Strange feeling, isn't it! It's nice to see him animated doing something beyond standing in the gallows/circle tower or running around fighting and being angry lol!

I'm also looking forward to him caring for "his men." Something about the camaraderie of the men in that quest wanting to go look for their own. I like that that's how the Cullen method would do it. ![]()

For sure! Already, in just the clip from the demo and based on the interview with his writer it certainly seems like he cares a lot about his troops. He certainly seems to know how to keep their spirits up and the camaraderie alive.

Was just having a look in the "was that Andraste in the trailer?" thread and saw this post and that headpiece certainly matches up with the shape of Glowy McGlows headpiece.I think it was the divine. The contours of the form remind me of this image:

Assuming she'd still wear her hat as an otherwise naked spirit... ![]()
I think there are some nice arguments to be made for it being Justinia... but the hat argument has some... flaws. ![]()
So, here's my theory on how the advisors will work in terms of quests:
In that demo we saw that they can be used to go about quests in a certain way, right? I suspect that basically for the majority of the quests (particularly the side quests) we'll be doing pretty much what we saw happening in the demo where we pick from the cards who should deal with what/who's agents to send in to do stuff, thus unlocking the quest further for the Inquisitor to go in and do his/her thing. Then every now and again there will be plot heavy quests that require us to pick one of the 3 advisors to physically go out in the field with us, to which they'll either temporarily follow us as a non-playable npc, OR (more likely) meet us at the destination and join us briefly when there's a fight that's going to occur, still as a non-playable npc (like we saw in the E3 demo with Leliana). THEN there will be the advisor's personal quests, to which only that particular advisor can accompany you on, again either joining you as a non-playable npc or meeting us there.
And the rest of the time we'll be dossing around in the Skyhold doing whatever it is they do in there, during which we can go and pester them.
Assuming she'd still wear her hat as an otherwise naked spirit...

Oh, gosh yeah! Dunno why her spirit is naked except for the hat though, LOL! ... Filthy old lady!

I'm assuming she liked to keep herself in peak physical condition and after she gets
Spoileris like, "finally I get to show off the assets the Maker bestowed upon me! Yee hah!"
"BOOM! Check out these puppies! Look out Andraste, I'm comin' for your man!"

Not sure if you'll have seen it, but:
@Sylvf1: So @davidgaider , Luke Kristjanson and I did a Q&A about writing antagonistic characters. If you'd like a look: http://t.co/M6aGtFwax9
Thank you
. I haven't seen it before and I'm always struggeling with writing antagonists. I will have a look later but I'm sure that this will be very helpful
.
Did you have so much fun??
Let's say it was fifty percent work and fifty percent fun. I had a lot of appointments because I'm writing articles for a website. That's why I didn't manage to play any of the games in the public area. I wanted to play "The Order 1886" and one or two other games but there wasn't enough time. But my colleagues and I met several "smaller" developers which was really nice because they approach game development differently. For instance, we talked with Tale of Tales about their new project Sunset. The political situation in the 1970ies plays a big part here. I find it very interesting what sort of games you can make without a publisher and with crowdfunding.
I met Mahumia and she wore a lovely costume. We had a nice chat over some french fries
.
Tell us about ALL THE THINGS!
LOL. You know probably more than I do
. I did get to play DAI but since the time was very limited I only played a short part of the game and talked just briefly with the devs. I'm afraid there is not much to report. In the demo a dwarf tells your Inquisitor (female human) that soldiers of the Inquisition have been captured by the Avvars, barbarian hill people, and you are send on a rescue mission. Your companions are Blackwall, Solas and Cole. I didn't manage to rescue the soldiers in the 30 minutes I had but maybe I went into the wrong direction
. Not sure. Yes, I definitely got an open world feeling
. I came across one of the rifts though.
I played with an Xbox 360 controller but I *think* the game was on a PC. You can change between your characters with the pad that's below your left stick. With Button A you can jump and interact with stuff and buttons X,Y,B and the right shoulder one (?) are for abilities. I'm more used to a PC, so unfortunately I don't remember much of the controls. I believe you attack with either the left shoulder button or the left trigger. Anyway, the combats went really smoothly. No one in my party died which is a bit suspicious because I'm not exactly a hardcore gamer. I assume the demo was running on an easy difficulty but, again, I'm not sure.
Two things I found interesting:
1. The "herald" Cullen talked about in one of the trailers is your Inquisitor.
2. Other characters will call your Inquisitor "Inquisitor". It's like a military rank. I'm only pointing it out because we discussed last names at one point and wondered if your companions could call you Trevelyan or Lavallan.
And to keep this on topic: Cullen wasn't in it
.
So, there you go.
The game looks really, really good
. I'm only slightly worried that I get lost in the world but I guess we have to wait and see.

I admit I'm a little worried about the ability to get lost since my skill at that in normal games is a standing joke with my gaming partners and family. OTOH, I've found things in games no one else apparently knew was there.
Maybe she's just a hat person?
Lol, the stresses of her position has left her balding and she had always held a sort of pride in her once silken tresses. The thought of one seeing the now bareness of her scalp was a horrifying idea indeed.
Or it is some spirit/demon that has taken on a form that the Inquisitor would be more comfortable with (depending on race) to lure us into extending our hand.
LOL I now see the method to the HAT madness in DA:I! Hats for everybody!!!

OMG this sentence gives me palpitations!
Thanks so much for sharing! You might also enjoy the demo footage from Cam on IGN from yesterday which includes part of what you saw, apparently, but for your rewatching and rewatching pleasure. WITH Cullen.
It also includes the Herald of Andraste stuff.

Y'know, for quite a while there I was worried about how Cullen would turn out physically and whether he'd still feel and behave like him. I was also concerned that his romance arc would be lacking in comparison to the companions. But now that we've seen him fully animated and heard him talk a lot of those concerns have completely gone!
... I'm still curious about how his romance is gonna work, but I think that even if it's not quite as content heavy as the companions it's still going to be impactful enough for us to experience what he's like as a person and get a good understanding of what he's like when he's interested in, falling for, and in love with the Inquisitor.
I'm really looking forward to interacting with him in DAI!

OT, but:
MAKERS BALLS-- that Silent Hills playable teaser. I regret all my decisions to watch a playthrough of it.
some 80's music really makes me wince
Nonsense, this is genius!
