Also, she'll wonder how anyone is not going to notice all the tattoos?

I mentioned this on another thread. Why would they have to hide the vallaslin? Why would it be a big problem? We have seen city elves with vallaslin, who used to be Dalish. They lived among humans without alarm. No one thought them spies. Plus, some people like Zevran have regular tattoos on their face - most humans wouldn't know the difference. As long as they act and dress like city elves, they'll look like city elves.

The more, the better imo.  The information is great, but the best part is hearing your personal take on it.  B)

Hmm, I'm thinking about the background information more, and the human mage staying in Ostwick struck me as having a huge amount of potential for flexibility. The description of the Trevelyan family for the rogue/warrior mentions a lot of the relatives in the chantry and the Templars, the very people who guarded the mage circles. So, you've seen that Templar uniform your whole life on relatives, would being taken to the tower have been nearly as scary, assuming the entire family didn't go nuclear because you had magic? You arrive at the tower, and there's Uncle Bob watching a beginner's class, and Cousin Sophia at the front doors. How would other apprentices and the senior mages have reacted to you being related to the same people guarding you (potential for serious outcast status there, or teacher's pet because someone wanted to curry favor with relatives)? Were some of your family still friendly and sending messages and things through the relatives guarding the circle? Or if they reacted badly, were you treated worse by the Templars in the tower? And when the mages rebelled, did you find yourself directly facing relatives and how much would the mages have trusted a Templar-related mage?

And servants are pretty invisible, though I'm not sure how well a Dalish with little contact with human society would be able to pretend that cowed role.

I could see if I could get 'em, but the site doesn't even work for me. Someone's ballsed up the coding on that thing something fierce. D:

Did you guys see that the elven defence bonus applies to both regular and magical ranged attacks? Doesn't that just mean that the dwarven bonus is far less effective than the elven one? :?

My first pt is with a human mage.  She isn't pro templar but she isn't anti circle either. She would like mages to be treated like any one else and have the freedom to go with it but she knows it would never happen so she has tried to make living in the circle bearable. She would have been one to be fighting to make life in the circle easier and felt things needed to change. She believes the circle in theory to be the best and safest place for mages to come together and share what they learn and just be somewhere that she isn't alone and have others that know what its like to be what she is.

She would hope for a resolution to the peace treaty and would be hoping the circles could be re-established as places of learning and security instead of prisons.

My dalish is not one for living in the past and is always looking for an excuse to get out of camp and venture as close to human territory as she dared, just to learn more about them. She has been brought up on the horror stories of what happened but for the rare encounters she has seen with humans they have not always been bad. She respects her peoples history and gods. She just feels they need to move forward. Give the humans a chance and try to show them, the elves aren't the violent vagrants they are made out to be. So when she was sent to spy on the conclave she was eager as she wanted to see what all the fuss was about and how these humans would deal with it.

I didn't, but I wonder if it's only projectile-like magic, though?

It would such magorly if they've sort of given the dwaves the shaft like that. :(

I wish the females didn't get so... slimmed down. I mean those noodlely arms look like mine and I sure as hell couldn't left a huge sword or shield for very long.

Also those white fingers, man. I hope they fix that. I mean it looks like those gloves are fingerless? If that's the case, they're having that 'fingers don't match the skin tone' issue again.

Unlikely. Magic is magic, regardless of how it's delivered. The elven bonus probably just applies to arrows/bolts/spears/etc. Unless it's a dodge bonus? Dwarves can tank magic but Elves are good at leaping out the way? Then again, magic might work like a homing projectile...

I recall seeing it in a tweet. Let me see if I can find it.

So possibly just things like enchanted arrows?

Ah, okay! Magical projectiles make it a little less unfair to dwarves. And I guess it makes sense. There's probably more mages/demons that use magic in the game than arches, so that evens out how often that racial ability will see use.

I hope they fix the noodly arms. The female elf's arms look like they would break like a twig if you put any pressure at all on them.

I really like the male Qunari's legs, though. They're enormous!

It still seems a little skewed to me since surely the majority of magical damage we take will be ranged? Ah well, we'll see when the game comes out if Varric dies more often than Sera!

Now I want to a scene where the Inquisitor and Iron Bull are having a 'fruit smashing' contest in Skyhold's tavern.

He specified magical projectiles, though. While most magic is ranged, it's not necessarily a 'projectile'. :)

Welcome Endless :) I was a lurker until pretty recently, I de-lurked and I'm glad I did, it's downright cosy in here! I didn't get cookies though, although I helped myself lol.

Power company have been in the street since yesterday "fixing a fault", dammit my power was alright, it only started getting faulty when they started "fixing" it. So it's been on and off, on and off, they left it off and went for a sandwich grrrrrrr. Anyways it's on again now, hopefully they have fixed it for reals this time lol.

My quizzy wants peace, she doesn't want to be at the peace talks though, too many people but she definately wants peace. She knows however that for peace to be achieved there is likely to be lots of shouting, fighting etc and she wants to hide away from that (little does she know lol).

Cullens nose looks really good peeking out from that helmet, its the first time I've seen it and not thought it looked a little weird. I'm not sure what I make of the helmet though, it looks good but almost gargoylish (if that's even a word).

It better be soft stubble he has though, my quizzy doesn't want a rash after a smooch!

The eye for details you guys have is incredible, I nearly spat my coffee out about the frowny face on the sword handle! brilliant!!

Takes me all my time to notice something that hits me square in the mush, details aren't my strong suit atall lol.
