Did you guys see this?
WHAAAAT. Read that, but totally missed the part about MORE CULLEN. Awesome!!!

I trust them... but then, I may also be slightly biased, lol.
I am biased to. But still, they're not idiots. They saw what a fiasco ME3 became. They'd be shooting themselves in the foot to do something similar.

Yeah. Somewhat sad I won't get to hear the Cullen VOs for assignments, but on the plus side, I won't be letting him down either, so there's that. Heh.

OH! I missed the specialist part! So sometimes Cullen will explain the mission to us.... well, there's my incentive!!!
It's loosely connected in that in the SP game, you send your soldiers and the like out on missions and whatnot. The MP is basically putting the players in situations like those missions.
I understand if some have reservations because of ME3 and the like, and fully expect some people will simply need to wait until release to be convinced. Which is fair.

Agreed. Hell, even if I hated it I couldn't really complain. The devs have been good to me.
I trust them.
They really do seem to have listened, over the time since DA2 & ME3, to the fanbases concerns, complaints, requests & ideas.
I don't think we have to worry about seeing too many repeats of previous "mistakes" (although that word is subjective, can't think of better, it's too late for me lol).
I'm a pretty happy bunny tonight if I'm honest and I'm really excited for what's to come next ![]()

And we've still got PAX coming up this week, it's gonna be good!
There's a rather substantial number of fans who enjoy that sort of gameplay, and I have no issue with suiting the desires of those fans. By all means, everyone should have fun! So long as they respect the promise to keep the MP from interfering with the SP, I'll be a-okay.

I will probably always be a BioWare fan. I'll be disappointed sure, but outright hate them like some people can? Nah. And I will believe a dev until proven otherwise in-game. ![]()
Just like with ME3, I was really disappointed and just looked at BioWare like: "You can do so much better, I know you can! I KNOW YOU CAN I STILL LOVE YOU."
at 1st i was a wee bit "shocked" (for lack of a better word) when i heard about the MP but after i read that its not gonna be tied to the SP im all good now cause if it were I would never be able to finish the game
thats what I was most scared of
I'm inclined to trust them too, though I'd be reassured if they specifically said MP wouldn't be a way to get points for power and perks in SP (or did I miss that?) I'd be a little worried in that case that people who forgo MP would have a harder time (though I'm still not clear just how important or hard those points are to get). I'm kind of glad I won't have time to do much more than play with the CC a little for the first two or three weeks after launch, though.

They said that - at least for now. The economies are completely separate, the success of missions is not (really) tied to your multiplayer, there are no multiplayer only achievements, and there is no gating of any SP content based on doing something in MP. I think it's safe to ignore it, if you're so inclined.

From the multiplayer FAQ
Will playing MP be required to get the full-game experience?·
No. The SP campaign is separate from MP.
Is MP going to affect my endings in SP?
No. Absolutely not. Our goal with Dragon Age multiplayer is not to affect your SP campaign.
Do I get to transfer items from SP to MP? Or vice versa?
There is no connection between SP items and MP items on purpose.
We wanted to make sure that the two economies are separate, which will allow a stronger progression in both SP and MP.
Not sure if this answers your specific question Tish but I hope it helps allay some reservations ![]()
Too slow to post again, what Shayna said lol,

Very pathetic. And idiotic because being offensive and abusive is the fastest way to make sure no one listens to your criticisms or suggestions.

Okay, I trust Bioware...EA can go die in a pit of doom but Bioware I trust and adore. As I said in the beginning as long as MP did not affect the SP experience in any way, shape, or form then I was all for it. So as of right now I am very happy...but is it weird that I still have some doubts in my mind?
but is it weird that I still have some doubts in my mind?
No, Its a DA game, not a table app, or flash game.
But an edition in the series proper.
Doubt is proper.
Right, so the craptastic multiplayer response has started. How typical and disappointing it is. For the record, I don't care about multiplayer much myself, I'm more excited for it than I thought I would be because of the possibility of the 'last stand of the Cullenites' but really I hate the fact that not liking a feature in a game gives people license to act like jerks. It's just unnecessary and reminds me that I only love the Bioware Forums because of the Cullen Thread and without it I wouldn't be an active poster. ![]()
