Hard to say in a world with so much magic. But could be. Hell, Templar abilities are a form of magic, so I suppose I should expect other branches of the Chantry to find ways of justifying its use as well. Like they already do in the eternal flames in each chantry.I had always theorized that maybe some of the Grand Clerics or the Divine had access to magic.

Hell, those Red Templars were shooting magic at those poor villagers, LOL!

Hey what's going on? I haven't been able to keep up with this thread after the EA press conference. Have you guys figured something awesome out? (except that Cullen def has a wittle piggy nose - stating the obvious)
Also, Don't know if this has been said before (since I haven't kept up). But I don't think Solas is "grabbing" the Inquisitors hand. I think he is already holding on to it, pushing it upwards towards the rip. Is he lending his power? Teaching the Inquisitor to deal with the fade rip? Maybe I am seeing this wrong?

I know I'll either be human or an elf because those two races will be the easiest to try and recreate myself in.
I don't personally make myself so I get the task of deciding what character idea I want to be my very first experience in game. I thought I knew. I thought I was ready. I am so very, very not ready.
I think it will either be my human male rogue who will hopefully romance Dorian, a human female rogue who will romance Cullen, or a dwarf female rogue who will hopefully romance Cullen, or a female mage qunari who will.... hopefully romance Cullen. ![]()
Or a female human mage. Hmm..
Sh!t. ![]()

She talks about standing on a peak as darkness envelops the world around her then falling into it herself. I don't think it's directly relevant, (unless she's the Andraste/Justinia/Disco Ball), but she could bring it up if she tries to convince Cassandra to be lenient or let us go when we're first imprisoned.

On Solas, that's also what I figured. The Fade expert is helping us use our magic hand.Hey what's going on? I haven't been able to keep up with this thread after the EA press conference. On Cullen, just that he does wear his sword of mercy flappy thing from the leaked survey at one point. So it muddies the Templar waters a bit.

I interpreted it as him teaching us how our power works and what we're capable of. If I'm right, it probably means we get him relatively early.

She does.
*Snip*
Gosh, she could well have been dreaming about the events of DAI. Like, the single red rose, that could have been a representation of the Inquisitor being the soul survivor in the blast. That's really interesting! Still, had Leliana not joined the Warden she may not have gone on to be the Divine's left or right hand (I forget which), meaning that she wouldn't have been part of the Inquisition. Sounds like the whole thing was a sign from the Maker or whatever that she is important in the survival of Thedas.

That's how I interpreted it too. Doesn't look like the Inquisitor is injured or struggling to stand or anything, so he's not doing it to hold the Inquisitor up to aid her/him in closing it. Seems like he's teaching her/him on a whim or something.

Would be cool if the companions of the same gender/race did have varying heights though, rather than the same default body.
I remember hearing companions will have unique body types

That makes way more sense. At first I thought Solas was forcing the Inquisitor to close it.
Solas: "You will close this fade tear, you little sh!t."
Inquistor: "I don't wanna--!"

You all need to be like Traynor in ME3 and get yourselves a wee Thedas map and notch it everytime "you analyse the crap" out of some data
it's a amazing for sure lol.
I'm thinking Solas is guiding your hand, I would imagine in the immediate aftermath of gaining the hand thing, you're going to be a tad unsure and I know my quizzy will be scared of what it is/does. It's as if he is showing you "like this, see?" pretty sweet!

Makes sense. Dorian's shorter than the male human, I believe, and Bull is a bit bigger than a male Qunari. Both Solas and Sera look very, very tall.

I like your theory about the single red rose/sole survivor-- to take it further, apparently the rose bush it blossomed from was believed to have been completely dead, and yet, there it was. And it blossomed at just the right time, and just the right place, because if it hadn't, would Leliana have taken her dream seriously? She interpreted the rose as a sign from the Maker, didn't she? And like you said, if she hadn't taken her dream seriously, then she may not have joined the Warden, and then she may not have become the Divine's left hand, and so on and so forth...

If Bioware supports the animanga 'height rule' trope when it comes to male/male pairs, I'mma be irritated. ![]()

I do have a theory that the Black City was really a prison

Then I shall start hoping that Sera is taller than the elven female Inquisitor. And seek my terrible vengeance if she's not.
