Spock's logic for Cullen to be a companion:

Bioware DA never mentioned NPC romances, the fans did that.

Bioware DA has never had NPC romances in the past (that are comparable to ME NPC romances)

Greg Ellis confirmed both Romance and Companion in his Twitter. (Which was deleted later on, but damage control for the cat being let out of the bag too soon)

Greg Ellis confirmed that he will have a much larger part in Inquisition.

The devs are having too much fun watching the fans run with something that they never said. Fan tears, yes! And they are free!

This is a very nice collection of facts. If not for the Grey Warden lurking in the corners and the likely 3/3/3 split, I'd completely agree.

Today I finally got to upgrade my old samsung mythic to the galaxy s4, which just now got me thinking:

 

Would Cullen be an android or iOS user? I find this question to be perfectly legitimate and indicative towards his own personality.

I think Cullen would have a basic clicky talk-and-text phone like me.   It's simple, streamlined, and no fuss! Perfect for communicating in the field, but without added distractions. 

 

Or maybe Cullen just can't afford a data plan, like me!

Nah, the fic is pretty reliant on Cullen not being able to go out and traverse with the Inquisitor. I could probably finagle it, but, hopefully I'd be so inspired by companion Cullen that something else would strike me.

Ugh, CC. What I've taken to doing is booting up an older file of DA2, going to the black emporium, making the character face I want, and then taking it on a test drive around Kirkwall. I edit it from there, takes pictures of the sliders when I'm happy, and then start up a new game. Ta-daa~! Your face is perfect!
