I wanted to see what was Cullen's idea to deal with the Venatori guy. I hope they were creative about it - it seems easier to come up with different ways for spies and diplomats to approach situations, but I'll be disappointed if Cullen's idea is to send open troops every time.

Issue an ultimatum to the King of Nevarra to hand over the mage?

Take an important Nevarran hostage and exchange them for the mage? (That'd be a good idea.)

Exchange the mage for something else the Nevarrans want?

I agree, although I will play human, I really hope that Cullen towers above my pc, all protective of her, "you'll have to go through ME first!" .

I'm kind if freaking out at that "thing" that's been named Mr Blinky, geez the horror of it   appearances can be deceiving I suppose, according to Dev, Mr Blinky likes pottery lol. People are saying that's all eyes on it -shudders-.  Its Hawke that's in the screenie with it, that's not really a good plan, my Hawke will run away to safety and let the rest of the gang take the pain lol. She didn't cope well with what we believed were giant spiders in DA2, that thing takes the biscuit lol. It's like Orsino on steroids, nasty!

Update on my replay of DA:O!

 

I managed to navigate the dialogue options so that my Amell is never once nasty to Jowan when she releases him from that prison! Which is damn good, because I never rped her as angry with him but always had to take at least one dialogue option that sounded suspicious, but NOT THIS TIME!  \ o /

 

I probably should have found that long before now, but whatever.

I've played mage origin a few times only, never followed through with the pt's though so mages never meet Jowan in Redcliffe. Other origins always set him free to leave although he never has. I assume his dialogue would be vastly different when meeting his mage "friend" though, I might finally push a mage through the game. We have plenty of time before November

My 'main' canon is Amell, just because it gives me cousin feels. Just the idea that they were both in Lothering at the same time, so CLOSE to meeting, but nope...! And then them both disappearing and maybe they'll meet in DAI~~

 

I like being mean to my protags, if this isn't obvious by now. I look forward to how much the plot will batter the hell out of my Inquisitors.

I believe to make Jowan run, you have to really push the "get out of here. I don't want to see your face around here ever again" thing.

I just thought how funny and awkward it would be if Cullen will be fanboying over Quizzy, because she's The Herald of Andraste  And you try to flirt with him, and he's like, "B-but you must be revered, you can't just s-say things about my... backside!" And you will have to convince him you can be touched, lol. I just find this idea hilarious.

I read in the Varric thread that today was it info wise until pax. Has anyone here read that or have reliable confirmation? If its indeed true I will be very sad. I will begin preparing for another info dry spell.

I don't think we have confirmation of anything, since I doubt the devs are talking about anything other than gamescom right now. But... I also wouldn't call 15 days a dry spell. I think the new trailer can tide us over for quite a while...

Totally off topic... but I'm on a rollercoaster of feels with Tomb Raider. Exclusive. Boo. Timed exclusive. Yay. Insulting 'we did it all for the money' note from devs. Boo.

I think the "Herald of Andraste" is from the demo, the Avvar boss calls the inquisitor that. Cullen just refers to us as "The Herald". There's also some speculation that the glowy figure in the trailer is Andraste.

There's a eurogamer article where they interview the xbox dude, and he's the one who implies it's timed. He says it's not my decision. not my property. but yeah, our deal has a "duration" to it. not telling the duration. So nothing, as far as I can see, from the TR folk. Boo.

Lol, so cute & true.

It would be so weird having our warden there when you think of it, everybody yelling, loads of battle tactics etc being shouted out, lots of drama and Warden is all like ".............".

 

Or alternatively, the battle cinematics are playing out, Cullen shouting orders, companions responding with sound, Warden gets a special wee dialogue wheel pops up, chose and option and the dialogue appears along the top of the screen
