I just choked and nearly died on all the colours of the gummy bear spectrum, and I do not regret a thing. Is that "culleningus" thing inspired by Greg Ellis' tweet?

I don't know whether or not I should be proud on being able to bring you to near death on so many different occasions. :P

And yes, yes it is.

I should just stop eating and drinking while reading the Cullen thread methinks.  ;) Would probably help. Although I have been known to choke on air like when I first read that tweet so I dunno :S

Inquisitor: "Cullen, the troops are waiting for you to make your speech."

Cullen: "...Inquithitor, I'm going to neeth a few minuteth."

Inquisitor: o.O "Is there something wrong, Cullen? You sound a little... off. Can I get you anything?"

Cullen: "Uth. Welth." *rubs back of neck* "My tongue ith numb."

Inquisitor: "How odd. Are you okay? ...actually, come to think of it, your tongue was numb the other day too. Does this happen often? I wonder if you're coming down with something. Are you allergic to anything?"

Cullen: *clears throat* "Uth. Welth. I've notithed that thith happenth after we thpend the night together."

Inquisitor: "Pardon? I didn't catch that. It sounded like you said it happens after we sp-- ah." *a pause, and then barely stifled laughter* "Oh.". *giggling* "Well you have been doing it a lot... not that I don't enjoy it... I really do."  ;) "I didn't realize that tongue numbness was actually a thing though. I thought it was a rumour. "

Cullen: *rubs the back of his neck again, his ears have become suspiciously red* "I think... I think I'm going to... go." *strides away quickly*

Inquisitor: "Are you going to come by my quarters again tonight? Hey! What about your speech?!"

Lol, your Quizzy is insatiable. I guess Cullen will just have to research some tongue exercises. ;)

I think she figures that if he does it enough he'll eventually develop some sort of resistance or immunity against... tongue numbness.  She's really just looking out for Cullen's well-being.  ;)

Totes! And he needs a good strong tongue to make all those riveting moral speeches to The Inquisitions forces. What better way to exercise that particular muscle?

Exactly! I mean, Cullen keeps himself in peak physical and mental condition, exercises all of his muscles and all that. And the tongue is a muscle! Gotta do lots of oral exercises and such. Riveting moral speeches. Yelling in the war room. Uh. War cries.

...

I've noticed that whenever I end up engaging in discussion here my posts are either silly and vaguely naughty or long-winded meta. :S Mostly the former.

Lol @ Culleningus....the mind boggles!

I'm trying so hard to scrape my mind from the gutter, I really am but the only image I keep getting is Quizzy and Cullen around the war room table, Cullen trying to be all serious and talking with a lisp whereas, Quizzy is just permanenetly like :o ............( I should stop NOW!).

I feel like after the meeting when everyone else has left and poor Cullen's tongue is finally unnumbing (denumbing? uh?), my Quizzy is gonna be like, "Awww. Your cute lisp is gone. How 'bout we renumb that tongue? ;)"

Does he blush and walk off? Does he call her bluff right there in the war room? I don't know but I'm trying really hard not to write fic right now because I'll want to work on it all... uh. Morning. Because it's 4:30 AM here and I need to sleep for work soon. :S

Also, staaaaaaaay! :D One of us! One of us!

Summarising is definately not one of my stronger things, my husband laughs at me for it, I write literally paragraphs in this wee box, then delete 90% of it as its garbled nonsense. I think I write how I would talk (which is a lot), great for in company, not so great for a forum post lol.

I've lurked around the DA forums for years, popped my head into a few threads in the past but some of the older threads got a bit "uncomfortable" so I backed away just as quickly, I have a built in Drama Avoidance Beacon lol.

You guys seem really laid back and open-minded about most things DA related, so I felt it safe to venture out

Most of my friends growing up were guys, so I tend to alternate between double entendres and fun innuendos and... well no. Double entendres galore.  And mostly all delivered with a completely deadpan and absolutely neutral demeanour so no one can tell if I'm joking or not.

Seriously, my first week at work ever one of the supervisors came up to me and told me to smile because I was "scaring the customers" or something and I was like, "..." and then she walked away. Also because I can keep my face so devoid of emotion apparently I'm the scariest person in the kitchen, and I'm a 5"2' petite little Asian woman who wears pigtails surrounded by freakishly tall burly cook men with tattoos and facial hair. :D People are too afraid to try and bullsh!t me. It's excellent.

I lurked in the ME forums for years as well, and then ended up leaving the BSN completely after the ME3 forums got unbearable. But I decided to come back after I got into DA and heard about how nice and laid back the Cullen thread is. Everyone is civil here. :) I actually think it's the nicest forum thread I've been on ever. And also we tend to discuss every little tidbit of news that ever comes out, even if it's not Cullen related, so you never miss out ^_^

Stay! :) Delurk! We don't bite! (...I think? >.>)

Welcome, and definitely stay de-lurked! We're far from drama free, but it's a pretty good thread.

Ty, I will try and stay de-lurked ;)

Don't get me wrong, drama isn't always a bad thing, we are all individuals with at times very differing opinions and that's fine, its when things turn nasty I tend to cringe. Some of the older threads just went well beyond the realms of anything remotely civil and it was awful to witness -shudders- lol.

This has always seemed like a pretty open thread, various people come in and discuss allsorts of bits and pieces, not always directly Cullen related and for the most part, they are always welcomed, which is pretty awesome, you guys should be proud of yourselves for creating such an environment for folks to come and hang out in ;)

Are any of you getting odd looks and stares from loved ones/friends regarding obvious gushing over Cullen and the game itself? My husband has perfected the "Eye-roll" he just doesn't get it atall. I'm glad to be able to finally talk about it with people even more excited than I am lol

My husband is beyond eyeroll, past snide Cullen jokes, and onto calm acceptance that Cullen is now a part of our lives.

I only really talk about Cullen with my boyfriend, but he humours me.  He's even letting me make him a Cullen cosplay because he looks a little like him. And he lets me run my DA:I plot theories and speculation and random ideas for fic by him too. And sometimes he'll actually pitch his own ideas and discuss things with me too, even though he prefers ME over DA. He's a great guy. :)

Although it's really nice to be able to talk to people about DA and Cullen without having to explain every other thing.
