Oh no...! Not a Cullen x Anders shipper. I just like the idea of them working together because there's no better alternative in a volatile world that would destroy them both and learning to poooossibly be friends.

In a non-shipping way (though this would be hard; the fangirl is strong with this one), I can see them being reluctant comrades fighting for a common goal, disliking one another at first, but after awhile, growing to know one another and see one another as people and not "the enemy." And yes, eventually becoming friends.
This pairing is a totally new concept to me.

It's a juicy enough idea that I can see why a person would go there, but I just can't with those two. Same with Fenders. Friends they may become but it'd be a snarky and sometimes mean friendship.

EDIT: My only total OTP is M!Hawke x Fenris; I will read M!Hawke x Anders, or maybe M!Hawke x Isabela, but Fenris can only go with Hawke, specifically, my Hawke
Just curious, what are everyone's Cullen-related OTPs? Other than Anders x Cullen and Cullen x Alain, I've got my M!Lavellan x Cullen pair. I'm okay with and would happily read about Cullen x Cass or Cullen x F!Cadash. Of course when it comes to you guys' fanfic I will read him however you prefer to write him; I've enjoyed all the various ships I've read thus far
Actually my fav Fenris ship is Sebris at the moment (Sebastian and Fenris). I have seen some really nice fics about them
I haven't made lot of Cullen ships yet but M!Hawke and Cullen is one of my ships (just my Niall though not other M!Hawkes). Then I ship Amell x Cullen and Surana x Cullen.. that's easy ^^; I kinda ship Carver and Cullen too XD But I'm sure I will have another OTP in DAI with Cullen alongside my Inquisitors love for him. Not sure who yet.

I started reading a Cullen x Carver x Fenris fic that I only continued reading because it portrayed Cullen so well; the Fenris x Carver stuff plus the threesome thing was just not to my taste. I skipped a lot of the sex and just read the non-sex parts, but after awhile it stopped making sense since I was skipping half the poor person's fic lol
All intresting conversations always happen when I sleep ^^;
I don't actually see Cassandra and Cullen as similar characters but maybe tha'ts cause I haven't seen Cassandra's movie yet so I don't have big picture of her. I just think she's pretty straight-forward person, renegade in Mass Effect sense when Cullen is more like paragon and uses renegade option only when trying to deceive XD Like I see Cassandra being really strong willed and direct when Cullen is more self-doubting and cautious. Idk, somehow I think they like this.
I'd love to hear Cullen sing in the DAI, it'd be just nice XD
I don't think I have deep hatred for any character in DAI but I dislike Howe, Loghain, Anora (slightly), Danarius, Meredith..and many others. I don't just go around talking about my dislike much and I don't hate them with burning passion ^^; And then there is many I have love-hate relationship with like Anders.
Cullen has to be exceptionally well written to even exist in DA:I and be relevant.

I doubt Cullen is so liked character that Bioware thinks it's worth to bring him in the game just because of fangirls. There seems to be as much haters of character as fans. If he's fanservice then all other returning characters are fanservice, especiall Varric who fandom likes much more than Cullen ^^;
Cullen has much of relevance in my opinion, he's templar who has seen bad sides of mages and templars both and there is mage-templar war going on. He also witnessed one of first red templars, Meredith. I can't see how he would be irrelevant for the plot.
...now I have this delightfully idealistic vision of moderate Templars unifying with moderate Mages and forming bonds somewhat akin to the set up in the Wheel of Time books, between Aes Sedai and Warders ^.^ Just.. without the corruption and gender skews and with the Warders having the added task of watching their partner for demon corruption. More of a symbiosis.

I started giving the first books a chance, but I just could not get into the stories about Matt and Ran (or whatever their names were). Then I just started to skip through the chapters to find the parts with Nyn. Eventually I dropped the series completely, it got too spread out and too weird.
I also never was comfortable with the way Jordan wrote women. And in some parts of the books I though Jordan just came across as a perv No offence to those that liked the series, though.
