Hmm, interesting! TBH, I think this could be our first close up of the new templar armor design for DA:I (which then boggles me why Cullen is wearing it -- but I guess that's lore-bending HoDA for you). But they're not wearing the DA2 armor in the E3 demo any longer. It's reddish, still has the straps in back (!), and has a sort-of split skirt.

So, I'm back to my theory that Anders' explosion tore a hole in the Veil, which was already quite thin, because it's Kirkwall, where there's more Shades in the streets at night than prostitutes. And Cullen and his templars were really busy trying to kill everything that got out and made abominations. And I guess one of these guests gave Cullen a souvenir. Because his scar looks like something with pretty huge claws decided to add him an extra mouth.
I wonder if we'll see Cullen, Leliana and Josephine as Cassandra locks our arse up? Or if any of them will come down to interrogate us (beyond Cass)?

I don't think Cullen and Josie will join Leli and Cass in that. Cullen seems to be more about kicking asses than interrogating helpless traumatized people. He never had that sadistic thing in him. Josie will probably be busy with something else, and my intuition tells me this is also not something she would enjoy. Not that Leliana and Cassandra would, but interrogating people is kind of their job, and someone has to do it.

What I was thinking was more that maybe as we're being marched through the Skyhold to the dungeons (or wherever they keep us) we'll see them in passing. Plus, we do look suspect falling out of the Fade like that after everyone else has died, I could imagine Cullen and Leliana (especially Leliana) wanting to see for themselves who's being accused of the murder of not only the Divine but hundreds of people in attendance at that peace gathering, so it wouldn't surprise me if all three advisors are at least seen as Cassandra drags our arse through the dirt.
*Edit* Cullen may even need to come down to check on us to make sure we're not some sort of demon or blood mage, afterall, he is trained for that sort of thing.
And there is no way to tell whether or not the mage is a blood mage, unless you do something horrible to the mage. Like, try to cut off their limbs or something. But Cullen is bad at templaring, remember?

He could tell that those 3 mages at the end of the game weren't blood mages. Hell, if I was him I'd still go down there and take a look, if only out of morbid curiosity! Better to know your "enemy" right?

I can sort of imagine them all coming down to peer through the bars at Unimpressed Inquisitor, and Unimpressed Inquisitor being all "What? See something you like?" and putting them all off guard

No, he didn't argue with Meredith when she said there is no way to see if they were blood mages. He was just willing to believe they were telling the truth, because they were scared, and didn't want to die, and blood mages would probably summon demons to defend themselves, or used blood magic to mind-control the templars. So he was just going to trust them, and take that risk, because his heart told him so, I don't know
But yeah, I hope Varric just forgot to mention something. Maybe Wilmod knocked Cullen out, or maybe Hawke didn't use magic, and was just beating abominations with her staff. Or maybe Cullen was just to focused on the abominations, got all those PTSD flashbacks, and completely didn't notice non-abominations, who knows?
It will be funny if he and Varric have banter about it in DAI. I hope they will mention it at least, or joke about it. Or we will hear that something completely different actually happened, and Varric just told Cassandra a story with a huge plot hole, and she will freak out about that.
