Two things I found interesting:
1. The "herald" Cullen talked about in one of the trailers is your Inquisitor.
2. Other characters will call your Inquisitor "Inquisitor". It's like a military rank. I'm only pointing it out because we discussed last names at one point and wondered if your companions could call you Trevelyan or Lavallan.
3 apparently if you go too far into the water you will die
4 the advisers will not be able to change clothing/armor only the followers
5 i asked if the advisers will be able to follow u on missions and the answer to that was : "depending on what decisions you make you will be able to see them in some missions"
6 more info about cc will come "soon" -the magic word
7 the UI for the actual mouse and keyboard is not yet ready
Y'know, for quite a while there I was worried about how Cullen would turn out physically and whether he'd still feel and behave like him. I was also concerned that his romance arc would be lacking in comparison to the companions. But now that we've seen him fully animated and heard him talk a lot of those concerns have completely gone!
... I'm still curious about how his romance is gonna work, but I think that even if it's not quite as content heavy as the companions it's still going to be impactful enough for us to experience what he's like as a person and get a good understanding of what he's like when he's interested in, falling for, and in love with the Inquisitor.
I'm really looking forward to interacting with him in DAI!
Agreed. I have a feeling the advisor romances will be a different kind of romance, compared to what we're used to with our companions, but I'm actually really excited to see how they are implemented.
And Cullen referring to our character as 'Herald of Andraste' intrigues me. Assuming he is still as devout as he was when we last saw him (I still wonder if this will be the case - it's impossible for me to guess at this point), I feel that he would not use the term lightly - even if he is using it as a rallying cry. So is it something he genuinely believes? And how will this affect our romance, or even a friendship with him for that matter?
I plan on romancing Cullen with a not-religious character. She will be very uncomfortable being seen as a holy figure - especially one relating to a religious belief she does not follow. I wonder how that will play out, and look forward to finding out.

Hey! Thanks for finding out about the clothing. You're the best. (Not the answer I wanted, obviously,
but at least now I know.)

(and, thanks so much for the info, Adela!)

I'd presume for at least that scene Cullen would turn up in some sort of casual outfit, even if it's just a basic NPC one that they've thrown on him.

I supppose I'm OK with him changing his own clothes. But darnit all, I wanted to take off the lion helmet and poof. ![]()
OT, but:
MAKERS BALLS-- that Silent Hills playable teaser. I regret all my decisions to watch a playthrough of it.
I was really excited to hear about this. Silent Hill and Norman Reedus - sold!! ![]()

Maybe that'll disappear during conversation scenes? Like the Inquisitor's helmet did when talking to the Avvar and Dwarf?

I'm sure you're right. They've always done that during cutscenes, even in DA:O. Ah well... getting used to the outfit. I just can't help but headcanon my Inquisitor poking fun at the poof and needling him to take it off... LOL

I'm really disappointed. I always thought that letting us change the advisers' clothes was probably a long shot, but I was hoping that maybe.....? Honestly, I would be happy with them changing their own clothes, like maybe they would have a casual outfit for downtime around the keep and the outfits we see them in now for missions and anything outside of Skyhold. But I guess not.
Now I only hope that love scenes are actually an exception, that Cullen will NOT be covered in all that material and those fluffy bits for those. ![]()

He can't be wearing it all the time though, in the trailer that first scene where he talks about killing the monster he's helmetless and that's not via a conversation so I dunno. Maybe he just likes to switch things up a bit?
Given everything, I'm sure they'll let us see his handsome mug quite a bit. Maybe they will do a adviser appearance pack DLC. They could give Cullen a mix of his DAO and DA2 Templar armor. Leliana could have her DAO concept armor. And, Josephine could have something new mixed with her jewelry from her concept art.

Though I would be laughing if he had sex with the Inquisitor with his armor on!

As someone who romanced Anders in almost every playthrough of DA2, I wish I could laugh this off as a "Yeah. Right." notion, but.....see, I'm not sure Anders ever took that robe off.

Oh

But thanks for all this info, Adela

I kinda watched my husband play through it late last night, but mostly I just kept a blanket over my head and NOPE'd every time hubs tried to get me to look.
Reaction video:
*catches up with thread* Watching DA FAN's reaction vid got me more hyped for this game than when my husband and I watched just the trailer itself...and we were both pretty dang excited then! So kudos, DA FAN, it was incredibly fun watching you react to the trailer.
It has been interesting to read about people's relationships and DA. I feel very lucky that my husband and I both enjoy the series equally, but sometimes in differing ways. We tend to combine our playthroughs in a somewhat complementary way- if a game has romance in it, we choose different LIs so that we can see how the relationships play out when we watch each other play. I remember well his Brosca romancing Zevran, while I romanced Alistair. My husband was almost obnoxiously convinced that he had the better catch, complaining that Alistair, though charming, was boyish and obstinate, especially compared to the worldly and jaded Zev. The irony, of course, is that Alistair reminded me a lot of my husband. D'oh!

He didn`t
.... (disappointing but it sure didn`t stop me from romancing him in 90% of my playthroughs
)

That would be one way to get around it, for sure!
