I'm doubtful about shiftingBeardy to rogue. He's been DAI s&s in gameplay vids. If they've switched it's more likely to be Cullen to a Templar hunter just because we've not really seen him for Inquisition yet.

What confuses me is that the devs said all the companions were important people in some way, right? Well, if Cole is a companion how does he fit into this? I mean, sure he's special, but he's not someone of power within Thedas or a specialist in some way (like Solas and his Fade knowledge).

 

 

 

He could be a leader of the fade somehow.... IDK.... they'd make it WERK.

Well if DHMG is Dorian, he's been pretty strongly hinted at. Plus Cole would fit the bill pretty well. Grey Warden dude doesn't seem like he'd fit deceptive wax fruit at all. I'd peg him as strawberry parfait. If Cullen is a companion, shortbread would suit him, I think!

Maybe Cassandra's the wax fruit? I mean she comes across as a rough and tough girl, but if you look closely she has hearts carved on her boots :3

I've wondered this myself. Cole is a hard sell, especially since people forget him after he's gone. (Right? Did I get that right? Again, no read books, did I.) Maybe the opening of the Veil has altered him in a way, so that he can be seen.

 

Heck. Maybe Cole is the main antagonist. If he's got the mind of child, maybe he tore the Veil asunder to be seen by everyone and remembered. Like a great big tantrum.

 

I don't know. Cole doesn't fit, really. I like his character, though, and would love to see him somewhere.

I can't believe I was a spry and lovely 31 when that blog post came out! And a mere spring chicken of 32 during last summer's reveal of the first trailer. At this rate I will be 40 by the time the game comes out. No, with luck, I'll be retired! All DA:I, all day!

He also could possibly be surprise meatballs? Because I don't actually know what surprise meatballs are. How could meatballs be a surprise? Like you think it's just plain sauce and then, "Oh, a meatball!"?

Surprise meatball, is an inside joke between the devs,they were bringing food for a party and one of them brought a plate of meatballs and placed it near the chocolate,so everytime the rest tried a meatball they were surprised, because they expected it to be chocolate.
So I assume the surprise meatball character is someone we were given the impression was something,but he/she eventually turns out to be something else...

I was only providing Grey Warden Dude as an example of a strongly hinted at companion, not as a deceptive wax fruit. But I agree, he's definitely not one.
I actually think Cullen is the parfait, for reasons I have mentioned previously.

I'm with you in thinking Solas fills the fade expert position. Cole is a fabulous character but if I have to pin my last hopes for companion Cullen on that last rogue spot then Cole is now DEAD to me!

yeah, that really seems like the nail in the coffin of Cole's companion-hood. Unless he's King of the Fade or something.
