I know we talked about this before, but I'm feeling differently now that I know I won't be romancing Cullen. Would you like him to fall for another follower/adviser?
I'm kind of indifferent at this point? Hmm. It's possible I just don't really like him with any of the available women. But there's also probably some residual jealousy there
But if it did happen, I would just sort of be like, meh, okay. If it didn't happen, I'd perhaps be a bit sad that he never found love, and he strikes me as the type who genuinely would like to be in a meaningful relationship.
Since there are so few straight/bi female characters, there are only three options: Cass, Leliana, and Josie.
I think I like Cullen x Leliana most. I can see them bickering a lot, but their passion for one another overcomes their differences
Ahem... yes, for some strange reason I'm not crazy about the idea that he might fall for someone else. It's weird. I mean, why shouldn't he? I guess I don't like to share
.
I could see Cullen x Josephine happen for some reason.
Agreed. If characters are falling for each other, Cullen and Josephine could work IMO.

I'm not sure, considering that they will be at odds in their world view. I could see Cullen falling for Sera, Cassandra or even Vivienne, but not Josephine. (because she's miiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiine!)

Why, exactly? *genuinely curious*
Cassandra and Cullen sound like they would agree on a lot of things.

I guess I just don't see her personality work well with his in a relationship.
For some reason... I dunno.

I agree. They agree on a lot of issues, but their personalities would clash in a romantic relationship, imo. I think they're better off as friends.

I honestly can't see him with any of them.
Cass seems to be too bossy, also she's higher up the chantry ranks than he is..I just don't see him going for anyone one with a higher position than he due to respect of the chain of command. The Inquisitor escapes that by not really being part of the chantry and just being dumped into the role of Inquisitor, I think it's more a role of convenience.
Viv-is too snooty and picky, I don't really see her choosing him
Leliana has too much of a shady background
Josie I think will be a lot like Viv just subtler
Sera is just too wild...I get the impression from her that maybe she has some serious issues with humans, enough so she wouldn't consider getting involved with one.
Not that I would like to see him alone if my inq don't romance him, I just don't see any of them matching up to him.

And actually, Cullen is under the Inquisitor in the Inquisition's chain of command. He's a member of the Inquisition, and it seems not part of the Chantry anymore. Cassandra might be higher ranked/equally ranked based on her role in the Inquisition.

True, they may not still be with the chantry but I think he'll still hold a certain amount of devotion to it and still respect the role she held in it.

As I said, she might be higher ranked then him even in the Inquisition, so your logic is still valid even if he left the Chantry. The problem is that the PC is on the same spot of cassandra for sure, so he obviously won't have problems/will move on on problems related to the chain of command.True, they may not still be with the chantry but I think he'll still hold a certain amount of devotion to it and still respect the role she held in it.
Regardless of this, I don't think Cullen and Cass are a good match for a romantic relationship either.

Sorry but I have to ask, why don't u think CullenxCass won't be good for one another? Is it because they might be to similar? Because similarity in characteristics can often be a very good thing.. like if they are on the same lvl/ and/or have same ideas and whatnot, they are both protective ppl they both share the same views, yes Cass seems to be much more of a strong woman , and maybe Cullen seems to be the type of person who isn't that... "aggressive"? But imo I think Cass would be a very good match for him I think they can balance each other out quite nicely

Sorry, I have to laugh when I see the word "bossy", one of the clearest examples of subtle gendering in the English language. That word is only used for women, and only women who are willing to take a leadership role. Frankly, I think Cullen and Cass might do well together, especially since he's supposed to be Ferelden where women are often in leadership roles, and I suspect they're in different lines of the Inquisition's chain of command just as they'd previously been in different branches within the Chantry. Chain of command is a fairly modern concept anyway. I think they'd have a lot of respect for each other, and a lot in common (I think her writer described her as having a hidden romantic streak). I could also see them detesting each other; it all depends on how the writers have written them. The problem is, with only two or three exceptions, we only know the tip of the iceberg about any of the companions or advisors, and even the ones we know more about, a lot may have changed between the last time we saw them and the beginning of DAI. The one person I don't think we'd see in a non-PC romance with Cullen is Leliana; they excluded her specifically from being a LI because they didn't want to mess with anyone's Warden romance.

As for whether she and Cullen could fall for each other, I don't know. They seem too alike, both serious, driven people, both natural leaders. That's usually grounds for friendship and camaraderie, not romance.
As for Sera, she is lesbian so no more in the mix than Iron Bull or Dorian...

I also was surprised to see Cass called bossy. I haven't really seen her act so immaturely thus far. I would instead characterize her as authoritative, contemplative, and determined.

Dont mean to be rude nor argue, but im gonna use an rl example here.. couple of my friends who got married to guys very similar to their personalities including myself, and even if we are very similar with one another, that actually made it very easy for our relationship we know what we both want and like so we don't have to argue for example about what to watch or where to go or what to eat.. its like its already a plan without even talking about it, now for some ppl this may sound boring but for me its really not, and thats why I think even tho they are very alike they *could * make a good couple and as I said before they *could* compliment each other very well if it were to be the case

I sincerely disagree. I have heard the word used in reference to men many, many times. So it's definitely not just a word "only used for women".Sorry, I have to laugh when I see the word "bossy", one of the clearest examples of subtle gendering in the English language. Also would like to say that yes, in some cases similarity in personalities could equal in just friendships as well but from what i've seen so far (in my experience) is that it often equals in better relationships..
ok maybe not THAT often, but as I said in most cases that I have witnessed even tho some of my friends were opposed of finding someone similar to them and they wanted someone who was totally opposite of them, they ended up with pretty much a "mirror" of their personalty lol witch in the end turned out to be very good for them.. little did they know
But I wont argue the fact that opposite DO attract cause they def do , Im just saying that even if Cass and CULLEN are very similar, there is still a chance for a romance and not necessarily being just friends, same goes for everyone else

Ok bossy was probably not the best way to describe her, I was just trying to condense my post and just used that word in general.
I have a feeling she is leading by proxy. I just can't see why a complete unknown, with no connection to the chantry or someone with no leadership skills is chosen by her to lead the Inquisition...other than the fact that this one person has a power to close tears, which can be done in a support role. Which leads me to believe the inquisitor is just a puppet for which Cassandra can control and run things through them. Is Cassandra being manipulative? I don't know, maybe the Inquisition can only be led by an 'outsider' maybe that's the loophole. So any way, this is the perception I have of her, whether completely wrong or not.
I don't think she is immature in any way shape or form.

It would be interesting to see any of them in a romantic relationship if you don't romance them. As weird as it was to have Isabela and Fenris enter a sexual relationship, it showed that the creators acknowledged what they could do if they are not romanced.
For Cullen...either Josephine or Cassandra. Probably unlikely, but it would be interesting to see. Though right now, I would rather see how he would do in romance firsthand than see it with another advisor/companion. ![]()
