I would hope so. Haven't they said something about how you'll actually get to state your religious views if you like?

There was a point in the demo where you free the soldiers from the prison and they call you something, too, but I couldn't catch it. I can only assume it was also "herald"?

OK... I guess the freed prisoner woman says, "Herald of Andraste!" ... and then "yes, your Worship."

Heh. If Cullen calls me your Worship???

Hey, Your Worship, I'm only trying to help.
Would you please stop calling me that?
Sure, Trev.
You make it so difficult sometimes.
I do, I really do.

They redesigned the 'regular' templar armor. These are the same dudes you fight in the E3 demo, and they're called "templar" not red templar.

Okay. The templars have really uped their style since DA2. And here, I thought Meredith was the only templar with a sense of style.

Kinda too bad actually... I was hoping this one was like a mohawk.

The other minor thing I noticed... they spell it "advisers." That's gonna drive me batty.

Is that really an early concept for him? o.o

Btw, Kaibe, I love your icon. <3

Nah, that art was of some other guy.

And thanks! The art is by Anna Ignatieva!

I could have sworn that the devs said, in the big Q and A session a while back that you would be referred to by your last name, didn't they? I will have to look it up.

They did. I reckon they'll just mix it up.

Just watched today's demo. It's too bad we weren't able to hear anyone's voices :( I remain convinced that the avaar are not entirely human, or are simply giant humans because that guy was at least a foot taller than Trevalyan. It was fun following Cole around for a bit... he looks really cute lol I also like how Cam Lee dressed very "Euro"... very Gamescon appropriate

For me, every time we see Cullen in-game he just gets more and more attractive lol. I wonder if he'll be in any gameplay features videos in the near future.

For those of us who were making a visual of our characters, the Sims released a CC demo today http://help.ea.com/e...a-sim-cas-demo/

It says you can share via facebook or their gallery (I'm sure a screen shot would do for here, too) but it looks huge so I can't download and verify for about a week.

So anyway... longest day ever. Feel so dead. But I know I missed a demo (http://www.ign.com/v...e-gamescom-2014), demo write-up (http://everythingdragonage.tumblr.com/post/94831801554/my-da-i-gameplay-experience-gamescom), and something eluvianix just posted (http://www.dragonage.com/#!/en_US/news/writing-villains). Anything else?

There's been a ton of articles to come out and a second demo write up. I've linked articles, the writeups, Eric's vids etc here. There's also 3 pages of screenshots.

I honestly didn't like Cullen at first, but I was intrigued that he fell in love with the female Mage Warden. Then, when I saw him in Dragon Age 2, I began to really like him. He grew on me to the point I wanted him to be in the third as a companion...and love interest if possible. :P Well least we got the latter and being an advisor is pretty neat.

I've had access to this for awhile but haven't really played around in it too much... I think if you had sims 3 it was released awhile back but can't remember.

One thing I did like about it, is the click and drag feature which allows a little more customisation. You can do things like pick a style of walking as well.

I like the CC so if you can, might be worth a play.

I personally really, really hope Cullen doesn't believe us the herald or something like that. I will nope so hard and fast out of that romance if he does, especially if it feels... well, it just feels a lot like rape. What reason would he have to say no if a herald of his religion comes on to him? There's just a possibility for a lot of unpleasant implications, and I really hope it doesn't turn out that way.

It will just seem like that one moment in League of Extraordinary Gentleman, where Griffin raped Catholic school girls after he'd convinced them he was the Holy Ghost.

Noooo thank you. 500% no thank you.

I don't think the writers would make it come across that way, mind. I just hope it doesn't feel that way to me when I play, if he does believe we're some kind of herald.

I don't believe so either. While I am sure Cullen is a religious man, he is probably not the type to completely believe that the Inquisitor is Andraste or something. In fact, he might be wary of the Inquisitor until he/she proves themselves. Simply because of the Fade and what he witnessed for the past ten years.

I'm really hoping he's suspicious/wary too. If anything his experiences should have taught him to question things more, including the people behind the organisation of his religion and anyone people are calling a herald and the like.

Mouse said it best; careless trust, preconceptions are dangerous. Even outside the Fade.

Agreed. And with the development he has had so far, he isn't naïve like he was at the beginning of Origins, in the Mage Origin. So I think he will be wary, but he will call the Inquisitor "The Herald" for the soldiers. But I wouldn't doubt that with enough approval, he may believe that the Maker saved the Inquisitor to help save Thedas from the dark times they are in. But not to the point of blindly following him/her.

...Which is why I am still hoping that he calls your Inquisitor by your surname during the quiet moments :P Be awkward for him to be romanced and call her the Herald during a tender moment. XD

Yeah, I'm all over him calling the Inquisitor the Herald for the sake of the soldiers, and I have nothing against with him eventually believing the Maker saved us-- that's his religion, it would be weird if he didn't believe the Maker had a hand in saving someone he had come to care for. It'll only get skeevy if he believes we're Maker-sent and some kind of Herald or Andraste reborn or anything like that.

I'm expecting some endearments from the love interests too. Alistair used 'love' and 'dear' a lot, and it worked really well. It didn't come across as cheesy, because they're just intrusive but nice endearments/were handled maturely.

I think a lot would depend on what he thinks "herald" means. If he comes to believe that the quizzy is some sort of holy prophet/Andraste-figure, then yeah, it would be incredibly creepy. If he thinks it means the Maker/Andraste dumped a job on the quizzy simply because he or should could do the job, not because the quizzy is some sort of chosen holy figure. Herald really just means to announce something. But yes, it could be a tricky piece of writing to keep it from edging into something unpleasant.

Oh I am expecting Cullen to say things like that. ;) But here is to hoping he doesn't believe we are Andraste reborn!...Still believe it would be weird if he thinks that and we're anything but human...

Though a thought crossed my mind...with my Dalish Elf, I wondered if her clan would be dead. But then I get to think on the other races. So, in general, I wonder if our Inquisitor would face some type of personal loss (whether with family death, clan death, or something that is bad but not death), and your LI comes to comfort you?

@Dirgegun, I don't think he'll believe you're truly a divine figure. I think he'll take you as a sign of the Maker's grace, that your mark is meant to help people and save Thedas.

Oh yeah, I'm going in expecting that the writers didn't make anything skeevy. I was just voicing concerns over how it could appear if Cullen (or ANY of the LIs, really) see the Inquisitor as a divine figure/Maker-sent/Andraste reborn/an Andraste-like figure/Herald of some kind of religion...
