I'm having an amazing time, the locals have generally treated me like a princess and been so helpful, my incredibly broken Italian is getting a little better every day. We've had to nix our plans for visiting Mt Etna though, at 85 euros each it's not really in our budget now that we have a baby to get ready for. There will be other times though, I hope, I'd happily come back!

I guess there's a good reason the Dalish want so much elfroot in DAO before they go into battle! 
I'm starting to think that my Femquisitor that romances Cullen will probably roll with Sera, Iron Bull and Varric in their party, all of whom I don't know if Cullen will probably get along with personality-wise...

Sera, IB and Varric sound like a great party. If I roll mage then I may spec Sera out to be stabby rogue. If I roll rogue--which is a distinct probability for first PT--then there may be a problem cuz I'm one that likes one mage in the party for mage-y stuff. sigh.
It would be a shame, tho, cuz that party make up sounds so laid back and cool.
I can't really stand "Snowflakes". Individually, or collectively. Too high maintenance, and they never speak straight. Like Idk how I'm gonna get on w/Dorian and Viv, tbh. If they start w/ alot of snide, round about condescending language--in that "Im better than you" way--I'm gonna have to cut them...from the team.
You'll prolly have to watch everything you say around them, lest they storm off and snitch to the Divine, or the Empress, or whomever is currently holding a tenuous position of power. But hey, some places encourage that kind of behavior. Like Orlais.
Now Cass I think I like. She's honest abt stuff. lol! She'll put knife to your throat w/her bluntness. But at least she's real.
And on that note, maybe I'll go check out the Mass Effect forum. See if there are any crazy theories and some good old fashioned feces flinging going on.

There are so many party combinations I want to try, though. It will be very difficult to pick party members in the first playthrough.
It's weird, because I actually enjoy playthroughs more when I have odd couple teams, as it provides some interesting banter, especially if/when they start to get along. Morrigan never stopped being "I hate you all" to anyone except for the Warden, Nate and Velanna had that belligerent sexual tension building in Awakening, or Isabela and Aveline turning into frenemies by the end of DA2 (and Varric winning Cass over in the framing story).
I'm not sure who'll be the odd-couple in Inquisition, but I'll definitely roll Team Conflict at some point, probably as my third playthrough, after the Cassmance and Cullenmance playthroughs.

I like team conflict too. It's much more fun to have some bickering/arguments/tension than when everybody is nice and pleasant to each other. I think that's one of the reasons I rarely brought Leliana along in DA:O, she was just so nice most of the time.
In DA2 I usually take Anders and Fenris along. I love their bickering.

Wow, you are clearly confused. Fenris belongs with my Hawke and that is an end to it, END TO IT I'm not crazy, I swear.

I personally thought it was a bit strange on Fenris's part. Now I have never romanced him, so I don't know how it plays out, but I did read a few times that Fenris doesn't just open up to anyone.... or something.
Now sex and love can be completely seperate, but I never really took Fenris as the type that would have casual sex like that; considering his past.

I know we talked about this before, but I'm feeling differently now that I know I won't be romancing Cullen. Would you like him to fall for another follower/adviser?
I'm kind of indifferent at this point? Hmm. It's possible I just don't really like him with any of the available women. But there's also probably some residual jealousy there But if it did happen, I would just sort of be like, meh, okay. If it didn't happen, I'd perhaps be a bit sad that he never found love, and he strikes me as the type who genuinely would like to be in a meaningful relationship.
Since there are so few straight/bi female characters, there are only three options: Cass, Leliana, and Josie.

I also really like Merril and Carver at the Act 1, too. They weren't bickering, but Merril was so cutely awkward (or awkwardly cute?) I just had to ship them.
