leather straps haven't gotten soaked), I think I got my ex out of his in under a minute once, but he was helping. I can't tell much from the photos of Cullen's armor, but the idea of shenanigans at the table are entirely possible (I'm assuming a protective plate kind of like a sporran. Chain mail's safer in general for shenanigans and much more huggable, but hair can get caught and trapped in it. As for that mysterious tie in the video, I've been scratching my head over that, unless it's holding something (that protective plate?) in place.

Howdy guys!  It's been an awful month for me and fanfiction writing and writing in general.  I tried to write a happy story and I killed Iron Bull... I think it's time to put down the pen and paper for a bit.  (sighs)  I'm usually better at this!  It takes me a couple of drafts to get past "I" and start in third person (don;t know why, it's just how I do).  Sooo, I was going to rewrite and expand my Cullen thing (without the Cullen death), and then Iron Bull died too, and I was like what is wrong with me!!! *shakes fist*  And then my husband said it was time for therapy, and he would drive me himself.  >.> 

 

I was trying to catch up (after 2 whole days of not logging into the Cullen thread!  I am awful!), and noticed Allan was in earlier giving some tidbits.   Allan, you rock

 

And thanks once again Lola and DA Fan for all the hard work on videos.  My favorite series from DA is the hidden gems videos.  Super thumbs up!
