Do we know if companions get mounts yet? Imagine it, our dashing templar on his magnificent white steed. It will be glorious.
I totally read that in King Cailan's voice! ![]()

Nah, I'm banking on Cullen's mount being Fluttershy.
Is it sad that I can actually see that? ![]()
We don't know yet.
If companions won't have mounts, the Inquisitor should be ready to travel from Ferelden to Orlais on foot.
Thanks for the reply
and it would be rather annoying if our Inquisitor is a few good miles ahead all the time haha. I was always leaving my follower behind in Skyrim.

Hopefully they will, otherwise I suspect we'll miss the banter and important location hints if our followers can't keep with us or worse magically disappear...

I really don't see many parallels between Casandra or Cullen. I mean, Casandra doesn't even wear a skirt.
Ok. I admit, I snicker-snorted at this. Lola and R2 brought up some good points about Cassandra's personality versus Cullen that I had forgotten. I still see them as quite similar, but I must agree that Cass is more volatile in temperament. I was primarily thinking of how Cullen seems when he's doing his job and encountering suspect characters when comparing them. But overall, his personality seems less quick to rile; that I agree with. Whereas it seems to be that Cass's temper is always waiting to burn. I do see them both as usually professional and detached and distrustful and giving no quarter in the performance of their duties. As well, I see them as almost wholly dedicated to their duties with little in the way of personal investments. But that's me. ![]()
Cullen has to be exceptionally well written to even exist in DA:I and be relevant.
I mean they retconned him from DAO just because of the fangirls and now he is a romance options due to fangirls as well.
If he isn't..well I hope there is an option to use NPCs as bait for demons and dragons...Cullen will be the first one my Inquisitor uses.
I thought Cullen was a sad case, needing to be put out of his misery at the conclusion of DAO. It wasn't until his actions in DA2 and the retcon of those slides that I started to see him differently. So I hardly think he was retconned because the fans wanted it. And if he is in DA:I as fanservice then I don't want him. As a creative person, I can't see how the devs - as creative people - would want to include him for fanservice. Considering everything Cullen has been a part of and what's going on in the next game, he has reasons that could apply to him being there. He just also happens to have fans. I think if he had a different name and face, you wouldn't care.
Now, this is the Cullen discussion thread; not the Cullen fans discussion thread. So what is it about Cullen you don't like?
If including him in your party or game is optional, you have nothing to worry about. If he's an NPC, there's likely nothing you can do. Either way: pointless.
Who posted that? David Gaider has repeatedly stated that he will not bring a character back for fan service, they have to fit the story. I don't see a name, but whomever posted that sounds like someone who doesn't pay attention very well.
Some user called The Sin, a few pages back, came in here and started bleating about Cullen being fanservice. I smell a troll but just in case there was an intelligent opinion behind the frothing, I wanted to know.
I don't know why you can't see the name, though. Might you have them on your ignore list?
Morning Kit. ![]()

I think that's the best way to deal with suspected trolls. Offer a neutral-toned and polite answer, invite intelligent conversation. If the response is still confrontational, then ignore and move on.
Good morning, good afternoon, good evening, and good night to Cullenites around the world! ![]()
I'm still working on my drawing, folks. Working on blocking stuff in and added floof.

Ahh! You add the floof!
Oh, this is fantastic.
I'm loving the discussions here about Cullen's personality, especially compared and contrasted with Cassandra's. I'm kind of excited to see how or whether those two get along. I'm sorry I'm going to miss much of this-I have family stuff this evening, and whatnot.
I do want to say that I almost have the Cullen-centric shortbread recipe polished and ready to go. I think one more batch to test something, and then I'll get it ready for the 1000 pg celebration. I'm just sorry we can't have a *real* celebration so I can just make a bunch and bring them! *grin* instead, I'll have to be content with ya'll baking them for yourselves. ![]()

Oooh, I like that! He looks very similar to my Hawke! And Cullen looks hot as hell, but then, he always does!
Not gonna lie. He looks f*cking hot.

I have to post this picture again!

Over in the other Cullen thread, someone had mentioned that the people going over the hill towards "Skyhold" looked like Templars with shields on their backs. And we all know the guy waving is Cullen.
So, if that's true, do you think Cullen is bringing his Templars from Kirkwall? What if Keran and his sister are amongst them? Or Hugh? He said he was made a pariah for speaking out against Meredith. I'd actually like to see them again in Inquisition.
Wait, do we KNOW it's Cullen, as in a Dev confirmed it, or do we just suspect? Because.... How can you tell? *squints*
It's just a guess cause it looks a tad like him.

It's the fur collar. *nods* Has to be him.
lol!
