Well, just because he could be more assertive in bed doesn't mean he would be less attentive. I guess I just like the more dominant ones lol
I think it may just be that the word "dominant" means different things to different people, so semantics. ![]()

I'm really sorry to be this person, but "rogues" is spelled "rogues."
"Rouge" means red.
Seriously, I'm sorry; I can't help it!

You're only that person because I didn't get to the thread fast enough. ![]()
And to join into the topic-I would like any potential romance with Cullen and my Inquisitor to have the dynamics of having to sort out the power struggle (whether implied or real) between the two. I think his own sense of honor and duty would have to have that settled first. Probably *more* so if I were to play a mage inquisitor.
I think I'm going to play scout/rogue Inquisitor first, but I would play a mage romancing Cullen *if* it felt like a natural exploration of trust and power (because I am fascinated by the dynamic that would almost have to be between any mage familiar with the circle and any templar-especially if they're both decent people.).
All I can say for sure is I will be disappoint if there is no Hawke-esque flirt response expressing the Inquisitor's desire to "be smited."
Will also be surprised if he reciprocated that sentiment instead of running away letting him/her down. "So tired of these mage protagonists coming onto me. We just met!"

I'm planning on romancing Cullen with a former circle mage (now apostate) character who was badly abused by templars. So in addition to Cullen learning to trust a mage, my mage will be learning to trust a templar. ![]()

I just had a flash in my head of Cullen trying to hightail it out of there but runs smack dab into a glyph of paralysis.
So here's something I used to wonder about which may bear dusting off now that we know Cullen's a LI. Given how duty-bound he is, I always imagine him having very strong opinions about chain of command. So, now imagine Cullen is the Inquisitor's subordinate and he reports to her/him. Or say, Cullen's not technically under the Inquisitor (no pun intended, hurr hur hurr), so it's not really fraternization, but she/he still outranks him. How would this impact a romance? How would he feel about it? How would your Inquisitor feel about it?
(edited to be more appropriately gender neutral. thanks eluvianix!)

R2, you know I was totally joking about that lol

And then the Inquisitor closes in to have his/her wicked way with our dear frozen Templar...

Thus the world then learns the real reason mages have been locked up for a thousand years. ![]()
Poor guy.

Perhaps we can try out the "electricity thing"... ![]()
The majority of my Inquisitors wouldn't care, but that's because I like playing characters who are all "Sure, make me a leader of a big organisation. I have no idea what the firckin' frack I'm doin', and was completely normal until the Fire Nation attacked fade did the thing, but hey! Sure. Why not? Let's see how long this goes before I break something..." ![]()
As for Cullen... *rubs chin and considers*
Perhaps we can try out the "electricity thing"...
What IS the electricity thing? Dx
Whoa, poor Cullen! As if he needed more PTSD!
Somehow I'm getting a flashback with Family Guy's Peter when he was abstinent xD
R2, you know I was totally joking about that lol
oh I know! But I should have included it that way the first time! I get a little fem!PC-centric. ![]()
For myself, I like to imagine it being a little bit of a problem for him. If he's a bit unfamiliar with personal relationships, I could see him having a hard time separating the professional and personal. Like, as a professional, he shouldn't be questioning the Inquisitor's orders, but as his/her lover, he let's his own opinions slip through, leading to some fun awkwardness.

Wait, please tell me you're joking!
*slowly starts to grin like the Cheshire Cat*
While we are on the topic of Cullen's romance, I have found a song to encapsulate my desires from him:

Something tells me that I am going to adore Varric's banter in regards to the romance. It's gonna be absolutely hilarious.

Sadly......no I'm not. o3o
Anders' did use a little bit of magic during his love scene... Mages must do some really freaky things in bed. Surprised they haven't been freed sooner. ![]()
I believe that would be too much too soon for poor Cullen, nonetheless.

Oh god, not the ear sex!

We'd give him the night of his life lol

Oh yeah, that episode made me deeply uncomfortable.
I'm pretty sure being paralyzed and sexually assaulted by a mage would make Cullen even more mage-phobic, poor guy!
Oh god, not the ear sex!
Don't forget "Last night....the Inquisitor was....THE MAN! (Unless they actually are then disregard)" xD

.....All I heard were awkward kissing moans....no magic o3o
