I didn't sign up for the Keep, because I know that I'm terrible for checking my inbox and would miss it.
I bought SWTOR nearly 12 months after launch and only discovered a few months later that I'd been sent the beta for it over 2 years previously! I blame BSN for not telling me I still had unread mail after all that time!

I'd be expecting that to happen in DAI...
Big Powerful expanding mercenary Army, suddenly unneeded, no enemy to fight...it strikes me too similar to the knights templar, they got massive during the third crusade.
Establishing secured trade routes, banking, etc and got powerful and wealthy...and then they were just an inconvenience once the fighting was done.
