Ugh... cats wouldn't let me sleep past noon. I literally feel sick.
Cats are like that, sadly. Evil but adorable creatures...

It better NOT go down that route! Cuz I'd feel like Hell if he really DOES think we're god sent Dx
Eeeeep. Now im worried ![]()
On one hand I'm thinking "Nah that wouldn't happen" but then I remember Jacob and James "romances" :,(

Yeah it helps that they were totally passed out last night while mommy was glued to her laptop screen, squeeing over hot templars and wardens. THEIR sleep schedule is just fine lol
I don't know about you guys and gals but I've watched the trailer about 12 times now and it's still exciting! Getting not one but two shots of Cullen in action was enough to make me a very happy fan. Although now I am wondering how the very begging of the game will play out after seeing all of the fade gameplay in the trailer. I agree with some other speculators that it would be kind of cool if the green glowy Andraste-ish silly hat spirit lady touching the Inquisitors hand gave them the rift power in the beginning. I know we will be visiting the fade a whole lot during the game but I wonder if it will start out with us in the fade during the explosion. Like if the very first thing we will see when the game starts is our inquisitor plopping out of the fade, stumbling around, and getting arrested by Cassandra, then have it go all flashback on us with what happened to us during the explosion in the fade. Or if it will all just happen chronologically. Ugh, I need this game so badly! ![]()
snip awesome theory
idk who/what that dragon is, but i want to hug them.
but who knows. between the glowy lady and festeringwound!dragon...even if it is Flemeth--she might not be as big a player in all this as we think she would be. just a far more powerful player in it than we are. If it's Flemeth, she could very well be caught in the middle of sum madness, too. but trying to help out where she can.
i love the michelangelo creation of adam/hand of god thing going on there...
Well I gotta go now loves, see you all later!
lol You are definitely not alone in that excitement.
I just saw the clip and OH MY GAWD, I cannot wait for November!

This game is heavy handed with the religious symbolism. Not a bad thing, but the chaos! Politics and religion are tricky to handle in a story and I think Bioware is pretty ambitious with this game to include them both! We'll see what happens. Someone will need to make a '100 ways to screw up in DAI'.

That would be me basically if I did a Let's Play.

I don't know how many times I've watched the trailer now. I love it.
The voice of the bad guy is awesome, so is Cole's voice. Seeing and hearing Cullen is fantastic. I think I've developed a crush on Solas. I love the religious theme. I'm so curious about where they'll take the plot. The water magic looks so cool. And I'm so hoping that that dragon is Flemeth.
It's just... ALL THE FEELS!

I love that the characters can directly interact with the Inquisitor via touch, like Solas grabbing the Inquisitor's hand to close the rift and Dorian in the last demo grabbing the Inquisitor by the shoulder to stop her from going to attack the enemies that had Leliana by the throat etc. It's not often we get to see characters do that beyond the LI's kissing the protagonist and stuff.

well, DA has always had the politics and religion thing going on in their games. part of the fascination for me.
i wonder, tho with glowy lady. she does have that divine hat thing going on, but...i wonder if it is sum spirit of the fade that is merely taking the guise of a figure we are familiar with--as a person, not even the whole chantry bit, but just a person we see in the fade. and we're scared and confused and reaching for help from this person. or what seems to be this person somehow. but maybe this spirit only did it cuz it's true form might scare the begeezus out of us, and it wanted to make sure we got the fade hand?

You know, I hadn't even thought about that, but that is spot on. The new engine must make things like that more natural looking or something...which is a very good thing.

I don't know why, but I have this idea that Flemeth was find of the elves and to protect them, she locked the rest of her own kind away. But then humans came along and posed a threat to the stability of the prisons she built so she influenced their beliefs. Maybe Andraste was real. Maybe she was a Mage who Flemeth spoke to in dreams to convince her she was hearing the Maker. Or she was mundane and Flemeth did the same, only she gave her abilities to fight magic so she could bring down Tevinter, which was full of magisters who were doing the sort of magic that could free the Old Gods. I don't think Flemeth is the sole source of the goings on, I think she was doing her best to protect something or to keep mortals free from the influence of Old Gods - either all of them or just the elves. Maybe that's not it and she simply wants to rule them all and not share power. The Breach seems to have let loose something veeeerrry bad, something that speaks as though it's old and just KNOWS things. And also seems to think the Maker isn't real. I mean there's really no proof he is. But Andraste was. So how can one be real and not the other? If one is a myth and the other created to make that myth "real". Or it could be the snide barbs of a demented and powerful being who just personally believes the Maker isn't real. But the way he said it... It makes me think that's not it. After he says "Call your Maker... He does not exist." and then says "Bow to your new god" that dragon appears and tackles the other dragon. The whole things just seemed like he was speaking of something he knows more about but Flemeth showed up because she is more involved than we have known her to be. Then again, it could just be that dragon was saved by the Inquisition and kind of liked its mortal friends and attacked the threat. =D It's just a thought I love to consider because, to me, it fits.
interesting idea abt the inquisition once helping sum dragon and it repays the favor. although we do seem to be killing alot of dragons, but perhaps there was something diff abt this dragon, and its situation?
andraste and the maker: i mean, andraste existed yes, but that does not necessarily mean the maker exists as well. andraste coulda been misled; she coulda made it up; she coulda been in contact w/something that was not necessarily benign.; coulda been bloodmagic! idk
or the maker exists, but not at all in the way ppl of thedas understand it to be, or perceive it to be. maybe it is our perception of the maker that this wily old dragon was referring to our idea of the maker may not exist, but that does not mean a "maker" does not exist. and the dragon is indulging in sum lie of omission....
idk, but color me intrigued!!!
my poor inquisitor. you see how faaaaarrrr they fall from the sky?
ooo i gotta go check out that other vid. the gameplay cc one. brb!
I think that dragon we see attacking the greater dragon will be the dragon we tame/befriend. We've seen it plenty of times and it frankly looks young/generic compared to the ancient looking one.
I'm gonna name it Toothless!
I loved the little bits! And Dorian is looking - and sounding - hotter with each video. At least doesn't resemble my jerk of an ex when animated. I noticed that Cullen (I'm pretty sure) was standing there when Dorian was speaking. I reeeeally want to hear his reactions to what Dorian said. And to other bits of exposition in the game. Given his experiences, his responses to things could be very interesting. I wonder if he knows all that much about the teachings and history of his faith and if that knowledge and lore will come in handy.
Yes, that was Cullen (furry collar and seeker shield, blond hair, human), so he makes three appearances in that one trailer.
And why do I feel like there's a line somewhere in DAO referring to a herald of change or something (though I may getting confused with something else.)?
Edit: and templar bracers.

I was thinking that earlier! It's going to be so nice not having a robot stand-off when having conversations. I hope we get a lot of those interactions. And the emotions are captured so well on top of that, it's going to be so captivating.
Man, I really can't wait. o-<
