I still have to wonder what this means for the PC interface though.
I think PC will be fine, but this...is gonna take some getting use to for console players.

Re:
"I'm Twitter-Challenged, but would somebody mind firing off a tweet at Mike about the combat Q&A and ask if we can still access our abilities through the radial menu (aka not just 8 that are mapped to the face buttons)? "
Mike Laidlaw @Mike_Laidlaw
Nope, but you can change them up in the field.
Well...fudge.
Ouch, Well, that puts a serious damper on my intention to play Inquisition on PC with a controller.
Hmm, as someone who has never played on a modern console, I'm ignorant and curious. Does this mean console players had to pause and access a menu to use abilities over number 8? And now they can only use 8?

Yeah
and it was only six actually.
Thanks for the reply and the correction
I was going by a post that mentioned 8 upthread. And wow, I use so many abilities *huggles long ability bar*
... reload .... reload ...
I just know that at some point I'll be stuck right before a boss fight with ridiculously low health, no health potions, no healer and no way to turn back.
I got into Dragon Age on PS3 and beat both games multiple times before I switched to PC.
I was so accustomed to only having six spells/skills to work with at a time that all those hotkeys were a little overwhelming! ![]()
Help me guys, for my first playthrough I don't know whether to play as a human or a Qunari. Which race should I play?
Well, that's strangeRe:

Whichever one strikes your fancy! Maybe wait until you see the CC? Maybe then one will just 'click' and you'll instantly know?
If you plan to play a mage, though, I think human might be better first time around? MAYBE. If you want to see all the mage reactivity, anyway, because it's possible some of the mage reactivity will be overwritten by race reactivity.
Finally read the interview and I'm sorry, I got completely distracted by double-bladed daggers. We had those before in DAII, but the animations didn't change. The animations change now, though! ANIMATION CHANGES. I am ridiculously excited about this tiny little detail.
I always play on casual/easy mode, both DA games, I state its because I'm interested in the story only, truth is, tactically I am worse than useless. DA2 I once "ramped" up the difficulty to normal
and couldn't beat the first darkspawn just after meeting Aveline without a reload, sad but true, even on casual at least one of my team always dies to the High Dragon in Act3 ![]()
Gawds I really hope casual lets me just bash stuff, I always charge into trouble, I'm not a planner or a tactician lol If I understand correctly it does seem as though some of your party members will manage themselves tactically, or at least give me hints as to what I should be having them do.
I'll worry about that, I get no enjoyment from constantly being a pile of dead pixels, fingers crossed casual mode doesn't rely on tactics or I'm going to be right stuffed lol.

I'm playing Human only because its the race I'm more familiar with and can relate to easier.
Qunari will undoubtably be awesome but for me, it's too new to jump in and play first, I'll wait and see some feedback from others but obviously, thats just me
.

You know what excites me about these little details, is exactly that, the attention to detail that the time in development has allowed them to have.
I was looking through the media screenshots and some of the scenery ones honestly looked like real photos. The stone walls (dykes we call them) look fantastic, even down to mosses growing on them.
For me, if that much detail has been paid to the backgrounds and secondary things, my imagination is wild as to the detail on the main focuses there will be ![]()
I need this game, NOW lol.
*snip*
I need this game, NOW lol.
I'm so with you on that one!! I am so bored right now and seriously can't wait for this game!
Hmm, my favorite PC idea for Cullen can't be my second playthrough because it's too similar to my first game but I want to romance him 2nd
I guess I can use my other PC idea and romance him twice? Yeah, that will work.

Me too. I can't believe it's still 3 months left. I don't know how I'll be able to make it until then.
LOL Man, I can't even fathom being bored. I wonder if I could figure out how to crowd source everything I have to do with folks so you're not bored. That fanfic's not gonna write itself! ![]()
Speaking of fanfics, more Cullen for the page with my characters from Knight's Bloom from the inimitable MellorianJ.

If I remember right difficulty level of game changes little if you play as qunari. Not battles but interaction with NPC's and it'll be harder to build up your reputation and get people to respect you. I don't remember where this was said since it was long while ago though XD But if I remember right human comes from easiet position in that sense and would maybe be nicest when you play first time and don't know about stuff. But I will still start with qunari XD
So this one stresses me out...
I hate having to be that strategic...![]()

I'm going to suck at this game.
I'm going to go with the "delayed awesome" for you as well. (May be my new mantra... thanks SisterGoldring!)
I frickin' love tactics. It caters to my addiction to stratagem. I get such a rush when I feel like I've gotten the jump on an enemy. ![]()

Nothing wrong with re-playing a favorite, lol.
Sigh. Its the second last Friday of August. I wanna hope for the video today but I feel it already dwindling. Anyone know a Greg Ellis video ritual? I have one chicken
