That last sentence. So. Badly! I have a neeeeeeeddddd! So what do you think we'll get!? I heard there's a lot of good stuff.
It looks like we might see a marsh based on the screenshots. Blackwall and Cole/Solas might be in the party. Perhaps character creator? Or they could show us Skyhold. That would be brilliant! Or or or. I'm going to die of anticipation. Maybe we'll hear the rest of the companions/advisors talk? Maybe?
2 hours and 17 minutes left. *-*

I would, however, like to apologize to the ppl who have been offended by the posts that I have made, It wasn't intended as an attack nor was it intended as a mockery towards ppl with that kind of problem, I was just simply stating my opinion on the situation of the scene.. witch unfortunately happens (or would have happen) quite often.. I have nothing against ppl with mental or physical disabilities, as I have stated in my previous comments I did tried to save her but unfortunately it wasn't possible, and to me she just seemed like a normal person and not like a person who was "mentally disabled" I just figured she was just over protected/ or in shock of her father's death and she just needed to get the feel of the "real world"
Im not trying to sturr up sht even tho A LOT OF THE TIMES when I try to express my self it usually comes out as aggressive and very UN-polite/offensive to certain ppl .
English is not quite my 1st language, so whenever I try to say something IT WILL come out pretty aggressive AND disrespectful, even-though that is not exactly my intent.
So... weather you guys accept this or not I apologize for this disrespectful outbreak and will no longer talk about this issue
The thing is, that post had nothing to do with what might happen in real life or the game's events. It was about the treatment of the character by the developers. It was about how people were gleeful and wanted to kill a character that was 'not normal'. I can accept that you were ignorant of her character, but it hit a raw nerve when you tried to defend how the company treated the character.
Perhaps you didn't read the post all the way through?
I know terrible things can happen in game to any type of character and that is has nothing to do with being against mental disabilities/race/sexuality/any number of thing you can think of. It's when people and especially the developers come out and say 'yeah, we were looking forward to brutally killing this character because of her handicap' that there's a problem.
Apology accepted, but I'm gonna step out again to calm down because I'm still a bit heated over it.

i really don;t want that. i'd personally like it to be a beefy sp, with a healthy mp-ish side...annnddd sum kinda way to..idk, it's hard to explain, but bring the codes/clues/puzzles into the fandom area. so they could ferret them out and then you could bring that back to the main game.
keep up the fictional char interaction in the real world, and just kinda layer the experience. basically kinda bring the fictional into the everyday.
i just don't care for mmo's, and this concept so far sounds so cool, i would be sad. tbh, i think it may be an mmo cuz it's coming outta BW Austin and from what i know they seem to make the mmo's.
Balls to it, I took off the bandages and just put some polysporin on the cuts.
Too hard to do anything with a bulky hand.
Well, it's Bioware, so I don't think any of us will have to worry about not having a beefy singleplayer. But I think an mmo would work, especially if they do something akin to Destiny. Destiny is like... an MMOFPSRPG, and the cool thing is that you're not obligated to play with other people at all. So if you don't have internet? That's fine, you can still experience the game and have fun. You have internet but still want to play singleplayer? Also fine, because you can still go about your business in the world and play on your own, and while you might see other players, you are in no way obligated to interact with them if you don't want to, and they can't mess with you. For the random events that happen in the world, you don't have to participate in those either. You can go around doing your own thing the entire time. And if you want to play multiplayer PvP? Then that's in a whole different area as well. (Actually, it's on a whole different planet...)
But the reason why I think an ARG would work is actually kinda what you said, with bringing the puzzles/codes/clues for the fandom to solve, which would in turn, affect the game. That's a huge component of ARGs. I almost think that's the direction they're already going in in any case actually, because of the live action trailers. Have you watched Marble Hornets? Marble Hornet's is an ARG. All of the video entries, the tweets and all of the in character interaction with the fans is considered a part of the game. A better example of this I suppose would be Defiance, except that Defiance isn't/hasn't been doing very well. :S

Is it sad that I enjoy the new mmo's for the consoles....?(Probably cuz my big brother recently moved away and that's the only way that we are able to maintain some stability with each other). First game I'm getting is Destiny :3 #BroAndSisTeamFTW
so tell me--what do you like abt the New mmo's? how are they diff than the older ones? i'm genuinely curious. what are they doing differently, if anything?
i usually go to a game to get away. so i don't really want to share my gameworld in those instances--but then i barely wanna share the road with ppl in RL.
and my main friends and fam are still local. but i understand that's a great way for friends and fam that are at a distance to keep together. now i do enjoy sum good mp--when i'm in the mood, but i'm not one that wants the whole experience to be mp.
gamewise, tho, how are the mmo's these days?
edit nvm Loomi posted sum stuff abt it.

Once again, I apologize for that, I wasn't aware that she ACTUALLY had a disability.. and you are right, I did not read all the way through I just pretty much read the 1st paragraph... and then thought I "knew it all" I apologize for my ignorance....And your right, no matter what problems ppl have they shouldn't be considered as a "liability" IN ANY situation....
I guess taletell games.. got me thinking "one-sided"... talk about brainwashed... but yea.. I wasn't aware that the actual devs were pro to this... that IS pretty disturbing.. also sorry if I made u feel uncomfortable... i didn't mean to do that....
... also thank you for the kind words... I know I shouldn't deserve them.., but thank you once again ![]()

The thing I really would love to see from today's event is the new character creator and some of the customization options we've been hearing so much about.
Don't get me wrong I'd love to see some more places and combat features too but right now I want to start imagining what my Inquisitor could look like and I think that seeing the CC would help kick that process off. Also hair!

Well, for one, they are via xbox (which we both own the new gen consoles) and we're able to chat and skype with each other while playing. I wasn't much into old gen mmos, but for one, they're via television, and you don't have to interact with other people if you choose not to. My bro and I have Macs so old mmos are a no go for us seeing as our computers cannot handle them as well as a windows computer.

this is interesting. so with destiny though, if you do your thing are their other characters abt--npc's/fake--that will bring the world to life? and are actually able to deal with missions and difficult stuff on your own? and when you see other players, is it an unnatural amount of them bumbling about? or..?
i haven't played mmo's in a long time.

Well, if you're doing your own thing, then there are NPC's around, yes. At least, on the (Citadel? I think it's called the Citadel. Or maybe the Spire. I can't actually remember. :S), which is the main hub. Here, you can buy weapons, armour, ships and other stuff, as well as pick up bounties and side-quests, pick up rewards and mail, and talk to NPC's and progress the main storyline. You can also learn more about the world too.
As for other players, it never seemed extremely crowded to me. The Citadel seemed reasonably populated, and it was cool being able to see other people walking around and doing their own thing. And seeing a bunch of EXO (robots) and Awoken (alien race) dance around was pretty fun.
As for outside the main hub, well, we only got to see the Moon and Old Russia as it was a limited beta, and Old Russia was worn down considerably because of Earth getting invaded and taken over. But the environment and level design was enough to add character on its own, even if what we saw wasn't populated by anything other than other players and enemies. Seriously, the game is beautiful. When my friends weren't online, then I'd go into explore mode and just walk around "ooo"ing and "awwww"ing over how gorgeous the game was. There's enough character in the environment for you to draw your own conclusions and infer what happened on your own.
If you don't have anyone you know to play with, and you feel like going after some higher level areas or you just want to play with some people, then you have some options. You can either start a "strike" mission, which will basically put you onto a server with a bunch of other players, and then once you get to a certain point it'll split you all into groups of 3 at the max. So say you join a strike mission and there's 12 people there, then all of you would work together to progress through that starting point, and then once you and two other players get to a certain point in that level then it'll just be the three of you for the rest of that mission. I thought that was a cool way of doing things. Conversely, you can also just see if there are any open Fire Teams available that are open to the public and it'll put you in them.
On the other hand, if you have some people you know that you want to play with, then you just need to invite them to your Fire Team and you're set. You can do anything, campaign, multiplayer, explore, raids... it's 6 people per Fire Team at the max.
As for difficulty? Well, I'm pretty sure Bungie said that they weren't going to force people to play the game with people if they didn't want to. The game is set up so that certain areas will have higher level enemies, so as long as you're prepared and geared up accordingly, you should be able to handle things on your own. Same as any other game in that respect. In the beta, there were actually some areas that I found where the enemy level appeared as "????" and my attacks barely did any damage, but that being said, level cap in the beta was 8. Bungie has stated that the real grind doesn't start until level 20, but you can find, buy and earn some really cool gear in any case.
And as an ending note, I would describe Destiny as an open world RPG-MMO-FPS, except when I say open world, I mean that you can actually go and take off on your space ship and explore and discover whole other planets, and it's kinda Borderlands-esque in that "GUNS! SO MANY GUNS! A GAZILLION DIFFERENT KINDS OF GUNS!" All within a rich and deep universe and narrative. And it's Bungie. Space games are kinda their thing. And Bungie hasn't let me down yet. ![]()
