Today is Easter and 420... and Hitler's 125th birthday. Best to ignore that last one, because it completely ruins the first two, eh?
Damned Nazi's have to ruin everything!
Aaaannnnnnnd there goes my day...

I have to work Easter - but at least I get holiday pay for Sunday and Monday!
I was planning on going to church before work but since I'm not feeling well I may not. Need to be reasonably coherent for my shift and all.

Aaaannnnnnnd there goes my day...
Sorry bout that, I only remember because I count my lucky stars I was born on the 18th, a few days earlier and I'd have been born on the Hillsborough Disaster, a few days later and I'd share my birthday with a genocidal madman...
Here, everyone take an Easter egg to make up for that bringing the mood down.
Back to Cullen news;
I was just wondering, given how photo-realistic the images we've gotten so far are, how do you think Cullen will appear in the new engine?

So a question for the true Cullen fans.
If it turns out how it seems and Cullen will NOT be a companion but more an NPC like Trynor or Cortez will that kinda kill it for you? Just wondering since even if they give you allot of content it will still take away from party banter and the like which is some of the cutest moments in DA games. (like Isabela teasing Merrill about naked Hawke for example)
My preference would be for a companion romance, but no, I'd still enjoy the game and the romance either way. I'd like to bring Cullen on my adventures, see the sights with him, and hear him bantering with the party, but I'm happy with his role either way. It would be nice to have him as a companion but my heart isn't set on it.
So, Cullen question:
Previous DA games have all had companions who would leave/turn on you if certain requirements weren't met/your PC made a choice they could not abide by (like Wynne, Leliana, Zevran, Fenris, Isabella, etc) -- would you like Cullen to have a hard-line personality like this? I ask because I can see a precedent for it in his personality/actions in the past games, so I can see this happening with him (and most of the known companions so far except maybe Varric again and that may change).
And a follow up question: how likely are you to metagame your Inquisitors actions/choices in order to avoid losing Cullen if he can be lost?
I think losing Cullen would be possible but I think it would have to be for something pretty grievous (blood magic, demons, wholesale slaughter of innocents.) I don't think his approval would be very touchy.
If I'm correct about that, I won't need to metagame because I don't see my character doing anything that would bother him so badly he'd take off.
If not, I've never metagamed to keep a companion, and I don't really plan on it. If the characters aren't compatible, they aren't.
Is the chant sung? Or is it just read?
I always assumed it was chanted? So somewhere in between, with the melody centered on the reciting tone?
So, if that's true, do you think Cullen is bringing his Templars from Kirkwall? What if Keran and his sister are amongst them?
I think if Keran comes, we're going to have a problem! I/my Hawke screwed up his life pretty badly incorrectly thinking he was an abomination! ![]()

I'm really sorry to be this person, but "rogues" is spelled "rogues."
"Rouge" means red.
Seriously, I'm sorry; I can't help it!

If you want to get non religious about it heres something I learned today...Easter is originally the holiday to celebrate fertility and sex, not bunnies and jesus. Yeah, so that's a thing.

Can someone find any links or quotes where a dev said that Bioware was incorporating NPC romances into Inquisition? Or is this assumption that Cullen is going to be an NPC romance based on that supposed leak that talks about Purple Crows, Red Fists and Golden Coins?

The devs have never said it, it's just a fan assumption.

I don't think devs have even mentioned NPC romances. It's all speculation.

Bunnies go at it like rabbits, so they're definitely fertility and sex related.
Jesus was a bloke who hung around with 12 other men. He's the odd one out, unless you assume something about his orientation that religious people really tend to get angry about...
So lets just agree that he liked rabbits and would have been fond of chocolate if it had existed back then. Problem solved!

Beltane is based on sex and fertility. The eggs represent the female eggs and ovaries, and the rabbits represent the virility of the male. And as I understand it, when the early catholic church wanted to convert the pagans to christianity, the pagans didn't like it because it was too boring and they didn't have their rituals. So the ECC incorporated the rituals, saying that they meant other things (you tell me, seriously, what do eggs and rabbits have to do with the death and resurrection of Jesus?). Same deal with Christmas, the christmas tree and the lights.

Exactly, part of the reason why during the Middle Ages, various historical figures were made saints to appease the local populations who venerated them. So you'd get Saint Bill, the starving fisherman, who's death caused it to rain haddock. Made up, I know, but if there's not a saint like that, I'd be surprised!

At the last supper, if I recall correctly from my lovely years at Catholic school, Jesus broke open the easter egg and turned water into chocolate milk. Then they ate roasted bunnies and played with cheap plastic toys Jesus' mom bought from the local "Dollar-eth Tree-eth". Amen.

Happy Easter... All I've done today is play D&D with some fellow forumites, stuff my face with bacon and chicken toasted sandwiches at lunchtime, and now we're having apple pie for dinner. What is adulthood...
I was gonna write up...a romance scene between Cullen and a male mage Inquisitor...if that's not too risque.
Well this is what my game will consist of if Cullen is bi, so whyyyyy not! ![]()
