I need to make myself feel better, so question time! Admittedly late...
Inquisitor Question Time
Everyone has flaws or something that haunts them. What is your Inquisitor's biggest flaw? Or what is something that personally haunts them? Such as temper, depression, anxiety, an inability to commit, fear of attachment... things such as that.
(If anyone's here to answer?
)
I'm back on Canada time! So maybe now my answers won't be tons of pages forward. :S
Delphine's biggest flaw is kinda also one of her strengths, which is her ability to keep moving forward. Except that she does it too much, in that her thought process after making a decision goes something like this--"Don't look back, just keep moving. Don't think about it, just move on. Don't dwell on things." And that's all well and good for smaller decisions, but not for the bigger things, like, "Go and save the Keep over the village" or, "30 people here will die so 100 people over there can live." Being able to accept the consequences of your decisions and move on is a good thing, but in order to do that you have to be able to stop and think about them. And Delphine doesn't stop, or at least, not for long enough for it all to set in. She has a tendency to focus only on the big picture and forget about the smaller details that make up that big picture (and I think this is because she was a noble who never had much to worry about in her life). That kind of stuff will build up and haunt her later when she has to come face to face with the smaller details, like having to go back and see what happened to Crestwood Village, for instance. And then that's when she'll start to second guess all of her other previous decisions as well as any future ones and she'll be paralyzed with guilt and anxiety until she either snaps herself out of it or someone else does.
As I write her, I'm starting to realize she might be a little depressed as well. She definitely has PTSD.
Oh, and she has this tendency to get belligerent and a little petulant when faced with something she doesn't want to do. Or stopped from doing something she actually wants to do. She can be a little spoiled. It comes from being the youngest and being a noble.
