Someone gave me a Career Barbie game CD as a joke. I kept it tacked on my bulletin board for years.. with nail holes in it. If I'd had a gun at the time, it would have been bullet holes.

I was just thinking that the images are much clearly on that post than it was in the trailer, I guess that stands to reason since YT lowers the quality to videos significantly. 

 

Loving Cullen's neck beard and the detail of Dorian's face, totally didn't notice his beauty spot!

I love how his goatee isn't so clean cut anymore, it's like he got out of the Templars and was like "awesome, now I don't have to bother with having a precision shave anymore!"

That helmet can't be comfortable for his ears, looks like its pressing on them. At the very least I would think its annoying, it would annoy the hell out of me for sure lol.

I think I can see a faint one. Hard to tell on a phone. Although I am surprised to see a strap on the helmet just kinda hanging there. Is Cullen too awesome to buckle up his helmet?

Okay! Well, in light of the demo I have one that has to do with dialogue and undead. Kind of. If you squint. 

 

Inquisitor Question Time

 

Already forced into a situation where they have to lead an organisation with historical roots and that many once feared, I'm certain that might wear on the nerves of even the hardiest soldier. How does your Inquisitor deal with stress and uneasy situations when they're also forced to keep a brave face for their leadership role? Do they become more terse and short with their fellows? Do they deflect with humour? Do they grow quiet and hope that their companions will mistake silent panic for quiet concentration? 

 

Bonus:

If their reactions were different before they were forced to be a leader, how did they react to stress and uneasy situations before the Inquisition? And how do they swallow that natural reaction so they can pretend they're a strong leader now? Do they bother to pretend?

 

Bonus bonus:

Every leader has their breaking point, when things become too much, how would they calm down their nerves after a particularly gruelling confrontation?

Delphine is already a relatively quiet person (she generally only talks if she has something to say), so when she's under pressure, she'd just stop talking. You need to watch her eyes-- when she's particularly stressed or distressed, she has a tendency to shut them tightly for a few minutes at a time, as if she's trying to shut the world out. When her eyes are open, there's a tightening in her eyes, a brittleness there that belies any reassurances she may give about her mental state. She holds herself as taut as a bowstring, and she keeps herself constantly busy or else she'll end up torturing herself with her thoughts ("Was that the right thing to do? Was this the right call? Oh Maker, this is too much...").

 

If you try and force her to talk, then she might be a little short with you. She'll make it clear that you should hurry up with your business so they can all move on. However, she's at her best when she's with people, and at her worst when she's isolated. However terse she might get, it's best to keep her company.

 

Before the Inquisition, she'd deflect with a little humour, but she was surrounded by her family and friends then. She could get away with being a little snarky. Now? She snarks sometimes, but as time wears on, she does it less and less. Sometimes she'll slip, depending on who she's around and how comfortable she is with them. 

 

And if she's really comfortable with someone, then she'll let herself stop for a little bit. She'll stop to rest with them, rest her body, rest her mind, might even confide in her insecurities a little. And if life had been particularly gruelling lately, then she might even doze off for a little bit, completely relaxed and vulnerable in their company. 

 

And when things get too much, when the decisions become more brutal, when the burden of leadership becomes too heavy, then look for her in the music room, or anywhere where there's a piano. She'll be playing her heart and soul out there. If she really trusts you (or rather, if she's too weary to even protest your presence), she might even let you listen. Sit with her a while, on the bench, and watch her frame, watch her fingers, watch her face. Watch as she transcribes all of her weariness and hurt into the keys, into the notes. Her eyes will flutter closed as the tension eases out of her, her frame will become looser, she will start to look more her age as her fingers dance across the keys. Her musicality is not all innate, it is talent cultivated by years of hard work, of constant practising; this is talent augmented with skill hard-earned. 

 

You know things are bad if she sings. It means she no longer cares if anyone can hear her. You could, however, try singing to her. Or humming. Whistling. Tap out a tune. She adores music; her heart is like an orchestra, and when it breaks, the music spills out. She will listen if you sing, or play.

 

And if there is no music room, then look up. She'll be running around on the rooftops, or the trees, somewhere high, climbing as high as she can. At any other time, this would be okay--but at this time? Go get her. She's pushing herself too hard, too high, too fast. She's being reckless, careless. She will climb high and she will fall fast, hard. Make her stop moving. Make her look down. She's focusing on the big picture because it's easier, make remember the small details, the people, you. Make her see your face, remember your likes, dislikes. Talk about your soldiers, your troops, your spies, your scribes. Your companions, both new and old, of hopes for the future and of days long past. The little things, the small intangible things that make a person a person. Looking down will sober her up, steady her. It'll get her to remember to dig her heels onto solid ground, to steady herself, center herself.

I love his stubble! It just adds so much character (and looks attractive so there's that lol), they have come so far in developing unique character looks! I love all the details on the others too. If my Inquisitor can't have a beauty mark like Dorian and Morrigan I will be momentarily disappointed kind of. Then I'll get distracted by more cool and shiny things in CC and forget about it. Derp. But I do hope we can add little details like that to out own Inquisitor. : )

And he looks so good~ I think it was wonky lighting in some of the first screenshots they showed us that made him look much older. He is perfection! (Thank you artists responsible for creating his look and model. Gold stars for them all)

Skyhold appears to be situated in a rather cold location,I think my inquisitor might borrow that coat of his,when she's feeling chilly.

I still think his nose could do with some work, but like they said the characters are supposed to have flaws rather than being textbook perfect.

This applies to his DA2 nose, but he's already had a flawed and weird nose in DAO--wish they'd just bring that one back instead of the puffy and cartoony ones! I totally sympathize with why it would be boring / unfulfilling / insulting for a 3D artist to be told "OK, here's a pre-existing character, make him look exactly like he did before only more realistic and 3 - 10 years older", but I really hope his final appearance leans towards the more recognizable looks we've seen (assuming that was a function of actual model differences and not lighting, facial expressions, etc.).

As for the goatee, I did like it better than the stubble (in a 180° reversal of my real world opinions on goatees and stubble, but part of Cullen's physical charm to me is having so many traits I find unattractive IRL), but that lion helmet jawline shot remains the best thing ever, so no complaints there.

(everybody do me a favor and don't tell me what percentage of my 500-some posts here involve strong opinions about Cullen's nose; I don't want to know)

I think that is his final appearance. By now it'll be in lockdown, all they'll do from here is improve on skin and hair textures etc.

So... My friend got me The Sims 4 preorder for PC for my b-day (which is tomorrow ). I can't play it on my laptop but my brother in law was dropping hints about helping me build a tower!!! Like he knows a guy and stuff. He told my friend it was okay to surprise me with TS4 because I'd have a new computer soon. I was like... What?? Anyway... This means... Even if I don't get Blackwall I will be able to use mods!!! Solas with hair! Dorian with facial hair I can handle! (Ha!) A boyfriend for Auren!!!

I don't hold out hope for a Cullen mod. Still traumatized over Alistair calling my male Surana a beautiful woman *snort*
