For the most part, I think they are retconned. But I guess it depends on the events that occur in the game. Hopefully, there is a third option that carries on with Knight Commander where he rules fairly.

Having been gone for the last week, I finally got the chance to see the new trailer. And when Cullen said "For your lives, for all of us!", I heard "For you wives, for all of us!"
Not gonna lie, my first thought was, "Wow, either there are no women in his army, or Thedas is more progressive than I thought."

@Mike_Laidlaw I noticed a timer for some of the war table missions. Is it gonna be real time? Or is it faster than real time?
Mike Laidlaw @Mike_Laidlaw 7m
The war table is real time, but there are ways in the game to speed it up. Those was are NOT "money", before anyone asks.

I hadn't noticed the timer thing, good catch!
Neither had I. Is there a picture for it?

Probably. It's underneath the picture of the Serpent of Nevarra mission, once you click on Josie to assign her to the mission.Neither had I. Is there a picture for it?

Josie's said 4:00:00 and Leli's said 3:12:00 (I think off the top of my head). My speculation of that tweet is:
1) Perks for Inquisition power to speed up the time taken for missions by advisors/scouts/agents (This is my optimal GIMME one)
2) Certain side missions lower the time required for other missions (Im ok with this one, but it can be complicated figuring out the min/max for it and I am a min/maxxer >.> )
3) Multiplayer missions to lower time required for side missions in game (Id really not like this, if there is even MP in the game)
I noticed in another video (Ill find it) where when going over Cullens, there was no time listed, or I just missed it because Cullen...
Edited: On the IGN extended gameplay that released today, at the very beginning, they send Josie out to a mission, and then go to a different mission wherein they choose Cullen, and it only says Power Cost: 4, however it also says that for Leli, so (assumption) it's a different type of mission?

Well that's good to know! So I can have them do a long mission during the night or when I am at work. ![]()

Anywho, this is the real important bit:
[DA]: In any story of good and evil, you have to have a powerful foe to stand in the hero's way. How would you describe the "Elder One" from Dragon Age: Inquisition in one word?
[DG]: Relentless.
[SF]: Let's go with "ambitious."
[LK]: Arrogance. Not "arrogant"—that's somehow not enough. He has a confidence born of absolute certainty that in his estimation no others can comprehend. He will do what needs be done.
Sounds like we really are facing some sort of god level deity creature.

I just noticed in the video, Templars dropping to their knees. Maybe in reverence to the PC as the herald and I was just thinking how weird it could be for a circle mage. For most of their lives they have been under the control and at the mercy of templars and now the templars are bowing and worshipping the ground they walk on so to speak.
Also there is a building that looks like it's being raised, could that be Arlathan being risen?

Yes....they shall worship me as their new god!!!!!!!! ALL SHALL LOVE ME AND DESPAIR.

I thought the building was falling, not rising...and I don't think Arlathan is going to be raised again from the earth.

Also, when Cullen orders the Inquisition soldiers to "go with the herald", behind him you can see one of them with a Templar shield. Dunno if that's just one of the many Kirkwall Templars that he had join him when he was recruited into the Inquisition, or if that particular inquisitor in the trailer had chosen to side with the Templars and thus they were working with us.I just noticed in the video, Templars dropping to their knees.
