But then what about the explosion where everyone ,except yourself, is supposed to die? And I don't see them introducing characters at the very beginning before even showing off your Inquisitor. Plus, for those who have little to no knowledge to the lore of DA (either this is their first game ever or they just havent had the time to research everything), this would be very confusing to most players.

 

I meant after the explosion (Elu <3). One of the only universal rituals all human cultures adhere to is a form of funeral and death worship. I don't think a funeral would confuse anyone, it'd actually be something familiar for new players to latch onto. More familiar than the Fade, anyway.... but I have no idea what's going to happen, I'm just speculating.  ^_^

 

Anyway, personally I think we'll have all three advisors from the start of the game, or at least very, very early on (I'm talking like the very first story line quest). We'll see though.

No, no, no. He stands in for Leliana to sing a dirge at the Warden's funeral if she romanced the Warden in DAO, because she's too busy mourning.

Regardless, I still think the singing would/should stem more towards something to do with the Inquisition, itself. Either a member or your inquisitor or a war song.

 

Ehhhh...

 

I'd personally prefer it be a funeral dirge, myself. Or Cullen just singing one of the Chant verses to himself in the Chantry. 

 

Musicals and Lord of the Rings/The Hobbit are so far the only things that've made random singing sound good and I definitely don't want it to be for the Inquisitor. I die of second hand embarrassment really easily.  :lol:

If a man has time to sing me a song while I'm dying in his arms he sure as hell has time to figure out a way to save me.  :P

Well, I think it would be very sweet! Plus, who the Hell knows if there even is a way to save your Inquisitor. Maybe he sings out of feeling completely hopeless and lost. That in order to keep himself sane he just does it out of habit?

I would be sitting there with my face in my hands trying not to feel mortified. And I'd wonder who the hell would think, in that kind of situation, someone would think to randomly break into song. Even Leliana only says the chant to herself when she's in a serious situation.

It's the "and the people who died with her" part that makes the "mounting" misread particurally :o worthy! :blink:

Regardless, some of us are going to be embarrassed one way or the other or unhappy with how they decided to incorporate the singing. It's inevitable, so the pendulum doesnt swing one way or the other. We could all be extremely off base here for all we know!

I like my "you can't hear me go to the toilet! cover your ears and sing really loudly" scenario personally :P

People would hate it being a funeral dirge/memorial dirge for the Divine and massive amount of life lost? Or the Inquisitor catching him singing the Chant in the Chantry by himself?

 

I don't know. However they handle it, I just hope it's classy and not ridiculous.

 

Edit: And I personally don't think it needs to have anything to do with the Inquisition/Inquisitor at all.

Believe it or not, yeah, they would lol. I know my brother, for instance, gets all pissed off at 'stupid stuff in the intro' and 'come on can't we skip this bullsh!t and get to the game already?' There are a lot of other players like that who would be annoyed with it lol.
