So... just gonna leave this here, since it's relevant.

 

I had a strange dream about Cullen last night, for some reason.

 

There were a bunch of soldiers in these ruins and I asked for the officer in charge and it was Cullen.  I called him Knight Captain and he was taken aback, said no one called him that in years.  He was late 30s, early 40s at least.  Then he tried and recognize me, and couldn't, so I spun around in a super fantabulous flourish and fireworks exploded in the background in a 'C' shape for my name and he instantly recognized me with an 'Ah' like he wasn't happy to see me.  XD

Some pages back someone asked if bad looks would have been a dealbreaker about romancing Cullen, so here's my answer:

 

It was Cullen's personality, voice, past story and story possibilities that got me interested in him. To be perfectly honest, by looks alone, at first glance, he wasn't my cup of tea. Now that I'm interested in him, I find him super hot   Ok, not my cup of tea is very different from 'so ugly it's a dealbreaker' but I never found any of the LIs to be in that category so far. In fact, I've only had the opposite problem, where characters I found really up my alley in terms of looks completely turned me away by their personalities.

I can't help but think that the follow up to this scene would be:

Leliana: "Cullen? Cullen, is something wrong?"

Cullen: "It was as if millions of voices suddenly called out my name in unison, then were suddenly silenced..."

Inquisitor Question Time

 

How will your Inquisitor handle the moments when they have to judge the crimes of another? Will they be merciful or harsh? Will they have difficulty making such decisions or will it come easy for them? Will biases show where it comes to different races or cultures? Will it strong depend on the situation and the story behind the crime or will your Inquisitor take a more black and white view on the matter, where circumstances, backstories and mental states will not matter?

 

It will be one of Tempest's most disliked parts of the job, and she'll weigh every decision with a lot of care, introspection, and at times regret. She won't like having that much power over other people's lives, but she'll recognize that someone needs to do it and it's not a responsibility she can shirk.

 

Her overall tendency would be toward being merciful, but it will depend somewhat on the circumstances. Whether anyone got hurt will matter to her, as will intentions. (For example, she would respond very differently to someone being tricked into doing something wrong versus someone being deliberately cruel.) She'd want to give all parties a fair hearing before making any decisions. She also tends to be pretty empathetic when people were mixed up or are deeply regretful.

 

I don't think the person's race or culture would affect her at all, but she would tend to be extra hard on templars who abuse their power or mages who do so, because of her own background.

 

Overall, preventing future harm will be much more important to her than avenging past wrongs.

One tidbit which I believe we hadn't seen the Gamescom videos...

 

There were plenty of opportunities to venture off the beaten path which, in fairness, was something I did more often than not: mainly because I didn’t know where I was supposed to be heading half the time. This paved the way for serendipity, though, in the form of hidden collectables and even a campsite guarded by a particularly nefarious sorceress who wasn’t eager to share her stew on a stormy night. Seemingly alone, I rushed at her, only to be surrounded by baddies when she cast a spell to call in support. I cycled through my party members to make short work of the group.

I'm guessing a lot depends on who you're romancing. I always thought it was weird that you could be in a relationship with Alistair and flirt with his uncle right in front of him. I'd agree that Cullen's probably on the list of those who wouldn't take it well.

 

I agree about Greg Ellis, he seems to have a great sense of humor about the Cullenites.

I just love these guys and their willingness to engage and interact us. It takes them to a whole differerent level of awesomeness!

I'm struggling to remember what it was like a few years ago without Twitter updates etc. when we used to get drip fed the information, having to wait on official announcements and/or forum posts

 

I'm lucky, my quizzy won't be a flirt so I'm in no danger of the evil glare lol having said that, she is pretty naive and may also miss important flirts directed to her, now that would be a disaster

Yeah he's okay now. They still don't know what's wrong, he had bad chest pain and was rush to ED yestie morning (no one from his work bothered to contact me) and seems like it's either muscular or he has an infection causing fluid around the heart... both is not serious thank god and now he's got all his meds and seems to be doing well thanks
