Some did in the elven tattoo thread in the scuttlebutt section.
I'm Sorry for those guys. I was planning to put the tattoo regardless.
I'm a bit worried about how many mages' robes will make the arms skinnier though, since elves are already skinnier. Even the male one was too skinny. I hope most robes will be like the rogues and warriors armours, since I'm fine with how the arms looked in those cases.

I was a little disappointed because I still wasn't entirely sure if I was going to make my me!Inquisitor an Elf or a Human, and since I don't have facial tattoos I had planned to not have them and then just head canon that my Inquisitor didn't have much respect for her clan due to them being elitist towards every other race etc, lol. But it doesn't matter, it makes sense for them to have facial tattoos since it's their tradition.

Oh my god. Please tell me I am not the only one who JUST noticed the face in the trailer. I was too distracted to see it! xD I wonder where we are, then?

I know this is from a while ago, but I was rewatching the E3 demo, and indeed, this is definitely Redcliffe castle. This statue is just floating in the E3 demo, which could mean it just hasn't started floating yet here. Or, it has finally crashed down, for whatever reason, and this is later in the battle.

Then that dragon must be The Elder One. In the E3 demo you can hear something that sounded like a Dragon roar as the ground shook and a BOOM was heard as if it had landed, then Leliana says "the elder one" and Sera replies with something like: *mumbles something inaudible* "... That's how they won, how IT won!"

So I guess it must have perched itself up on Redcliffe castle and we'll have to go up there and find out what the bloody hell it's playing at whilst it taunts us, lol.

If it's one of the old gods then potentially it almost was! ... Oh man, I think I've just put two and two together.

On the topic of the clan, I hope it'll be different from the one in TME. I have hope in this regard since the Keeper seems interested about elves in general, and not just dalish.

I mean, I thought I laid it all out pretty clearly and spoke slow enough for people to understand my accent (or lack of) easy enough. :-/

I think it's more a matter of people's comprehension because you explained it very clearly. To me, you have an accent, but it just makes you pleasant to listen to. Me, you'd probably have trouble understanding, unless you have a lot of friends who say "ya'll" and "fixin'" and who use "tank" to mean a pond...

It's funny for me that the Elder One seems to be the main antagonist or own of the major ones, since when I choose my username back in the Bethesda forum (and then ported on the new Biowsre forum), I was torn between mine and 'The Elder One'.

Hmmm, could be.

I also noticed something new when I watched the trailer again. Remember the part at the end? When he says "Bow before your new god and be spared"?

I think he says that after his first lines about the maker. I have seen using lines like that before in trailers.

I reckon he's trying to encourage the likes of Corypheus etc to break into the black/gold city again or "put the Fade in Thedas" (badum tish!) to either usurp the Maker or become a god to rival the Maker by ruling over Thedas and being worshipped. Or maybe Corypheus woke him up because he wanted to get back into the black city to find out why it went wrong... I mean, if he's already darkspawn/messed up he probably thinks he can get back in there since he himself is already tainted.

... Ah, I dunno, lol.

Didn't he say that the Maker doesn't exist? He might be taunting the PC, but I think he might believe he doesn't exist. It won't be the first time someone said this (though if he's truly an old God it means the Maker didn't throw them underground).
On this note, it'll be weird if he taunts my Fëanor Lavellan about the Maker, since he's not going to be that bothered about it .

Ah, here we go:

"What the Old Gods actually are and their relation to the Maker is very mysterious. It is unknown if one predates the other. The Old Gods are not creators and although they exist outside the Chantry's pantheon, the people of ancient Tevinter do attribute the creation of the world to the Maker, although by a different name. The Chantry teaches that the Old Gods were false deities. They turned mortals from worship of the Maker, an act recognized as the "First Sin". As a result, the Maker imprisoned them underground. Their minds continued to roam the Fade like any other dreaming individuals' mind would, and they were able to contact the Magisters and teach them to use magic in hope that the magisters might free them. It was for this reason that the magisters entered the Golden City in a failed attempt to usurp the Maker's throne, inadvertently causing the First Blight."

I agree that Cory is an agent of the Elder One, whatever that is. I wonder if the Elder One is the one Flemeth is acting against...or perhaps she is against an even greater entity.

If he's an Old God, Cory will surely be his agent...and I think It'd mean the Elder One might be Dumat.

Yeah, so he either doesn't believe in him or he's trying to convince others that he doesn't exist in order to make it easier for them to start worshipping him instead.

In regards to the other races, he'll probably say that their god/gods don't exist, lol.

But Dumat was slain during the first blight... unless somehow it's soul managed to take over the body of one of the others that are still sleeping... he was the leader of them, after all.

It'd be great, though I wonder how it'll work for and qunari, and dwarves on a minor note.

...Or this Elder One is trying to make you *think* he's an Old One. I dunno. There's something about the way he taunts you that I can't help but feel that he's pulling a fast one. Like, if I were really one of the Old Ones awakened after all this time (or a resurrected Dumat popping out of the Void), I don't know that I'd feel the need to convince everyone I was real, you know?

I'm going to assume the Elder One is something new.   I think the dragon in the trailer was a red herring.

I know, but I read that something in Legacy hinted at him still alive (haven't played the dlc).
Plus, if the Elder One is an OG, since he was the leader (possibly the oldest) It'd makes sense for him to be called the Elder one.
Though I won't discount the possibility of him being something else. Anyway I can't wait to find out .

Is it possible that one of the non-tainted gods has been woken up in a darkspawn-independent manner (by Cory or the Venatori) and is now the Elder one?

Edit: you know what, ignore me :D I'm just lurkring around in the forums and I'm too tired for my brain to follow, causing me to make posts about things everybody's already discussing. Sorry :D

That would be fun, if he was a fraud... like, maybe he can just shape shift into a Dragon, like Flemeth can and that's what he's up to. Certainly explains why the Venatori seem to be all for it, they think he's an old god, lol.
