Elke is right. I'm pronouncing Sasani as Sass-AH-ni.
Thanks! Sass-AH-ni was my second choice.

I like these backgrounds a lot. I only really have a vague plan for a human female rogue as I'd like to wait and see how the game unfolds before I make up a more elaborate personality for her. I don't want to be disappointed in the options I'm given.
That said - I'd say Jenna Trevelyan is, at her core, an armed version of Maria von Trapp.
I did little tweak for my quizzy's backstories. Skye Adaar's was hardest since she's such sweet girl who doesn't fit into mercenary group at all XD For my human warrior/rogue (still not decided) Michal the backstory was even better I was thinking. I wanted Tamarin and Valpur to be out of Dalish clan and mercenary group in time of Inquisition but not so big changes there either.
I just hoped that Skye would have been circle mage. She's very promage and wants to see mages freed, being part of mercenary group doesn't give her similar experience and drive than circle mage has. Also I think that would have been intresting for her planned romance with Cullen. Now she needs to speak from outsider point of view instead of knowing exactly what's wrong with Circles and templars in Thedas and how they should be reformed.
Anyways this is new story for her
:
"Skye has been with mercenary group since she was little. She doesn't care about their work for much and spends most of her time searching herbs in forest and mastering her healing and supporting spells. She doesn't enjoy life of mercenary but doesn't know where else she could go. Templars would hunt her down for sure if she was alone without protection of the guild. Surrending herself to Circle sounds hollow as well, she loves sky and nature too much to be locked up for eternity. "
I think I'm good to go with my quizzys now ^^ I'm just little worried of race-gating at this point.. hopefully Skye will have Cullen ^^
EDIT for TOP:

Oh!
Skye is your character, of course, but an idea that might work with the mercenary background, unless Bioware says completely different:
Maybe the mercenary band 'saved' her from the Templars who had found her and were either going to take her back to a circle or kill her (because qunari and prejudices run deep). While the mercenary group treated her well enough, it was obvious they saved her because of how useful she would be (and possibly because she was a qunari like them, if the band is made up of Tal-Vasoth.)
Maybe that made her feel indebted to them? If not, then maybe they held that debt over her head/promised that she would remain out of Chantry hands with them? Thus making sure she couldn't simply leave, even though mercenary work isn't really her 'thing'.
If she's a healer, then at least she could say that she's not partaking in the violence so much as keeping these people alive?
Just ideas!

Yea I guess she will be more in backlines than killing people ^^ It's just not her style. Maybe her parents were part of group.. that'd explain why she's with them at least still although her parents probaply have died ![]()

Great vid, Lola! Loved listening to your speculations.
Thanks!
I head-cannoned Anais to be from a farming family or a noble family - I hoped she would be noble, though. XD But the Trevelyans being dedicated to the Chantry is an awesome coincidence. XD
What is your Inquistor/s' views on the Chantry and Maker?
Anais and her religion aren't exactly on good terms.
When she was a child she was taught that magic was bad, and mages were guaranteed to become abominations if pushed into a corner. When her magical abilities surfaced, Anais was terrified. It was months before she came to terms with the fact that she cannot simply wish or pray her magic away. She viewed magic as a curse for a long time until her mentors taught her otherwise. Later Anais grew to be proud of her magic.
As with other Circles, I imagine, there is a room dedicated to worship. In my headcanon, all the mages and apprentices were made to attend daily sermons in a cold, gaudy, severe-looking Chantry. Anyone who spoke out of turn or expressed disbelief was punished. Anais' best friend at the time stood up at one time, calling out the Sisters and Mother for using the Chant for their own ends. Anais shoved him aside before the Templar's fist met its mark - it connected with the bridge of her nose, breaking it and leaving a jagged scar.
How are they going to react to be thrown into the position of power?
Utterly terrified. While she gained quite the following during the war thanks to her belief in mercy for both sides, she never considered herself a leader even though she possesses the skills. Anais is afraid she will screw up, or lose control of herself - her Chantry teachings remain at the back of her mind, and they say any mage in a position of power will take advantage of it. While she tries to ignore it, the fear is still there.
If given the chance to grab something before having to leave, what could your quizzy not be without?
The necklace bearing the Trevelyan heraldry. For a long time she and her parents did not converse, but before everything fell apart thanks to the war her mother sent the necklace through a templar whom regularly smuggled things in for mages. At first Anais was infuriated - how dare they make contact with her now when they could have tried to make things better before? But it was the first thing she grabbed before leaving Ostwick's Circle.
What is the worst thing that could happen in very early game that would throw your backstory for a loop?
If I cannot choose the scar that goes across Anais' nose. XD I have unfortunately become rather attached to that design idea, and I am sure I am setting myself up for disappointment.
Anything else I can change with no issue. ![]()

If choose elf as my race can I remove my dalish tattoos?
No, but you can make them pretty faint.
So it looks like elves will have tattoos. I am happy they are sticking to lore! Though I hope there are tons of options to choose from. : P
Also, adorable Cullen! By EveryDA-I

"There'll be more pain this time, the Elder One still comes."

I'll stop one day. Today is not that day. ![]()
Thanks Lola, that was fun!
OK, so am I the only one who loved being able to put facial tattoos on her female wardens, lol? I even put them on my human nobles, just fainter.
Ah, so it's what I thought! They're using 'Tal-Vashoth' for people not as embroiled in the lore/because that's what people outside the Qun recognise as non-Qun-following-qunari?
