Ha, ha. Fear of spiders is very common so I think it would be nice to have a hero who suffers from that phobia. I swear, my sister is the worst. The spider can be really small and just about the size of a pinhead but she screams regardless of its size. If it has more than 4 legs it's the enemy.

If I see a spider, no matter how big it is, in my room....I can't sleep in it for the rest of the night. There was once a spider on the drivers side of my car and I ended up crawling out of the other side of the car just so I wouldn't encounter it.

"assuming it's a normal sized spider and not a fantasy sized one" Oh my god! I have this image in my head of Quizzy having a screaming fit because there is a giant fantasy spider in her chambers and Cullen is all like, "What's the problem? It's just a spider." And then some how manages with his BAMF poweress to lift the thing up and gently place the thing outside.

Then the next day Quizzy finds Cullen with the same giant spider trailing along behind him, "W-w-why is that thing following you, Cullen?" And he just grins and replys, "I think it likes me, hasn't left me alone since yesterday. I've always wanted a pet though so I think I'm going to keep him." Then leans in and whispers, "Oh, by the way, can you please refrain from screaming around him. Shrill sounds tend to make him nervous."

Okay, this just gave me an idea: Giant fantasy spiders as mounts  !

And then Cullen and my Quizzy would have a fight of epic proportions, because my Quizzy would murder the spider in cold blood. On the spot. In front of Cullen. Is their fight a screaming match or an actual bout of fisticuffs? I dunno! ...probably both. :S

Urgh, the smaller they are the faster they scuttle ;)

I used to be terrible with spiders, really bad, like when my husband worked nightshift, I'd call my dad at stupid o'clock in the night to drive the 3miles and come save me lol Since we moved to the countryside, (I swear some are so big they should be paying me rent!) I've gotten a little better, I'm cool now as long as they don't move until someone can get rid of them.

Sorry if the phobia thing has been discussed, I just felt with my "hair thing" I was heading way OT.

Just read your story Boom, its fantastic!! I don't know where to begin with likes and such on those boards but have a biggie here " I LIKE" :D

If Cullen ever did this, my Quizzy would personally throw an 'All Abominations Welcome Party' coupled with free biscuits and tea. Low blow, yes, but she doesn't mess around when it comes to her own worst nightmares, either.

Ummmm, if you killed Cullen's pet spider, the only pet he has ever had I don't think he would like your Quizzy much anymore. But then you could always use blood magic to remedy that. :P

I like spiders. I mean, they eat over 2,000 insects a year apparently. That's 2,000 + insects you don't have to deal with. And they make such pretty webs. I feel bad when I have to kill the adorable little things in games.

There's quite a big spider in the corner of my room currently. I don't mind them... I mean, I wouldn't want one running up my arm in case it laid eggs under my skin or something, but in general I don't mind them.

Last year I've read an interesting article about how computer game spiders helped some people to deal with their spider phobia. I'm not kidding. So, you should all embrace spiders in DAI  :P . But it's all very well for me to laugh since I don't live in Australia. I've heard they've got really huge spiders there - bird spider sized.

At least you aren't actively killing his pet like someone else *side eyes Loominous* :P

She'd then proceed to withhold any intimate relations from him and give him the silent treatment until he got rid of the "thing".

Edit: she'd be like: "No smex for you!" *closes self into room until the offending beast has been dispatched with.*

Delphine will get Cullen a pet rock for his name-day. Or Satinalia. One of those. Or a mabari. A lion! Hell, or maybe a dragon. Or a bog unicorn named Andy.

But no spiders or anything squishy and scuttly with more than 4 legs >.<  :P

Unless he'll accept crossovers, then I'd get him a ninjask or a shedinja. Or an ariados! Those pokemon are cool. ;)

Every now and then that old news story about black widows laying eggs in bananas will pop up and I'll refuse to eat bananas for months because I don't want black widow eggs hatching in my nose or something (no it doesn't make sense but I've only ever read the whole article once and I was skimming over it in terror)

You know, based on my previous posts today, if I ever come across and eight-legged hairdresser, I'm finished lol.

I hate seeing anything killed and that includes spiders, if they can be put outside I much prefer it.

I couldn't go to bed with one in the room, noo way and that goes for my Quizzy too, nope, unfortunately Cullens over-sized pet would either need its own room or it would need to be outside.

Can you imagine the version of the bedroom scene, instead of the giant cat watching through the hole in the ceiling that it was a giant spider sitting up there instead? lol I'm cringing at the thought.

I read a thing where a model had gotten bitten by one whilst in Australia and the swelling wouldn't go down. Then a month or so later when she was doing some catwalk run way thing she decided to try and burst the raised red lump thinking it might be a boil and a "clutch??" of unhatched spiders eggs came out. That one freaked me out a bit, admittedly.

I've read another similar case as well. My sister (which is an arachnophobe) freaked out when she found out as well.

Generally, spiders in the UK are alright. They don't really tend to bite very often, I've seen some jump though.

That is the stuff horror movies are made of, geez, how awful.

I used to work in a ditribution warehouse for imported fruit & vegetables, I witnessed a LOT of unsavoury sights in that job. Let's just say all fruit & veg is examined before buying and washed thoroughly before eating lol.
