Oooo, you're right! And I've played through Warden's Peak twice recently and never paid attention to that line.
I thought it was a really interesting tidbit.
Of course, there's an extremely high probability of it all just being a coincidence. But I like the idea of a young Cullen wanting to become a templar because he wanted to restore some sort of honour to his family name, and being a knight (or close to one) is a good way of doing so.
Of course, I also really like the idea of him being a Chantry Boy. Or a farm boy. Actually, anything other than him being a noble, although I could live with that. Secret/former/estranged/disgraced nobles everywhere!
