It's definitely not an horse. The horns are a bit different from the hallas we saw in the previous games, but it could be one.Shields and backpacks

Halla or horse?
OH yeah! And the reason I came back to the thread. *squee* new Jhourney art!!
Cullen by Jhourney (linked because slightly NSFW)
I must say that this is a brilliant study in light and shadow. ![]()
This game looks absolutely gorgeous. It's so frustrating we need to wait another 6 months or so before we get to experience, but I'm sure it'll be worth it (especially seeing Cullen all the characters on the new engine) ![]()

Indeed.Could be a younger Halla Whose horns aren't that big yet
I'm going with Halla, too. Is that Skyhold in the distance, just from a different angle? Maybe in the summer?
Oh, shipping? Man, I ship things hard. For Harry Potter: Harry/Luna, Hermione/Victor, Snape/Lupin (don't judge me). I dunno, it just seems natural to do so.
Back to Cullen.
I think the guys heading toward the Skyhold could be templars, but I think the argument could be made that it could be any armed force. It could be the Inquisitor's actual military force. If you remember from the few videos we've been shown, the make-up of the Inquisitor's army kinda looks like what those guys are wearing. It is concept art, and concept art is done way at the beginning of making these games, right?
Indeed.
Though I have to say that I'm more interested in seeing our main base than the various mounts. I'd like if they'll show it soon/at E3.
Good grief, at this rate my ignore list is going to be as long as my arm!
I was thinking along the same lines. I had intended to never use it, but I have quite a healthy list going... ![]()
Yup, it's the same castle shown in the 'A new home' concept.I'm going with Halla, too. Is that Skyhold in the distance, just from a different angle? Maybe in the summer?
I don't think mabari would be mounts, but it'd be awesome to have a one for the dwarfYa me too but seeing the types of mounts we would get would be interesting as well, all I see is a dwarf on a mabari

This does raise some interesting questions. I'd always looked at that pic and assumed all these people were traveling together. It could be just as likely, though, that our party and that band of soldiers (Templars, rebels, whatever) are traveling separately and this art captures the moment when the Inquisitor first lays eyes on Cullen. Hmmmmm. ![]()

I think they're headed toward Skyhold (which sucks for them because that place seems to be a ways off, or really small), it's under whose banner do they march is my question. Obviously, they're either on our side or neutral, because they aren't taking up arms when they spot the Inquisitor. I can see how some would look at the tiny waving guy and get Cullen--it looks like he's got that same poofy neck-thing as his survy concept art, and the red coat/jacket on him goes further down than it appears to on the others, like in the survey concept art. But he's so tiny! It's hard for me to be sure.

Hmm,It kinda looked like a donkey to me the first time I saw it...Although by the size I'd say it's probably a Halla with trimmed horns? ![]()

It looks a little like a reindeer to me. And halla look a lot like them, too, so.
In regards to the horns; aren't halla horns shaped overtime by their handlers? So this one's could've been shaped to be smaller, and thus easier for a rider to see where they were going.

I'm not sure it's Cullen either, but at the same time, it was my initial gut reaction when I first saw this pic, so I'm going with it until proven wrong. ![]()

I admit, it is really cute to think that tiny!Cullen is waving at the Inquisitor, all excited. ![]()

You're probably right, besides I think a younger Halla will have smaller horns.Although to be honest,I was kind of hoping our Halla mount(provided that we'll get one),will be as majestic as Thranduil's stag. ![]()

*SWAG SNIP*
Impossible. Nothing can ever be as majestic as Thranduil's swag-stag.

He's saying "Hi honey! We'll have the keep cleaned up for you by the time you get home." And those other little people are the Maid Brigade. ![]()

Do we know if companions get mounts yet? Imagine it, our dashing templar on his magnificent white steed. It will be glorious. ![]()

Nah, I'm banking on Cullen's mount being Fluttershy.
