The Elder One.
I'm hoping the The Elder One is some kinda of High Demon or Dragon and not the Big Bad lol

I'm thinking it's one of those Ancient Dragons, cause during the demo we heard a loud ass dragon roar in the castle, and right after that, Leliana says it's the Elder One.
Well, I understand, not everyone wants to be spoiled.
And yes that is some what of a spoiler.. I just don't think its a major one tho.. (at least not for me)
Personally I don't really mind spoilers, and my 1st PT i go in as my self as well... but every time I do that either a lot of ppl die or they leave.. Lol I remember in DAO i went in blind and... lets just say things didnt end well with most of my companions
I always manage to screw things up even tho I meant well...or at least thats what I thought at that moment, but I guess other ppl don't see it that way...
So right now im gonna try to avoid those crazy situation... and I especially dont want to ****** Cullen off if I make the wrong decision... yes I know I am a cheater... but i want things to go smooth
Mine didn't go too badly, although I missed Leliana and Zev betrayed me in DA:O and in DA2 Fenris sided against me and I missed Isabela during my first playthrough of both games, but with DAI I already know how their games work at it's core so I know that I have to actually interact with all of them and try and get their friendship up (or whatever the DAI equivalent is) for them to generally not screw me over and I know who all the companions and advisors are so I'll know who to look out for and that I need to pay close attention to the quests in order to essentially "collect them all" without missing anyone. Beyond that I don't mind so much how badly I screw up quests and things because I'm playing blind making decisions I'd make in that situation.
It's really just a morbid curiosity to see how badly I'd balls up if I was thrown into that situation (within the games limitations, obviously).

Demons can roar too ![]()
I'm curious what or what they cut out of that scene to avoid spoilers? Or whether they were lying about us sending Leliana to Redcliffe and her getting captured, when in reality, she was already there and this is how we recruit her into our organisation? They've advertised her as being in Redcliffe a lot in the trailers, making me wonder if it's inevitable she goes there or was already there at the start?
And for the weird off-topic Voyager talk... I support the reviewer SFDebris' take on Harry Kim, as it's completely obvious that he's secretly in love with Tom Paris if you watch most of the subtext of their scenes, but it's a one-sided crush and he's very much in denial about it. It would also explain why Harry ends up repeatedly seeking out unattainable women as well, who he can neither get or stay with for long.
It was rumoured that someone high-up didn't want any gay characters in Trek, which would explain why we never saw any, so we ended up being left with a lot of ambiguously gay characters like Harry in Voyager and Reed in Enterprise, who could have easily been written as such. Of course, no-one knows if that rumour is true (or who might have vetoed it), but it definitely would explain a lot.
The Elder One.
Oh right! I thought you were talking about the achievement list for a second, lol!
It wasn't directly related to the spoilers comment, but:

Oh God no lol. If I was gonna talk about that, I would have used spoiler tags. Though I'm thinking it's a legit, if incomplete list.

Lol, it sounded like a dragon, man.

It's hard to tell how much of it was staged and/or adapted for E3 isn't it, the whole thing seemed to flow very naturally. If, like DG suggested as an example, at that point we're not even the Inquisitor it makes you wonder what the hell that quest is all about, like maybe it's not even supposed to be set in Redcliffe castle at all and they just swapped the area it took place in to throw us off etc?
Hmm,this kind of suggests that we probably have to earn our way to the top, until a certain point.
Ofcourse "humble beginnings" is an essential part in every rpg, since it gives the player a sense of achievement.
Still I'm glad to hear that, our inquisitor will have to work in order, to convince the others that he/she is the right person for the job.
Becoming a leader of leaders, out of sudden wouldn't have made sense to me.
Well, if that spoiler in the latest BioWare base video is anything to go by then we will have to earn the position to get Cassandra to hand it over.

Well the Leliana rescue scene seemed a little short to me. So did the Alexius scene now that I think about it. Where was the 'dammit, you got me monologuing!' part? They at least intentionally used the shortest dialogue options there.
They skipped several sections and cut it together. And we have no idea how far the party had to travel through the Castle before they reached Leliana's torture chambers.
Thought I'd run in to share I beat DA:O and DLC along with finally beating DA:A (no one died!) today. So on to DA2!
Any new vids lately while I've been killing darkspawn?

Have you seen the combat trailer?
I was curious about the whole "you're alive" thing from Leliana, I wanted to know what the Inquisitor's response was if we picked "it's a long story" or whatever. Sounds like something bad happened and they got separated from her and she presumed they were dead or something.
Or we'd already met her briefly at the giant Chantrypalooza during the prologue, but she had been called away before the Breach happened? It would explain why she'd be surprised to learn that we weren't turned to a crisp like everyone else, if she'd heard the fate of the people that were at ground zero when it went down?

I think that may come from the bit in the middle that's cut out. Or Something that happened in the game prior to the demo. URGH I WANT THIS GAME NOW.

I had kinda assumed that this occurred when we got smacked around by the big bad, and Leliana was perhaps told that we were defeated while she was being tortured.

Jebus, I hadn't even thought of that! She could have been MIA ever since then and Cassandra sent us off to look for her because she's an important leader within the Inquisition. Certainly makes you wonder just when, where, and why the situation takes place, doesn't it!
No, that couldn't work, because Laidlaw says the Inquisitor is the one who sent Leliana to Redcliffe.
Her being captured after leaving and then informed of the death of the Divine (which I suspect might be the case) and everyone at the peace summit would definitely explain why she seems p***ed off in general, even factoring in the torture she's undergone.

Good point! So that means that at least by that point we are definitely the Inquisitor, although whether or not it's early on or not is anyone's guess.
Also remember Gaider just likes to come in and "kick down the sandcastle" by stopping speculation so it doesn't turn into a blazing fire of theories and assumptions.
That scene could be entirely the one we can see in the game.
